Hello, I have a Aveo 1.2 which has been converted to gas. It is a Brc system. I always heard the gas vehicles need an extra (Flash magnifying glass) That should lubricate the valves because gas burns dryer than gasoline. My question is now my vehicle has no flash lupe it is not intended there. I asked my dealer and they said you don’t need such a thing with their vehicle. My neighbor also has such a vehicle and now has an engine damage after 75,000 K M valves. He means it is due to the lack of lubrication. Do I have to fear it too ?? Could someone clarify me ?? Greeting Stefan

Lacetti: despite ignition, all control lights in the instrument cluster are illuminated
Hello friends! First of all, here’s a Healthy New Year!!!!!!!! And now my problem: my friend’s Lacetti has been having problems electronically for a few weeks now. When she turns off the ignition and pulls the key, all the control lights in the instrument cluster start to light up again. Also the tank indicator suddenly shows up again. Partially the problem also occurred when the car was locked by ZV. The car otherwise runs impeccable. My suspicion was the ignition lock. (????) MFG Cleandevil

1. Inspection at the Matiz – Cruel !!!
Hello, we bought a Matiz as a second car in Feb 2009. New, 0km, approved Dec. 2008. Because of the warranty we should now for the 1st inspection. My wife comes from the dealer and had to pay 313 Euro – I thought that is a joke. The car has driven just 4000 km and they made an oil change (of course with synthetic oil), pollen filter, oil filter, gear oil changed. In addition a valve cover seal for 13 Euro. Wage costs 190,– Euro !!! in the Matiz ???? In the 3rd year the next inspection is to come (I think it costs then at least 350,– Euro). I find such maintenance costs absolutely untimely. First the people with a cheap purchase price lure, then rip off about the service…. What do you think ?????

MATIZ 0.8
Hello dear people! I am thinking of buying a Matiz 0.8 (new car or short registration). What I have read so far in the forum was actually quite positive (except for the start problems with a 0.8er) 🙁 I am looking for a cheap car for the local transport, which is reasonable both in purchase and maintenance. Inside I have already sat, test drive is still standing. In Austria you get 3 years warranty + 3 years kotenloses service. Now to the question to your conscience 😉 Who would advise me or advise me not to buy? Or who can recommend me to another car? I also looked at the Smart more closely, ….. for the new price from the Matiz, you get an approx. 2 years old smart, without warranty, and service costs should also be a lot higher. You can sell the Smart better than the Matiz. LG Chris

Chevrolet: GM advances repositioning in Europe
The future two-brand strategy of GM in Europe is beginning to emerge from the publications of GM Europe as well as various press releases: Here are some links:www.ad-hoc-news.de/…/20793997http://newsticker.sueddeutsche.de/list/id/882408http://media.gm.com/…/12_04_StatementsNickReilly What does this mean for us as Chevrolet drivers? In my opinion, nothing bad: because with an expansion of the Chevrolet brand in Europe a further expansion of the dealer’s trade will probably also be possible. It is also not surprising that with the increasing quality of the vehicles their price is also rising. However, I expect Chevrolet to remain true to his principle “a lot of car for little money”, i.e. to offer a lot of car for money. However, Chevrolet Europe will have to clarify a few questions: I have to wait for my new Cruze now for 4 months. I find this already hard at the border of the Acceptables. Further delivery time extensions must be prevented in any case. Thus, the question will arise whether the almost exclusive production of the vehicles in South Korea at GM Daewoo for the global market (with the exception of some vehicles for the Russian market as well as some holds in Australia, as well as the Cruze for the US market) can remain like this, or whether Chevrolet has to broaden its production base here. However, this must be at comparable production costs and z In addition, the question arises at some point whether Chevrolet Europe as currently 100% daughter of GM Daewoo is still properly positioned in South Korea. In short, for me it is a fundamentally good, consistent and overdue way, which will lead to many homework to be done at Chevrolet and GM Daewoo — hopefully anyway. For Opel, it means more freedom, but also the compulsion to get “up” into the Premiums to orient, because Chevrolet will “knabbern” strongly from below. Let’s see if this is what the Opel brand is giving… What’s going on in your head? The Cruezle greets

Engine jerks, squirts mega strong,
Hello, on the way from work to home have noticed that something stinks very much. Then I went down from the gas (drived there about 120) and saw in the rear-view mirror mega white cloud! I stopped and engine ruckelt very strong (smooth but not) Then I drove further and every time, where easy slope was it started to smoke again very strongly. So I drove up to home. Spark plugs I removed all (were smeared with oil and also quite old) Then all back in, engine started, each cable pulled off individually, starting with the fourth cylinder. At the fourth cylinder jerked without any difference to before, at the third the same, at the second and first engine almost went off, so clear difference) At the exhaust smelled like gasoline, then I switched to LPG and it smelled no longer like gasoline but something different. What could it be? Could it be that 2 candles have failed in a row? Please help My car: Chevrolet Captiva, 2.4 L LPG

As in previous years, we would like to take stock at the end of the year and ask you how you came through the year 2013 with your mobile kit. Was everything to your satisfaction or were there worries and annoyances with your vehicle or the service of the manufacturer? How satisfied were you in 2013 with your Chevrolet? Voice in We have a direct connection to many manufacturers and the manufacturers are also reading on MOTOR-TALK. That’s why your opinion is exactly where it should end up: at Chevrolet.

Headlights don’t work, main beam does.
Hello, I hope one of you can give me a wink in the right direction, because with my Aveo (BJ2011, Schrägheck) both headlights no longer work and I don’t know what this can still be about :’-( Here my previous findings: driving light works normal, parking light works normal, fuses are all whole, (“cuttered” with a multimeter) all relays work (relais replaced with parking light relay, and parking light worked) Oh yes, and Glü hbirnen also look good. I changed one for the test and didn’t do anything. Does one of you know what this can still be about? 1) I thought about a wire harness problem, but unfortunately I didn’t find a schematic and can’t find a suitable one. 2) In the Rep. guide I found the phrases “Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module” and “Lamp Control Module”. Do you think it can be due to one of these modules with the synthesizers? If so, how can you test them? 3) Often the light switch is also called among the potential culprits, but the light normally goes directly after engine start, regardless of the light switching position. Does this not exclude this possibility? Did someone ever have such a problem or has a good advice? I would be very grateful to you for a tip, lg Edizius PS: I just have a Marder damage: I was tapped on the heating hose. between Chassie and ??. starter? alternator? ?? Maybe this will help one or the other with the fault reduction.

chevrolet Orlando 1,8 141 ps Bj 2011 with error P0301
Hello good evening, my buddy has n problem with his Orlando…. Engine control light on, the gas giving can be difficult on… when the accelerator pedal is fully passed it only runs on 3 cylinders…. then I have read out the error memory. Error P0301 🙁 I then renewed all spark plugs. many plug connections opened with contact spray spray spray and put together again. Refueled test drive made and still fond the asr or esp ( the lamp with the two curve n a) and the engine control light on. error memory read out, again the error p0301 cylinder 1 igniter. I don’t know why both lamps go on at the same time, I don’t know exactly what it is. but what also seems funny to me, just before the error occurred the clutch was renewed. maybe someone can help? many thanks
