  • Chevrolet Malibu: Diesel or petrol

Hello, I just signed up here in the hope that I can collect information about Chevrolet Malibu here. It’s clear that this is supposed to be my next car. After many German cars, I’m attracted by a cozy Ami sled. Now the question arises: take the petrol or the diesel? I care about the reliability for many years. Driving performance is more or less irrelevant, since I only cruise with the children anyway. I found out that the petrol It has a control chain and the diesel has a timing belt. That speaks for the petrol engine. But I don’t know the petrol engine of Malibu. Is that a reliable companion? It should not consume more than 8-9 liters. I have two specific Malibu in mind: The diesel model has the double mileage (about 70,000) like the petrol engine, is cheaper in the purchase. What speaks for the petrol engine: the low mileage, the double exhaust system (see nice off) and that a petrol engine in a Chevy probably fits better, than the diesel. Both models have the 6 gears automatic transmission, the LTZ equipment and are built in 2012. The annual driving performance is about 15,000 km. So has time in the keys. I thank in advance!

  • Chevi Spark experiences highway?

Hello for the first time, at the moment a Micra is driving but unfortunately I have to say goodbye to him. The time is pressing, a car needs to be found. And for the fast to find an adequate Nissan difficult. Now I got a Spark 1.0 50 kW. A little km, would be worth considering. Only driving daily about 80 km of motorway, would the Spark be suitable for this at all and can I expect from it a similar performance as from Nissan Micra? Or, for example, will overtake thereby difficult? Am not a Raser, w he also with Nissan 😉 but I would like to get a bit forward. Just as wind, how does Spark behave on highway with wind? Would be great if someone could answer me. Thanks! Lg

  • New Chevrolet Aveo from 2011 – Experiences

Hello, I wanted to ask once in the round how the first experiences with the new Aveo are (KL1T from 2011). I have been driving a 1.4 LT+ for a week now and am very satisfied with a few small things. On the first 500km the following things have been noticed: – small lead hole when starting – the nervous clutch needs a lot of feeling – steering wheel stands at straight-out minimally oblique – the outer door opener lining of the rear left door stood a little off, so Wasse r was now directed in the workshop All in all a fine car – which has to prove itself in the long-term quality but still has to say hello Alex

  • Chevrolet Epica 2.5

Hello. I came across the forum by chance. I would like to make my statement about the Chevrolet. This back and forth, BMW, Audi, Opel or Chrevrolet. Image or not. At first I drove Opel Omega, via Audi to BMW (E39), Chevrolet Camaro and again Opel Omega. All cars had their advantages. Unfortunately, I have to confess that I had the least problems with Audi and BMW. The Chevrolet Epica appeals with equipment and a beautiful 6 cylinder. Was pleasantly surprised. e the 6 cylinder of BMW and must say…, Epica: class. The price is much cheaper than dtsch. vehicles. There there is a corresponding surcharge list, so that one(s) easily comes to a EUR price for a naughty 3er in the amount of EUR 45,000,-. These are -times apart from DM times almost 80,000,- DM. For a THREE!!! Hmm, wrong world. I drove the USAsia car and decided to think about it. Image or not. It should be decided by everyone themselves whether e r wants to pay for the brand name or not. It is judged in Germany about what kind of car is possible. If you are on the road in the BMW or Mercedes, that means… oh, there is money behind it. Nobody sees that the cars belong to the bank. I am happy to drive a car in short, which gives me personal fun and what is good in the price-performance ratio. Despite all doubters and nörglers.

  • Chevrolet Cruze Diesel PS/Consumption

Hello dear Chevrolet friends, I am interested in a Chevrolet Cruze with the 2.0 diesel. On the internet there is everywhere that the diesel has 150 hp…. on the Chevrolet side, however, it is 163 hp. Is this a mistake or why you can find nowhere else the data with 163 hp? On the other hand, I would be very interested in the consumption. I would have to drive 100 km of highway every day. According to the Chevrolet HP, the Cruze should have an average consumption of 5.6 liters…but the 150 hp on a actually higher consumption of ~ 7 liters (according to spritmonitor.de & a test report) If the car consumes more than 6 liters on the track (120/130 kmh) it is unfortunately out of the question. Can someone tell me something about it? Thank you

  • Camaro V or something else

Hello Camaro lover. I am looking for a slightly stronger ride that I can easily drive all year round and have fun with. I noticed the Camaro V and how cheap it is to have as a V6. Otherwise I come from the BMW fraction. To my selection are the vehicles: – Camaro V as a V6 – BMW E36 328i – BMW E60 M5 V10 – Maserati Quattroporte I am especially important, especially the quality and driving fun. I have read and experienced a little now. that the Americans are quite easily in contrast to our German manufacturers. Spare parts are even a bit cheaper than with my E46 convertible, at least brakes. The E46 itself is not really cheap depending on the part. Do you have tips for me on what I have to pay attention to during visits and best experiences about the mentioned car. Spare parts for the chassis, so costs etc. Monthly I always have over 1000 left after deduction of invoices and fun in private life. Driver: can handle rear drive very well. No matter what the weather is. Work journeys are 3-4 km back and forth. But I would leave it on nice days often ind with the mofa drive. Consumption is probably 14-15 liters on big cities realistic?

  • GMC Safari / Chevy Astro Restoration – Who can help?

Hi together, I bought a GMC Safari this year in a relatively orderly condition. Now I want to restore the vehicle a little bit, to adapt it to my taste and also because the previous owner did not have the best care about it… It is primarily about motor and mechanics matters and then also the electrics. There is certainly something to optimize at the combustion, because on constant highway rides it ruptures sometimes and when starting it needs 15-20sec. until the engine runs round. But that doesn’t happen often. The next step would be to replace the complete AC! It leaks and I assume that some parts must be replaced anyway (after first inspection) and sealed off. Third step: replace mechanical parts that are rather deficient or will soon give up the mind. Fourth step: motor tuning? Perhaps you can optimize the power and reduce the consumption? With chip tuning? Fifth step itt: There is such a steel strut on the engine at the front, where many parts are screwed on. This is quite rusty. Don’t know how the part is called, unfortunately I’m not a mechanic! Can send photos if someone is interested. Well, can someone help me with the project in any form? Parts? Experiences? Tips? A real car mechanic, no would likers because of which I have experienced enough in the last months and made bad experiences… coming from CH, it would be advantageous to find someone in the south of DE so that you can leave the van for a few days. Thanks in advance!

  • Timing belt damage on the Evanda

Hello guys, today at KM-Stand 83476 my good Evanda stopped. The ADAC man said it was the timing belt, slo valves broken. In the workshop you saw a loose timing belt, but it was not torn. Tomorrow I get closer hints. I will then get back to you immediately. LG

  • Chevrolet Cruze

First of all, I’m sorry. I know, of course, that the subject has already been dealt with under other names, but I think it’s time to name the child by name. That’s why a new topic with the name of the car. Chevrolet Cruze. Information about the car is unfortunately very scarce so far. I hope that will change in the next few weeks, as the car will be at the dealership in the coming months. What’s new, perhaps. GM indicates a consumption of 40MPG at the Detroit Motor Show. This means a consumption of 5,9l/100km and thus 141g CO2. Unfortunately, I do not know if Americans indicate the consumption as an average consumption in a third mix, or if only the lowest possible consumption is mentioned. Until then

  • Recommended purchase / Tips Chevrolet Nubira Autogas

hello together, on my search for a new “good, cheap used” I stumbled over a nubira with LPG:http://suchen.mobile.de/…/171653535.html?… I didn’t know much about LPG and not about chevrolet either. however the car makes a very good impression and the dealer is well known here with us and some friends bought there and can report nothing negative. equipment has unfortunately almost none except the leather, but the LPG pulls na what do I have to pay attention to? how is the car to be seen in the maintenance, tax insurance? come with such an LPG follow-up costs, has to be maintained or something like that? similar from the price, but clearly better equipped, is this colleague still here:http://suche.mobile.de/…/182266200.html?… the ultimate goal is to find a car with at least a bit of equipment and a favorable maintenance, also what spare parts, maintenance etc. What do you think, in direct comparison? am grateful to tips 🙂 dear greetings daspossum
