  • My experience with the Forthing 5

    Hello and good evening, I’m new here in this forum and want to make a small contribution to the Forthing 5. I’ve been driving this car for almost a year now, and I’ve been driving 18000 km. I’m very happy with the car. In some points you have to agree with the skeptics about Chinese cars. The radio reception is not always the best. The operation of the Info Intertainment is also not always easy. I rely on my dealer when purchasing spare parts, who confirms that this works without any problems. But also the standard equipment could be a bit more extensive. For example, it has no outside temperature indicator. Seat heating is only available for the driver. He doesn’t have lane hold assistants. etc. Otherwise, the equipment in my opinion is enough. However, something bothers me, is the time. Has anyone ever noticed that the clock is always going on for a few minutes after a certain time. To place the clock, you have to do a restart in the infotainment every time. (or know how to place the clock without the restart.) Otherwise I’m satisfied with the car as I said.

  • Water pump & spare parts in general

    A warm hello from the Lower Rhine, I have been driving a Brilliance BS4 1.6 for a few months … and must say that I am really very satisfied … for me the price-performance ratio is consistent … comfort and driving behaviour completely ok … what does the heart want more … But now I’m looking for a suitable, cheap water pump … and almost despair … I just can’t find anything suitable … a model for over 220 euros, which I think is completely overpriced’ … also I need a suitable aperture for 2 DIN car radio … Who can help me … or where do you buy your spare parts for the BS4 ? I would be happy about many tips … many thanks in advance ! LG Michael

  • XPeng G6 – Defects after delivery

    Hello, now that I have been driving my XPeng G6 performance for exactly 1 week and 500 km still very satisfied, I have found some defects that are not necessarily noticeable during a vehicle transfer: 1. hanging doors on both sides, when opening the doors “fall down by 1-1.5 cm, and when closing they are back up again “pressed” – photos attached – 2. capacity loss drive battery of 2-3% in 24 hours of service life (so-called “Vampir effect”), with corresponding range loss “over night”, without any consumer being connected to the vehicle on my part. 3. loud surging operating noise from the front area when/after activation, as well as during the entire operating time of the stand/remote air conditioning. (similar to grinding pump or Ritzel). Can someone also detect this with other G6 / Performance? In driving mode, the air conditioning system is completely noiseless. 4. Error message in the vehicle is displayed at the start of the charging process “Error at the charging connection”, i.e. the charging process is still resumed. If the battery level is reached 98%, the charging column suddenly stops?

  • JAC E30X – test drive, vehicle information

    We were interested in the Ford Puma GEN-E. But since the price was too high for the performance and also the financing / leasing was not really interesting, we looked around in Switzerland and went to the company JAC Motors. The vehicles are imported and sold for over 5 years in Switzerland by the company Auto Kunz AG in Wohlen. Price performance is great, the vehicle costs 22’989 CHF We decided on the E30X in Lila. The vehicle should arrive at the end of April. The vehicle is currently only available in Norway and Switzerland.

  • ::: List of important (current) Chinese vehicles/manufacturers :::

    I’m trying to create a list of current Chinese vehicles that are available (or shortly) (Germany, EU, China, etc.) as well as the manufacturers behind it. That is, of vehicles/manufacturers, of which one will certainly hear and see something in the future. I will not include on older, adjusted models or prefacelift models. I also let out vehicles from joint ventures, as I only deal with Chinese products here. However, I will draw vehicles from Western/Japanese manufacturers, which are intended only for the Chinessich market. It is intended to serve that in the future one no longer generalizes the vehicles/manufacturers, but can refer to a particular model, or to certain manufacturers. Also, I will go into the manufacturers themselves, as far as possible. I will also try to create the list alphabetically, as far as possible. abe i pre-insert: – Besturn – Brilliance – BYD – Chang’an – Changfeng – Chery – Foton – Geely – Great Wall – Hong Qi (Red Flag) – JAC – Landwind – Lifan – Roewe (and MG) – Xiali (FAW) – Buick China – Volkswagen (FAW and SAIC) I thought about this thread, which will continue to be discussed in the other threads.

  • Screwdriver aid for BS4

    A hello to all BS4 drivers, my idea is simply the following: Here in this topic only people should write, who drive a Briili themselves or have screwed on it. So here really only people should write in to say something, because questions are asked enough and over time this can then become like a small manual. Would I really be happy if even a car mechanic who has to do with Brillis has a Parr tricks to reveal. search the topics and post the posts here (hopefully no one reports copyrights ) Also so things where you can easily post spare parts, excerpts from the repair manual or links, simply. But PLEASE no stupid comments or questions, everyone has already discovered something new on the car or what is trying and that helps everyone. So please don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to ask anyone a question here, but you can ask in other topics and the Answer lands here, so stay here only the tips. Would be great if it works. above

  • Workshops/service/replacement parts/guarantee/liability type class/real consumption

    I will be driving a new Brilliance BS4 sample in a few days because it is offered cheaply by a free dealer near me. Despite intensive search I could not find any answers to the following questions and therefore turn to you: 1. Who is responsible for service, spare parts supply and warranty requirements? I find no website that indicates this? 2. Is there a common vehicle that is similar to the Brilliance BS4 and whose spare parts may be used in part? 3. Where can you find a reference manual (in German or English) in which, if necessary, a mechanic of a free workshop can look up? 4. Are there legal claims against the new European headquarters in Ginsheim (Shenhua Europe GmbH)? 5. In which liability type class is the car classified? 6.Can a BS4 owner with the 1.8l petrol tell how much he consumes with the car? Unfortunately, there is no information on this at Spritmonitor.de.

  • Collecting thread Brilliance BS6/ Are they still running?

    Hello guys, here I would like to open a collection thread for Brilliance BS6 … After 4 years on the German market I would like to know who can still call one of them his property? Meanwhile some of the dealers are already flattening their feet … If you have one, then write how it is still running and what you have so far had for defects. Your impression would be great! Maybe someone even has a facelift, which was never offered in Germany a We import China? … Greetings and I look forward to receiving answers! Leon P.S.: What do you pay for the 2l petrol truck for taxes and insurance and what does it consume?

  • Why Brilliance cars are BMW Mitsubishi’s and BMW is not quite fresh.

    Hello community, I’ve been busy with china crackers in the form of Brilliance vehicles in the last days and I’ve fallen some interesting things in front of my feet, Not only that you get a 6 year old Brilliance BS6 with a little km, good equipment and TÜV for under 2000€… I liked the brilliants already at their short introduction, I even tried a BS4. Ugly they are really not. But: Birlliance cars are – at least the di e we were able to buy here- BMW’s! they were/are produced in a factory in Egypt, which is owned by the so-called Bavarian Auto Group, which produces BMWs there for the Egyptian market, because the import taxes for cars are so high. But since the plant is not fully utilized, joint ventures with Brilliance were entered into, and so in Egypt the so-called BMW plant produced the so-comforted Brilliance, which is still so today (all the brilliants appearing on the German market came from the Both in the BS6 and in the BS4 Mitsubishi engines work by the way. Why BMW has a bang: German manufacturers are increasingly complaining about the desing duplicates of their cars from the Far East, which steal them up to customers in the current markets. Thus BMW was very angry that Brilliance brought an X1 duplicate on the market, which is now contesting BMW customers, especially in Russia, the Brilliance V5. But now it comes: BMW produces it itself, in the above-mentioned Egyptian W erk! Honestly: Why build cars yourself that duplicate your own? Have you ever thought about a joint venture termination? Greeting seating.
