  • How important is the inspection?

Hello, I drive a C1 from 2009 – HSN TSN: 3001 ACO. I bought the vehicle with 54,000 km in November 2019 and now 68,000 km on it. The previous owner has carried out an inspection perfectly every 15,000 km. The new car warranty no longer exists. How important is an inspection now? I changed the interior filter myself and would now only have engine oil + oil filter changed. TÜV got the C1 new in June. Is it really necessary Is it worth it? I am very grateful for your help – thank you very much!

  • Clutch is almost dead, are there couplings better than the original ones of Citroën?

Hello, my C1 clutch comes extremely late, so felt the last centimeters! It doesn’t slide yet, so the 3 gears in and let the clutch come still exists. In a Citroën car dealership a mechanic has confirmed that the clutch is just before the end. The car is BJ 2009 and has run about 46,000 KM and still the first clutch in it. My question is now there are other manufacturers for this clutch which are higher quality, so last longer than the original ones? Citroën would cost a new clutch about 700€, in a free workshop about 630€. What would you recommend to me? 1. Let the coupling be adjusted again (if possible)? 2. Let the new clutch be installed at Citroën? 3. Let the new possibly higher-quality (if available) clutch be installed in a free workshop? 4. Just continue until the bitter end? Thank you and many greetings Ben

  • C1 Question about the coupling / exhaust…

Hello everyone, would have a few questions about the Citroen C1. On the one hand to the exhaust. After the replacement of the exhaust (completely from KAT) it happens (especially if the climate is on) that the exhaust in the area of the curvature hits between the pipe and end pot to the body. Not continuously but occasionally. What can it be about? What does it have to do with the air conditioning? On the other hand, on the subject of clutch. This probably has to be replaced. For a time the clutch was at a certain speedb After adjustment, no longer, but the first gear can now be put in worse. Accordingly, the clutch has to be replaced, right? Can it be that a defective clutch causes certain knocking noises while driving?

  • Experience with Philps LED bulbs?

Hello, my wife drives a 2014 C1 (2). I don’t even think his normal halogen headlights are that bad. But of course it should be more light in the dark season. Unfortunately, the Osram Nightbreaker LEDs have no approval for the model. The Philips, however, apparently already, if I can believe this list here:https://www.documents.philips.com/…/…5ed3d429d9942b1a9009f9550.pdf Has someone in his Citroen (or any other vehicle) already verba ut and can say something about it? Otherwise I will just test them and report on them here.

  • Rear window wink hangs down

Hello dear community, I have the problem that my rear windscreen wiper hangs down my C1. The problem arose when it snowed. I didn’t make the snow well enough because I was in stress. (I know, stupid of me…) It cracked and now it’s hanging down… The engine still works. I have absolutely no technical knowledge in the field of car, but could imagine that the windscreen wiper has jumped off that part, what it does with It can be rotated around 360° without any problems. Can you help me how I can control whether this is the case? Do I have to open the cover to the rear windscreen wiper motor or is it enough to work on the problem from the outside?

  • C1 Diesel / petrol Real consumption for motorways

Hello C1 driver, after the operating costs of these money coffins are getting higher, wants to reach for a more economical model – and the C1 is one of them. But also with me the question is in the room, should I spend 3,200 EUR more on the diesel variant? Since I want to drive 99% highway I would like to experience the real consumption of diesel and petrol version with constant 120 – 130 km/h drive. What is then cheaper for my km-performance, I can then calculate. Your help. Robert

  • Rost Question

Yesterday after a longer test drive I bought a C1 with my girlfriend. From driving he was super, the spare wheel pit was under water. But I already knew of these leaks. The trough cleaned and rusted. Unfortunately there are also 3 tiny holes which was not visible at first. I applied rust tugs once and then zinc spray. In the area of crossbars front and the crossbar there is also neat rust. I also conclude that it is too bad. I would like to preserve the rusty parts a little bit anyway. So let’s remove loose rust as far as I can with a brush. With what would you treat? Greetings Thorschden

  • Give buzzing at the gas

Hello people, so slowly I get more problems with my vehicle. When I’m gasting in the cold start I have a loud buzz for about 15min. Speak whenever I give gas, then it hums. This noise is much smaller after about 15min or almost no more to hear. Wodran can be there? It seems to me that it has something to do with the temperature. I was in the workshop a short time ago, because the exhaust lamp in the amatur board started to glow. Here it was found that the cat is probably defective. Meanwhile I drove 150km and the lamp has not yet turned on. Do the sounds have something to do with it? LG Markus
