  • Water in the trunk

Good day together, The C1 of a friend (Bj 2009) is the third car (including mine) of this type, which I know, in which it is always wet in the trunk. Newspapers, which are designed to help with drying, are after a short time (depending on the weather) through and through wet. Sometimes the water is finger-high in the spare tire compartment. With me it is not quite so bad, but something in the trunk also can not be done with me. At the seal of the trunk window are no mistakes to fin Unfortunately, you can’t see where the water comes in. As I know this state of several C1, it is obvious that there is a general problem (constructional error) that is the cause. Does anyone know this problem? Does anyone have a tip on where the water might come from? Thank you!

  • C1 1 L Gasoline laquered

Hello, I need people who also drive a C1. And I have the problem that I hear a cracker in the engine when I’m gasting under load. If I give gas when I’m idle you don’t hear anything. The cracker is still speed-dependent (frequency is increasing at higher speed). I was already in the workshop with it (an open dealer because I bought the car there) and there it was noticed that they filled in 5W 30 oil during the inspection, but according to the manual probably 15W 40 in. So a change of oil was made. However, this didn’t really change something on the clacker (does it last until the new oil is distributed?). Unfortunately, I don’t have any acquaintance who has a C1 to compare all the time. So I turn to you here. Do you know such noises? Should that be so? The mechanic in the workshop said, since this is a chain motor and no one with timing belts, just listen to it. But that seems quite Spanish to me. 7 and has now driven 72000 km. He has a Toyota engine with 3 cylinders, 50 kW and 998 cc displacement. Furthermore I have no idea of engine technology. Thanks already and best regards Jens

  • Fats VTi 72

Good day I allow myself to ask my question here as well – in the Peugeot forum I have unfortunately not received an answer yet and I would like to know how my dear tin pot is, so that I can use it optimally. I am proud owner of a new Peugeot 108 and want to maintain with him a driving style, in which I drive very low-touring and switch up very early – and accordingly the gas pedal very strongly, preferably full. Now is If the 1KR-FE in the interpretation as PSA VTi 72 is a so-called full load enrichment and if so, under what conditions? If someone could give me a sound answer to this, that would be very nice. In my vehicle documentation as well as the Internet I found nothing about it and the PSA support only points to following the switching recommendations of the on-board computer. hweiz

  • C1 Purchase advice

Hello together! I am currently thinking about purchasing a new C1 as a second car and I still have some unanswered questions. At the moment I have a 92 AX 1.4D with no safety equipment. Consumption and repair friendliness are excellent, but it is no longer a modern means of transport. I have a 5-door C1 HDi55 with safety package. I would like to do without climate and factory radio. However, an AHK is a condition! And it starts already… In the case of an internet retailer, there is an AHK for the little one, but according to Citroen, the car is not intended for this. Furthermore, I would be interested in the actual consumption and noise development as well as the quality impression. Does the car have unforgivable weaknesses? Technical shortcomings? Rust is no longer a topic at Citroen… I hope for your experiences. Greeting Dotti

  • Summary C1

Hello! After now 2000 KM driven kilometers with the C1 I want to tell here my experiences with the car. First one has to say, it is a very honest car, the steering is direct, it is fast on the gas, no annoying electronic things that spark between one and the lawn mower sound is also quite funny. Since I brought the C1 as second vehicle to my C4 I am very excited about the driving characteristics in the city! So agile and quick I can my C4 (Co upé, VTR, 109hp) do not move in the city. Alone the dropping away of the annoying ESP is worth gold! The suit up to 45 km/h is really enormous for a car with 68 hp. My abreits colleague has a VW Fox with 75 hp and it consumes about 1.5 to 2 L. more than me and in the sprint he has no chance because his part weighs almost 150Kg more and has only 7 hp more. My consumption is at 5.02L and the consumption is not calculated by on-board computer because the C1 has no at all. Consumption, if any, that I always refuel V-Power, has proven to be more than good at the C4! If we didn’t have a longer motorway ride before us 1-2 times a month, then we would confidently leave the C4 and buy a 2nd C1 (airsport) because on the highway the little one is relatively quiet (driving noises) but a little wind sensitive and on climbs at Tembo 160 you can also drive fast only 150. To make the C1 perfect I took the sports package from Citroen And in addition, a spoiler is taken. If the little one is more than good! Unfortunately, a little something bothers, the white is relatively sensitive. If you have an older VW or Mercedes Diesel in front of you and it gives a neat gas, so that a large smoke swath comes out, that remains nicely out of the paint. Greeting

  • Have collected our Citroen C1 1.4 HDI …..!

Yesterday it was finally so far and we picked up the “new” car of my girlfriend. First a few short dates, then I post a few first “rain snatch shots”……. The vehicle: Citroen C1 1.4 HDI EZ 05/2006 27,000 km – 1st hand / accident-free silver – metallic climate, CD radio, radio ZV, 4 floor mats *g*Consumption after 700km Home journey: on average: 4.6 liters / 100km at about 125km/h Average speed In the appendix I make a few “first impressions” n, unfortunately it rains only since yesterday, as soon as I have better, I post this of course……! The first impression of the car is great, if you look at the relation price/performance! Because where else I get a diesel with relatively “complete” equipment and this mileage by just 7000 Euro…… ????? I have a question but right away…! The car has now about 27000km on the clock, at 30000km the first service is due…! In the instructions it says that after 1500- 2000km is a first service due at Citroen, which is absolutely necessary for the maintenance of the warranty…!This service is missing in the service booklet and has not been carried out…. Do you think that I still have a warranty claim, especially if I have the 30000km check done at Citroen or do you think that the lack of this “entry service” has already brought about the extinction of the guarantee ??? If there is no help here, is there still on the net other good “start addresses” that could answer my problem regarding the guarantee ???? Thank you already for the help and now have fun with the pictures….! Many greetings from Passau! Johannes

  • High consumption of C1 Hdi

I have been driving the C1 hdi for 5 months now – now more than 10,000 km – and am totally disappointed by the consumption. In everyday life on short distance the car needs about 4.9 liters, if it gets colder, also already 5.3 liters diesel. A holiday trip to Hossegor/France resulted in a consumption of 4.9 liters at motorway speed (Tacho 130). Once I deliberately drove 200 km slowly. That was on the highway in warm weather and I stayed at Tacho 120 km/h. In Hossegor I once practiced in restraint. So I managed to get on the highway at 30 degrees and strolling around at 90 – 100 km/h 3.95 liters. After the EU consumption values I had promised myself less. Since I keep all known savings tips, I hoped for a consumption of 3.7 liters. Unfortunately I did not even reach this nearly. Who still has experiences? Write! It is striking that my C1 is remarkably inelastic. In the 4th gear you should be able to reach 4.5 liters of diesel per 100 km. do not drive under 60, in 5th gear not under approx. 90 km/h, otherwise it feels extremely undertouring and runs quite unevenly.
