  • Oil consumption 1,2 Puretech Vti / overhaul

Moin Together, I try to keep it short and short. I don’t actually come from the Citroen area, but I have a C3 BJ. 2013 in care which is now causing trouble. So: Hello to the Citroen Forum! The car has the oh so wonderful and above all long-lasting 1.2 liter 3 cylinder with 82hp, which has not yet 100tkm on the clock and is probably close to the engine damage. It consumes for 2 to 3 years heaps of oil (estimate already 1-2 liters on 1000km, but have never really determined it. t) and the other day I noticed that the candle picture was correct, so it was already well encrusted. The car sounded strangely hollow, which is probably due to the fact that the cat is scrap or loose, according to the workshop this is also due to the oil burning. But engine runs so far and has even compression. Now my question: Where does the oil consumption actually come from? Would it be done with a revision of the head? I am learning a car and would probably trust me to get it out of there, but did not have the possibilities d The whole engine could then be removed and dismantled. The head could then be overtaken by the engine builder and put on it again. Or does the whole thing go rather towards piston rings? Maybe someone knows here the engines and the cause of the problem. Please clear me up, I am curious! Otherwise a nice evening and thank you for your help!

  • A few questions about the C3

Hello! Get a C3 in a few days. Hopefully not a bad decision. (truck before Renault, Toyota, Suzuki) Was it with me currently 1st at the price (promotion month) and around the appearance. Quality is certainly the same as with all, because which manufacturer does not build the identical parts of suppliers today. Question 1: Should you change the oil after 1500KM after all? I have heard so often that the oil and the engines are so good. But 30,000 until the 1st inspection is long Because I’m sure that the two years will be more likely. And in the forum I also found a post that told me that the filter would have quite an inlet residue. Which oil does the C3 full synthetic or partial synthetic drive.? Question 2: I would like to buy a car radio at Plus. Simple and inexpensive. Are there any problems. Las in the forum “register radio etc.”, the box is equipped with tens of ECUs. Or it has to be Blaupunkt, Pioneer etc.. Also the Fra ge, are the cables for the speakers pre-loaded, or do I have to lay them even more laboriously afterwards? Do you actually know that cables and sometimes even loudspeakers are available, even if the car is ordered without a radio. Question 3: The on-board computer, how exactly is it with the maintenance. And how do you reset the maintenance key? Do you need a reset device like BWM or can it be done without?

  • Expanding injectors

I’m new here and first of all a warm “hello” to all Citroen drivers. As the title already suggests, it has caught me now, diesel smell in the interior of my 2005 C2 1.4 HDi. The workshop thinks that all injectors have to be changed. 2 injectors are coked and 2 are leaky. Price for this is at least 1500 euros with used injectors. Since I have time now, I would like to do this myself. And if it doesn’t work, I can still drag the car to the workshop. I have now read some things and instructions about it and I can understand everything. Have various tools at home. Rotation mo, ratchet etc. However, the following questions have arisen for me: 1. I have read that injectors can leak from the inside or from the outside. What does this mean? Can you fix both? 2. There are ceramic pastes for injectors. Is it helpful when installing the injecto? 3. Some write that you should let the engine run warm before you expand the injectors, some will definitely let me cool down. What’s better? Would I be very happy about answers, greeting you well?

  • C3: Infinite history engine goes out

Hello, I have been driving a C3 with 60hp for almost 5 years. Originally my dream car, but in the meantime I would like to plug the car into the scrap press. Since I have it, the engine goes off again and again, sometimes the motor lamp lights up, sometimes only the battery indicator. Mostly when driving slowly, if I turn towards a crossroad or to a red traffic light, while switching down. But once it also occurred at 130 on the highway. During the warranty period I was therefore more After the warranty had expired, the car was several times in a free workshop, today for the last time, since the car ran out the day before yesterday on 2-3 kilometers short distance 5x!. Just came the call from the workshop, that nothing was found and one is at the end with the Latin. If it only runs out once, I ignore that now, but 5x in a row? I am surprised by the fact that no one has hit me at the back, as often as the pa There is no Citroenwerkstatt here in the village, I have had bad experiences with the nearest one. (Unfriendly, car got dirty back.) So the “next” workshop would be a long way away and I don’t want to go there again if it just means nothing again. And in the workshop, of course, the car never makes problems. Does anyone have an idea what the cause might be? V iele Greetings Manuela

  • Citroen C3 1.6 HDI, EZ 12/2006 Electrical problem

Hello, have got a funny problem, who can please help? Have the car for almost 5 years, occasionally was shown in the display that the battery of the remote control is weak, new battery in the radio key has had no effect, the error was further shown all 3-4 Wichen. About 3 months ago the key remote control did not work properly several times when operating, then no more, at the same time the error message was no longer displayed. nn the doors manually open and make, respectively start the engine and otherwise drive normally, but the FB no longer works. My question: Can it be that this C3 has a separate battery somewhere (e.g. in the FB control unit)? The error memory shows no error. Thanks for your suggestions.

  • Clutch problems C2 (VTS) Clutch slips through at 33tsd kilometers!HELP!!

The following problem: For 5 days now I’ve been spraying my C2 as if I had an automatic transmission in it. With load (from half a gas foot) and some uphill or highway, the threshing meter turns up, but the speed does not change ;-( But it didn’t………. so, it feels as if there is a minimal latch on the clutch and takes away the power, but the engine happily keeps turning. The master of my Citroen operation had the car for testing and diagnosed a clutch damage. Now it looks like it seems to be unfortunately outside the warranty period..and the clutch covering would be a cover part. Citroen will check the removed parts….and at the Citroen customer hotline no clutch error was known. Now I have rummaged a bit in other forums and there are apparently more cases of defective couplings at the C2/VTS. For my proof it would be important that the affected Citroen C2 driver report to me…especially C2 V TS driver. The defect occurs between 25tsd and 35 tsd kilometers. I am primarily interested in the driving number of your vehicles, then the mileage with which the defect occurred and how Citroen behaved. PLEASE PLEASE help me! gladly by data exchange via PN! But I think it also interests the one or the other here!!! Gruss Marco

  • Remote control with key Citroen C3 defective

Hello, my problem: the housing of the remote control is defective and the key no longer works properly. When I go to Citroen, I get a new FB (case and electronics), the key has to be re-fed and the whole thing still programmed. Price: outrageous! my solution: new housing (57 mm) with unfed key purchase at Ebay, old electronics clipping (transponder is on board) and mech. The mechanical key is clipped with a pen. Is it easy to get out and to use the new case? Thanks for a professional answer.
