  • What number must be checked when replacing the gear control unit with the C3?

We found out from our free workshop that the transmission control unit is defective. Something has burned through it. I was advised to look for a used control unit in order to keep the repair costs within the frame. However, a whole series of numbers are printed on the photo of the defective control unit (see appendix). It is unclear to me according to which number series it is possible whether the replacement fits. Printed are S118475202 E SW96594996 80 HW9640922780 To the last “HW number” you will find used ECUs, but the other numbers do not fit or not quite fit. To the “S118475202 E” I have found a device with almost identical number (at the end a 1 instead of the 2) but with other letters at the end. For me everything is extremely confusing. Maybe one of you knows which number is decisive and how exactly these must match. I am grateful for every tip. Is the car my cousin, money for a There’s no new car purchase available…

  • New C3 in 2023 (for Europe)

The current C3 has only been on the market since 2017. However, it is still going on internally for the longest time… With the google-translator one gets roughly with what is therefore matter: In India already 2021 a version With us/Europe 2023. And apparently speaked in technology ggü the 208, or in particular the e-version. BEV entry to make more cost-effective. And overall for Citroen in the group positioning the following, quote: The new C3 marks a new era at Citroën, since Carlos Tavares, the C hef from PSA, which the manufacturer wants to reposition at the entry level, a kind of Dacia in PSA sauce

  • Citroen C3 no longer starts

Hello all, I picked up a C3 – 1.4 ltr. – year 03, drove 100 km, started 5-6 times, everything perfect. Yesterday I set off the C3, tried to start it again later, the starter turns perfectly, but the engine does not start. I thought of the immobilizer, locked it up with the remote control and after a few minutes again, tried again, without success. The securing of the petrol pump is still tested, is ok.. I still believe in the Wegfa hrlock, since the starter rotates nicely evenly, but the engine does not make any effort to jump. Would it make sense to disconnect the battery for a few minutes or does someone have another tip for me? Thanks for every answer and greeting

  • Pluriel rear door opener: Where are the fuses???

Hello, After my pluriel (BJ2003 petrol) doesn’t open the rear door anymore, I disconnected the modules in the rear door to directly control the elktromechanical openers. This also worked, but unfortunately it came to a short circuit in the 12V leading supply line, so that a fuse must have flown, also the radio is no longer working, otherwise everything seems to be still OK. I then put on the inner and “outer” fuse box. After the backup boards are extremely poorly accessible, I gave up after about 80% and I hope that here in the forum knows where to find the right fuses, (size and strength would be helpful) There is nothing useful in the guide (both French and German versions).

  • Errors in the cleaning of exhaust gases

Drive a C3 Aircross Diesel 1.6Blue Hdi; 120 hp. At 78000km mileage, the AdBlue warning light went on the highway and gave the above mentioned warning. At the next petrol station immediately stock Adblue checked and refilled 10 liters. When the bonnet was opened a very strong amoniacal odor was removable., also the catalyst side in the area of the AdBlue injection nozzle was covered with white covering, Here is probably a leak, which leads to false exhaust gas values. A total of 3 Citroen workshops in order to have the fault memory read out and to set a probably necessary repair date. At all workshops a short-term readout of the fault memory is not possible, earliest repair date middle to end of May. Injection nozzle AdBlue currently not available. Could order an injection nozzle via Internet ( at the price between 80 and 120 € ) and have it installed in a workshop of my confidence, which is only useful, however, who the AdBlue pump is not the cause of the leak on the injection valve due to too high pressure (pressure limitation valve). My question, someone has already had the same problem of you here, and how has it been solved.
