  • Leather Claudia in C4 Picasso

    Tach together, optically I like the interior of the Tendance. However, since I don’t want to do without Xenon and Hifi package, then it has to be the exclusive equipment.   • Question to the “connoisseurs” of the Citroen brand

    I like the Citroen C4 Coupe very much… but have no experience with the brand. Is Citroen the better Frenchman compared to Peugeot and Renault? Just like in this country VW vs. Audi? Or BMW? I know a bit more funny comparison, but the brand can’t rank at all 🙂

  • C4 & C5 with squeezing brakes

    Hello people At my C4 Coupé (2006, 22,000 km) and at the C5 of my parents (2006, 28,000 km) squeaking brakes are annoying. I was with my already 2 times in the factory town, there was once something changed, which I was also allowed to pay (+100 €), the second time they were cleaned or dedusted – but that only helped for a short time. The squeaking (both) always occurs when the car is driving very slowly, under 10 km/h, so when braking shortly before stopping. , because for me that sounds like an old truck with 500,000 km and not 2 quite new cars. If someone had a tip on what we can do – in my case it is best before the end of January, because the manufacturer warranty expires (but I will have it extended!)   • C4 HDI 110 FAP: Tax ruling for missing particulate filter

    Hello you, unfortunately I received today a tax notice from the tax office, which informs me that because of the missing Russian particulate filter of my C4 I should pay now 1,20 EUR per 100 ccm more car tax. But only I have an HDI 110 FAP, which is equipped with it as standard. Who has now been sleeping there? Did Citroen not report there in time to the KBA? The communication speaks of a change of office. Now I have the work here. What is the best procedure? I’m really upset… what do you think?

  • C4 brake discs rubbing heavily during braking

    Hello guys, your specialists or those who have been tested, get on the keyboard!! On the C4 Coupe VTS, 1.6L HDI 110 FAP, year of July 2006 the front Bremdisks are rubbing again. Before 3000 km new ones were installed. That means the C4 has only run as Km 16.550. At 13,500 the discs were replaced for the first time. In my long car life, I had never had such a thing. Had driven mainly large Citroen. Also other big cars, no problems. Neither made full braking at the C4 nor had any problems. To date, you have to slow down strongly from high speed. (run always on a wide distance and foresight, so as not to be forced to suddenly brake or emergency braking.) Not driven in the rain, never come into a water pool with hot brakes. I have always handled the brakes in such a way. The brake discs have neither bars nor are polished like high gloss. You can’t brake more than just carefully and that would have to endure brakes in any case. someone’s insights, experiences, where that comes from and what you could do to avoid it in the future? Are original Citroen brake discs. So if someone has an idea, if only on the edge, please report. Will Citroen be kulant?

  • C4 1.6 HDI: Exhaust gas system defective after FAP change

    Hello! Need your advice again: My C4 already had the error message “gas system defective” before the 120Tkm inspection. One of the masters from Dortmund said that the filter and possibly a pressure sensor had to be changed. He sounded quite safe and actually also competent. Well, the car is now a few days back from the inspection. A new filter was installed and also pressure lines changed. The message did not come first. This morning after approx. 5 minutes drive then the well-known experience: Pieppppppp=> Exhaust gas system defective. I don’t think it’s really funny anymore. Since the car was driven about 800km from the inspection I would have guessed that there is a connection between regeneration and message??? Is it then perhaps even so that the filter does not regenerate and thus increases? Who knows more about it? How can one limit the cause otherwise? The guys from Citroen in Do will probably not have a final answer again. And parts we I don’t want to be cuddled, though I don’t want to be unnecessary either. Would be great if you could help.     Friends, my wife would like to buy a used C4 1.6 HDI (5 doors). First registration: 2006/01 The car seems to be in good condition, however, it already has 79,000 km on the clock. According to my feeling this is a little bit much for a build-up car purchase in the small car segment, or am I mistaken? Which km do I have to expect with larger repairs or wear and tear symptoms?
