  • Buy C5 X PureTech 130 or not?

    Moin together, we are looking for a successor for our now 11-year-old Hyundai i40 and have come across a C5 X PureTech 130 Feel Pack. Since I have been driving Citroen only a short time ago, I don’t really have any experience with the vehicles. Why we have the C5 X in mind: – PRICE! Currently we have a few months old day registration for under 26k in view – Large trunk, plenty of space (2 small children available ) – Good equipment (probably more than we need ) – Visually we like it – Combi-like design we find better than e.g. SUV Since we have also been clear for a long time with a little splashy 1.6l 136PS suction cup with the Hyundai i40, the 130hp Turbo petrol in the C5 X will hopefully at least not represent a backward step and enough for us. We also bought the i40 as a daily registration and have driven it for quite a long time (130k kilometers) and had mostly rest (except for of course we hope for something like this from the C5 X too. I would like to hear some opinions about whether this would be a sensible decision and what it looks like in terms of reliability and so on. I am grateful for every tip!

    I’m new here. Since 2005 we drive among others citroen. Various Xantia and c5 models.Since November 2023 we have increased for age reasons and lack of new spare parts for the c5 ll a c5 Aircross Shine Pack gasoline 1.2 and 130 HP with daily registration from January 2023. Meanwhile we have the latest update for the Navi and early October the system update. Unfortunately the traffic sign display Plus shows the additional signs no more. I can’t say for sure. Citroen hasn’t registered yet and the friendly dealer wants to be called again in three weeks. Does anyone have an idea in the forum? Thanks in advance.

  • Engine goes off suddenly during the ride

    Hello everyone. Maybe one can help me. I have a C5 I 3.0 liter. Now the Kat’s were broken and have been replaced with Lambda probes. The car also ran wonderful. Now it happens that the car runs out during the ride simply and without any indication in the dashboard. But the engine can start immediately again and runs also quite normally until it runs out after maybe two kilometers. Can this lie on the ignition coils? I have a Mechanics said that they have to be changed at my time. Would be great if I could get an opinion or a tip from you.

  • C5 but which engine/equipment?

    I’m interested in a C5 Tourer. The track profile is mostly BAB to 90 % so 100 km a day. So exactly the right thing for a diesel. Unfortunately I don’t know at all. Do I currently drive 4cylinder diesel, but would not have anything against a little more force in the form of engine capacity PS and maybe a 6 changer? Is there any? What I’ve read so far was that the C5 with the HP has a unique selling point. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a 6 Z model, I would be happy to have just more torque. He doesn’t have to be new either, a daily registration would be nice.   • C5 Aircross – Tank indicator is wrong?

    Servus, I seem to have “overfueled” the tank last week (price was cheap) and provoked the click a few times. As a result, the Aircross did not recognize the tank load. Since then I have driven almost 100km and today I have done again until the first click on the column full. Was something between 5-6 liters. Tank indicator still means to lie wrong but sinks nicely with every kilometer. What to do? Is there a way to reset the tank filling status? Do I have to use the tank drive half empty and then fill up? Or could something have the lid off here? Never had in my 20 years driving a car. Except for my Passat 35i with tender 18 years, but there the tank needle was generally defective ^^

  • Car’s running out of gas.

    Hello, I’m desperate. Yesterday I got my car out of the workshop. No mistake could be found. The car is a Citroen C5 HDI 2.2 with 133 hp. In the workshop I was told that the car would drive only 140 km and they could not find the reason. They hung on it for 8 hours at a time. Today I drove by car, just before the traffic lights went on again the service went on and the ABS fell off. Then had to stop at the traffic light at Red. I tried to start it again 4 times, but again and again the same thing. As soon as I turned from P to D and gave off gas, he went out immediately again. After 15 minutes with warning flashing light at the intersection, he let himself start again and also drove. The service lamp is still on, but the warning for ASB failure is off. I have to say that I am severely disabled and driving hand gas on the left hand A side for which I have a special permit from Marburg. Until now: turbocharger, AGR valve, air mass meter and cat. The circus started so properly as the return hose to the left of the shock absorber crack. Since then the car has been in the workshop 5 times. At first it still drove and it just went on the service lamp and the ABS fell off. Then the car went into the emergency run. When I turned off the car and the lamp for ABS failure was off, the car also pulled out again. Everything gets worse and worse. I can’t afford a new car. Only installing hand gas costs 5,900 euros plus additional costs and I don’t have a car yet. Who knows advice or has ever heard of something like this? I’m receptive to any advice.

    Hi! Drive the c5 aircross from Citroën. Unfortunately, I can’t set the DAB function for the radio. My question: Does this function need to be updated or does my vehicle not support DAB? My car is built 07/2019 Please for help! Thank you in advance.

  • Exhaust gas system defective, engine shuts down at 2000 tours

    Hello, driving since 2012 a C5, Break 2,2 l HDI Bi Turbo built in 2007. Now 163000 km ran at purchase 72000 km. Problem: Onboard computer shows fault, exhaust system, engine control light and service light. Start car, engine lock immediately at 2000 tours, at stand gas 3000 tours. Let’s say at 10 starts the problem occurs easily 5 times. From and on the problem usually does not fix. Air mass sensor and valve are cleaned. Diagnostics are deleted. AGR V Entil is just new and he didn’t show any more errors, but one day later he did. Have read a lot of articles here because of exhaust system broken, but nobody had the problem that shuts down the engine. I know that problem can have quite a lot of causes, but I don’t like Citroen to put the money in the A…. Does anyone know the problem and can give me tips to narrow down or fix the cause?
