  • C5 aircross blue hdi 180 problems exhaust gas cleaning

Hello Ride nen blue hdi 180 since April 19. Until the beginning of 2020 no problems at all. Since the end of January I get at regular intervals about 1000 kilometers the information (motor error exhaust gas cleaning defective, vehicle no longer starts in 1000 km.) now it is for the fourth time in the workshop and it should probably be the add blue pump again. Then now for the fourth time ne new would be installed!!!! The workshop (with which I am otherwise very satisfied) says they are in close contact with citroën and there you know the problem. Citroen in turn probably puts pressure on the supplier of the pump. Does anyone else have this problem? Would not like to withdraw from the purchase contract because I am (except for this problem) satisfied and I find the aircross completely successful. Thank you for your answers

  • Cooling water loss

Hello friends, my question is about my Citröen C5 III, 2,0 HDI Kombi Bj 2013 with only 66 tkm. The car has now lost 3 months (or longer, I only discovered it 3 months ago) cooler water. All 200 km almost 1 liter. There are no drops to be seen under the car or on the pipes. Presses show no pressure loss. I tried with CO2 leak tester, but probably because of cool weather the water does not get hot and does not circulate and therefore also no Exhaust gas in the water. Temperature indicator rises normally to the operating temperature and stays there normally. No water in the oil. No lubrication in the exhaust. One mechanic says ZKD deffekt, the other says that with a defective ZKD I could not have driven for 3 months without problems and certainly not the trip from Spain to Germany with partly 180 kmh on the highway. Start without problems. No power losses. No water in the inside of the car (defected or leak of heating). ie abnormality is dark discoloration of the balance tank (not by the cooling water of now but by the cooling water of 3 months ago when I noticed it). so I am totally desperate and irritated. Does anyone have an idea or have the same problem?

  • C5 Aircross issue with updates

Good evening! Last week we finally picked up our C5 AC (Benzin, Shine, White Pearlwood). A great car! very comfortable, quiet, equipment Top, 8AT Top. We are very satisfied. unfortunately we now have a problem with the update. Got notification from My Citroen Handy APP that there is update for vehicle data (version 31.09.46.62_NAC-r0-04.07.19, the current version is 31.08.05.86_NAC-r0). I then installed the application Citroen Update in the laptop (Windows 10) and the update files downloaded and pushed into a USB stick like the manual. But shows in the car “version not compatible with hardware”, then tried with 5 different USB stick, all are FAT32 format. always does not work. Did the files also download from Email Link and spit into USB, does not work either. On the Internet I have seen many similar problem…. What can I do? Should I drive to workshop? another question for Navi card, the version the map is from 29.04.2018, there is no update for map material. Is normal? do you also have the map from 29.04.2018? many thanks in advance.

  • Rinse automatic transmission or not?

For more than 10 years now and about 160 000 km I drive my C5-III HDI 165 with automatic transmission – and this is still to the fullest satisfaction! During the last maintenance/inspection – as well as the last one – “the friendly” suggested to me to have my transmission rinsed – and to change the oil. However, according to my knowledge these transmissions are maintenance-free and “life-time lubricated” – and probably also a closed system. I don’t have any abnormalities in my machine. I mean, it’s all shut down and it switches like on the first day. Now the question is: Should you attack such a functioning system? And by the way: what does the fun cost?

  • Is there any child disease or problems with C5 Aircross ?

Good morning! after numerous repairs of my C class I am looking for a new car. Yesterday I drove with the C5 Aircross sample, am very satisfied. Very comfortable, EAT8 plus 181ps engine are super. really quiet on the highway, good price performance…. only the image quality of parking camera is very bad. Before buying I want to ask if there are known childhood diseases or problems with C5 Aircross? have seen many positive reviews of C5 Aircross, hope that is really good and good quality. I have disappointed the Mercedes terribly. Thank you in advance!

  • Citroen C5 Kaufberatung – used by BJ 2010

Ahoy I am superior to my current car because of quite high driving performance and now really more frequent, more expensive repertures and to buy a slightly younger car. So far I have always been on the road with a station wagon and I am in this category of vehicle. The C5 would be even bigger – I find it good. I want to spend a maximum of 10,000€, better buy less and a maximum of 90,000km of mileage. Here’s my first question: Is this meaningful? For 10,000€ you get partly already Very simple new car. Does a C5 with 90,000km already have the following high replacement costs on average? Are there children’s diseases and typical sliding problems that occur around 80 – 120k km of running power? What about the workshop costs of a C5? Are they passable or rather high? I found a model here that I like quite well. But does not seem to be a normal C5. “Citroën C5 Tourer By Carlsson” – seems to be a version changed by Carlsson So, serial tuning. Does anyone have any experience with it? Are those in the workshop much more expensive than a normal C5? 6-speed switch or automatic? I like to drive automatics on my own – find it more relaxed. Does the automatics react well? Is that vulnerable? When should you treat the maintenance-free automatics to maintenance? And what does it cost? It’s about the 165 hdi version. Less performance I don’t like Would I be happy about a few answers The decision is really not easy.

  • No power/shrinking/charging pressure

Hello dear Motor-Talk members Have a Citroën C5 2.0 diesel from 2006 with which I am currently allowed and will deal. Currently several errors are in the hope of encountering a solution here And indeed: Today was during the main examination and this unfortunately due to an increased opacity value during the exhaust gas examination as well as error memory entries see picture, did not pass. Presumably a full DPF is the basis because I noticed at the subsequent clear lifting the the pipe from the differential pressure sensor, which is attached to DPF, has been shut down or removed and therefore no own regeneration has taken place. So now to my main problem. During the exhaust gas examination, I noticed that there was a hissing / squeezing when the engine turned up which became louder with each new turning up. On the next drive home I also noticed the hissing with load increase and became louder and louder. After a short time I had to The car felt no more charge pressure. (motor control light off). With further driving and constant throttle position, one noticed that the car had been jerking like a, like the throttle flap open and go or the turbocharger run and rotate directly afterwards at idle speed. Is anyone aware of this problem and can help me further or is there definitely a mechanical damage to the turbocharger? could not look into the turbo due to the heat of engine and components. I would be grateful for any help.

  • C 5 tourer gasoline THP 155 or 2.0 16 V

Hello, we are on the search for a successor for our Focus tournament. The favourite is currently the C5 tourer/Benzier. Should I rather look for the 2.0 16 V (although a mature engine) or for the THP 155? Who knows both engines and has had corresponding experiences? Also gladly other recommendations (e.g. equipment line etc by the way: Alternatively a Ford Mondeo tournament would be in question.
