  • Electronic zigzags at C5-X and Aircross

Moin loves Citroen drivers, because my new C5 X already shows the first software features, we might collect problems and solutions here. Since the new Aircross will have the same software as much as possible, we can also address this here. I have noticed three things so far. 1. The MY Citroen app has a strange connection behavior. Sometimes the part connects with the car and I can read out pre-tempering and battery level etc. Sometimes it goes again nic I already know about the Opel app at my wife’s eMokka. It didn’t surprise me very much. 2. The online update and traffic jam warning of the navigation system doesn’t seem to be working properly. When I’m on the road, TomTom shows that there’s no online connection right now (although the mobile phone is connected). I can navigate – but the live data doesn’t come in. I learned from the app that my “Connected Navigation Pack” Plus” is still in the status “Activation is running”. I started a request to Citreon via the app, which can be the reason. 3. Today the screen of the return camera is frozen when driving backwards. No more things could be selected in the large central display, the displayed page could not be switched off. Car off and on did not help. In the DS forum I read that it has already occurred – and the solution probably consists of: to park the car and to start again after a few hours. It worked that way with me. If you still notice things: Just bring them here. Greetings in the round

  • Window lifter broken, door panel disassembled.

Hello together, yesterday morning on the driver side of the window lifter said goodbye. It just gnawed for a short time and something fell down in the door. Fortunately the disc remained up. Reperaturset and new clips arrive the days. Who has removed the panel of the door before and can give me relevant clues where screws hide, how to get to these without damage and what else there are for obstacles. greeting Sascha

  • Purchase advice comfortable family carriage

Hello. I’m thinking about buying a comfortable, large family combi for the daily 2x45km to work as well as extensive holiday trips. (total about 30tkm/year) Budget would be 1000€ – preferably more 5000 direct and the rest as reserve for repairs. It is absolutely never driven sporty and should be so quiet, comfortable and optical/haptic pleasant. After a short research the C5 Tourer as diesel seems to be the optimal vehicle for this. The engine should v I think one of the 2.0s would be a good compromise. According to the fuel monitor, similar consumption values should be achieved, as with the 1.6s. I still have a few questions: Do I recognize the hydropneumatic damping in ads probably at the control unit behind the switch lever or? Are there any indications, what one can recognize, whether a massage seat is installed? Was there actually only for the driver or also for passengers? Is there otherwise still too Considerable comfort details (special equipment), which I don’t know yet, but which make driving even more pleasant? Is always the same kind of Klimatronic installed? Is Xenon/Led in the C5 very good or no big gain compared to the normal light? If an interesting car shows up, then it is the optimal procedure to book an appointment at the next Citroen workshop for a thorough check-up at the same time at the test drive date or you can also book the special problem zones yourself. call and have the rest done at the Dekra – used car check o.Ä.? Many thanks and greetings Tunfaire

  • Purchase decision C5 III Automatic

Tach together, with me there is a change of vehicle. Drive the Laguna II Grandtour at the moment, something like that should become it again, budget approx 8.ooo €. I had the Mondeo MK4 in my sights, but somehow I miss that certain extra. With the Peugeot 508 it is similar. Since I place more value on comfort than on sportiness seems to fit me the C5 II much better than its competitors. Citroen however is new territory for me. As much as I have read, even the normal suspension (steel spring) My idea is to buy a C5 Tourer after the 2010 model maintenance, Motor Diesel 2.0 with 120kw, automatic. Are there weak points that you have to pay particular attention to? Which type of gear is installed, converters? Braking teeth every 10 years or 200,000km? Thanks already for the tips and help.

  • C5 Tourer New Car: Questions

Hello, I am thinking of ordering a C5 Tourer with circuit, 165hp and diesel as a new car. After the test drive I was very pleased about it. I would probably take the Tendance equipment and not Exclusive. The reason is that I had seats with fabric cover, at Exclusive I would have to take partial leather. I don’t like leather in the car, and I didn’t like the leather equipment of the test car either. Some questions have emerged: – Should I have to go somewhere clear Abstr Is there any special equipment that should be taken? The technology package or the Xenon headlights? – How good do radio and CD players sound in the standard version? – The new cross-tourer can be set four or six centimeters higher by hydropneumatics. Can this be done with the other models too? Thanks for the answers Johanna

  • Rear-view lights quite dark

I have been driving a C5 Tourer since April 2014, I am mostly satisfied, but I get annoyed about a little bit: the rear lights are so weak that the reverse driving, especially if you don’t turn around, but use the mirrors, comes close to a blind flight. You can hardly see anything. Is there the (legal) possibility to change the illuminants here and use stronger ones? I don’t need the tip, I should just turn around: First of all, it doesn’t get brighter, i.e. otens I just feel safer over the mirrors. I also know that the lights should officially only show the reverse driving to others, with other cars (e.g. Audi A4 8k) I could still see and navigate clearly better. Please use the thread to help me with lighting technology and make no reverse driving philosophy thread out of it. 😉

  • Kaufberatung C5 II 2.0 HDI 135 Break Exclusive ’06 – small error, easy to fix?

Hello, I have been sporadically looking for a successor car for a long time, since my current 2002 Volvo C70 2.4 Turbo Coupé will soon be the time-segment (270tkm, LPG system defective and soon again some repairs due which are well above the time-value of the vehicle, have also repaired it for 8 years and already …), The Volvo has a great five-cylinder 200hp softturbo engine and is in total extremely robust processed, but I have in the 8 years long I always missed the good suspension comfort of my previous Citroens (since 1987 I had been driving from Citroen 3x 2CV, 1x GSA, 3x BX, 3x CX Break TD, and my last car was a 2000 Xantia HDI Millesime Limo which I drove from 2002-2007 – I should never have sold, but I wanted more PS! ). I drive a lot (quasi only long distance, up to 40tkm), but also did not want to spend so much, and wants more variable usable space than in the coupé.Ergo: C5 I – but nu r as >2l diesel, or with V6 on LPG, so that the descent of tight turbo five cylinders is not so difficult – my minimum is approx. 270Nm… I have looked at many C5 I pre-facelift since last summer and tested (2x V6 with LPG, some 2.2 HDI), all had big flaws up to total electronic failure, then I have rather distanced from cheaper C5.___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ driving:2006er C5 Facelift Break Exclusive 2.0 HDI 135 FAP 6-speed manually in black, just under 150tkm, first owner, SH, quite good equipment with Navi – AFIL – ESP – Xenon – pensioner radar v&h – AHK removable and electr seats, looks clean, it works (almost…) everything as it should. Hydropneumatics springs soft (though not as nice as in my various previous CX series I & II…), exhaust quite new, brake pads ok, quite new Navi CDs are included. Inspection is however due, Summer tyres are due, I think with it soon the timing belts for age reasons (10 years?). Reduced price: €5500.- with new TÜV, new inspection, new timing belt and brand new summer tyres on org. Citroen-Exclusive 16″ aluminium as well as very good WR on 16″ steel, possibly guarantee (with these policies in the mileage anyway not really bring something…). Outpriced it was exactly to the ADAC/Schwackewert. -> Still too expensive, or in the frame? I noticed the following problems: – The Break window does not open: Is this to be repaired, or rather an electrical or mechanical problem? I haven’t found a C5 break yet, in which the part opened… (is to open with pressure on the switch at the back of the wiper, right? Maybe it’s also up to me, too stupid to operate it… ) – The dampers of the tailgate do not hold the heavy part, it works immediately down, dampers must therefore be replaced. -> Are these larger construction sites? ind somehow built into the roof, can you change the self (there is some aperture in front of it)? With the Xantia it went still jerk-zuck in own direction… ________________________________ General questions: – The brake seemed very “conventional” to me compared to the Xantia – hardly any difference to the Volvo, you have to latch something in with it as well. The braking performance is very good in itself, only pedal feeling is very Citroen-unlike… -> Has the C5 no longer a hydrobrake (“with foot toe tipped) -> Is the C5 I Facelift still susceptible to rear X-legs / longitudinal handlebar bearing damage on the rear axle (e.g. with BX, CX, Xsara, Xantia, where long-term lubricating nipples can be installed in the axle support at the level of the needle bearings)? -> How long does the coupling last with the 2.0 HDI (the Volvo is still the first one after 270tkm, as it has been designed up to 250hp, the Xantia HDI 109 was after only 100tkm a … and had to be changed for expensive money…)? -> Which C5 flaws should I pay attention to before I decide to buy? -> FAP or 2.0 HDI 16V 135 Engine in general: Is there something to consider? Thanks already in advance for tips & opinions! Greetings, Oli

  • C5 HDI 200 or 165?

Hello, I want to be hydropneumatic again. But after the DS23 had my Citroen more. (Mercedes A, C and E class) Now I can get a company car and had played with the 200s mentally. Is that a good engine or is the 165s just as good. That is also cheaper. I have 50km to tax with 0.03%. I could also take a 165ger if it is not a lame duck. What do you mean? Greeting madmax

  • USB hub for Android car and USB stick

Hello, who of you has already plugged in a USB hub ( 2 compartments) at the front USB socket and checked whether you can operate Android car and a USB stick at the same time? If someone has tested this successfully, it would be great if you could also post a link or a name from your USB hub here.
