  • Opinions on Ducati 796

Hello, I’m a motorcycle newcomer who just made his motorcycle driving license and therefore have no experience with motorcycles. But when I first landed on the Ducati Internet site, I immediately got into the Monster series and thought: “My face, what a cool ride!” ^^ The 796 would most appeal to me but the 696 would certainly not be a worse choice for a beginner, the 796 has just 7 HP and 100 K ubik mehr.(87 PS) Would you trust a newcomer to such a motorcycle? I have already read in various comparison tests that there are many bikes in this price range and among them are better (but also more boring) and the design is also important for me. I have already rattled off all the websites of well-known manufacturers. The street trip of Triumph may be a super bike but sorry, I find the one of the design just cruel, because I find the Japanese competition The triple may be so good, I can’t get used to the design and therefore it should become a Ducati, a used 796 or possibly 696. What is the difference between the two models, which would be the better choice and how good are they compared to older models of the Monster series? And what about durability and maintenance?

  • Ducati 848 – a striking price difference between Ameriak and Europe. WARUUM?

The current list price of a Ducati 848 here in Croatia, where I am currently staying, is 124,900Kuna (HRK). According to the current exchange rate, this is €17,230,68 because the HRK has recently gained value. When I read a driving report about the Duc’ 848 on an American website, the high purchase price, which according to this website, is $12,995 in the USA, which is according to the current exchange rate 8,305,11€. I have lost my eyes. In America, the Ducati is MORE than the price of a Ducati 848 here in Croatia, where I am currently staying. half cheaper? I knew the car there is generally a bit cheaper, but that’s a shame to us Europeans! Since the phenomenon generally occurs with cars I hope now that someone can explain to me why this is so. One would expect that European products in America are even more unaffordable in the weak dollar. Moreover, there are still the transport costs. Are there even the same motorcycles sold there or are they min If it is worthwhile for European manufacturers to sell their products so cheaply, then I wonder how much they earn from selling in Europe. Someone once said they subsidized their products in the USA through the high list prices here. If that’s true, why are they doing this? Why are these things so expensive here? Are we Europeans such rich money bags? Can anyone who has any idea explain this to me?

  • Is it your opinion or your original?

Dear forum I’m interested in your opinion about the “ennobling” of the Diva. The HD driver prefers to customize everything is clear and accepted. How much and what kind of “chicks” do you build, and what is the Diva reasonable without being cheesy? So for me, a Termi or BOS system o.k., also an open coupling GERADE is still in order. But then anodized valve caps, custom lacquering, superlight wheels, carbon orgies, lightweight footrests etc. etc…. Short and good, you invest more in performance or rather in Deco? And would you rather buy an original Maschia used or one with the full folklore?

  • Ducati Monster 796 Tyre choice

Hello in the round Maybe there is already a contribution to this but I didn’t really find it My question I am proud owner of a 796 monster However, the tires are finished and have to go down. I did not drive the motorcycle effectively with the old tires except for the test. Because I have made bad experiences with old and not suitable to the motorcycle tires is now my question: Which tires fit best to the Monster 796? aften best? For information. I only ride in nice weather and max 3000km a year. The tires don’t have to last long. Can live with it every 3 years to exchange them. I don’t drive in the rain either. Would like to ride the monsters sportyly. But also take a tour. Would be happy if maybe one or other owner writes his tyre choice and experiences. Thank you at this point in advance.

  • New entrant questions on Multistrada V2

Hello, after the Samson years in the youth I drove now 1 year 125er and make my A-schein at the moment. After long research, lots of pro-possibilities and discussions with the dealers 2 bikes have made it to the top of the wish list: the Multistrada V2S and the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro. Of course I have not yet driven any of the test, still lacks the driver’s license … Since I am certainly not the first one who has both bikes on the note, I would be interested in why you euc h decided for the V2 and not for the tigers. I would like to collect some opinions to get a picture of me. Second and more important question: how is the long-term with the maintenance costs of the V2. One reads the wildest stories. What do the annual inspections cost about, when are bigger inspections and what do they cost? To the info: I would rather get a 1-2 year old V2, with the Desmo engine. The Mj 25 has become too expensive for me and also With Ducati unfortunately also the red pencil has the say (way down keyless e.g.). What can one actually sound like sound-technically still out? Unfortunately all the Euro5 models don ́t sound so intoxicating anymore. Is there an Akra-system or similar worth it or is the money out? Thank you for your answers. Greetings, Markus

  • Service preparation

My “old” has to go back to the service. When I told the service man to make an appointment, ST, he said hmm… When I told him that it was tripped, he was strapped up ^^ The disguise of the ST is well screwed, fast doesn’t really go away. That’s why I always take it off before the appointment. At the same time you can clean it up. The Diva has now 77000 km and still runs mercilessly reliable. I like the Rumpelkiste. Have already tried various mopeds In addition to a Triumph Thruxton, I didn’t mention anything. Nor did the V2 Multi. VG Walter

  • Desmo service Streefighter V4 S

I would like to buy a Ducati Streetfighter V4S. I’m just going through the offers and in an advertisement it says: “Desmo-Service” is done at 25000 km. Invoice available: 3.400,- € !!!! Can this be? A motorcycle inspection, which costs three and a half thousand otzen? I would simply leave the fingers of Ducati if that were almost true. LG Wolfgang

  • St2 display failure

Moin together, since our car is broken, I had to drive to work with the mopped for the last few days. There the mopped is unfortunately also outside in the rain. Yesterday, when I started the ride home, the clock went through the display in a quick run. Like when you set the clock. Temperature indicator remained on LO and the tank indicator also showed no movement. Even when ignition, the whole stuff continues. I checked the plugs of the two temperature sensors. Nothing oxidized or Finally I solved the red plug that comes from the display and I am without the display to work. After work the plug again and everything was good again. After two minutes drive the misery went off again. What could the error be? Water damage in the display? Since the error is also there when ignition is off, must be somewhere a short circuit, right? Thanks for helpful tips.

  • Purchase 848

Moin all together, I’m relatively new in the motorcycle game and I was offered by the dealer after a car purchase yesterday an 848 by the boss. She is really great there in white, 17,000 running, timing belts new and service grade new. Checkbook maintained. He wants 6,500€ for it. Ez 01/2008, Arrow sports exhaust system is installed. I find a really good offer. I only know that they are a bit bitchy times and the services are expensive compared to Japanese… But is that true? The prices for I found original parts really expensive. I am really a bit torn back and forth. I was actually completely set on an R1 Rn19/rn22. I would hate to put a lot of money into the maintenance. What about the reliability / durability of the 848? Is the maintenance really so expensive compared to the R1? About experiences and tips I would be very happy! 🙂

  • Ducati Supersport 950 Evotech Performance license plate holder

Hello, I need your opinion/ advice. ?I just bought this license plate holder:https://www.evotechparts.com/en/…r-SuperSport license plate holder.html now I am thinking of how to best attach the license plate and the cat’s eye. ? Option 1: attach the license plate with 2 screws to the two slots and screw the cat’s eye to the license plate from behind with the help of a specially designed angle plate. rdings the fear that the license plate will clap and I find stupid that I then have to drill into the lower number/letter. ? Option 2: I buy this plate https://www.evotechparts.com/en/verstärkte-characterplatte.html? I can also attach it with only 2 screws, but the whole is stiffer and hopefully not clapping and I don’t have to drill into any number/letters of the license plate. ? Or do you have another idea? Greeting Timo
