Hello, I had already written an article at the beginning of the year, because this year I actually wanted to switch from my BMW F800S to the Duc Supersport 950. The season is now over. I have been well on the road with my F800S all year round, now about 62Tkm on the clock!. Unfortunately at the moment on the used motorcycle market is absolutely dead pants in all directions. To my ad I had four unspeakable request. One wanted to pay the price on 3 installments, For the other I should halve the price (with my machine in the segment by 3 T€) unnoticed!). I placed it according to the relevant offers according to age and mileage in the lower third and already reduced twice. In contrast to this, the Ducs I wanted to offer are almost all still on the net since May , June and there is absolutely nothing moving in price. A biker friend who advertises his Honda ( 5 years old) for sale since April, it is similar. e Prices for new vehicles, on the other hand, rise into the immeasurable? Probably you have to wait another 1- 2 years until this becomes normal again!?

Motorcycles for beginners
Hello, I’ve been a fan of the Ducati brand and their bikes since a few months. I’ve had my A2 driving license for a few months now and I’m thinking about getting a used Monster 600. I’m aware that the 600 doesn’t have ABS, etc. However, I think the bike is very nice and I’ve already tested the Monster 600 from a friend. If something should break, I’m also ready to hand it myself. I find the following offer interesting: https:/ /www.kleinanzeigen.de/…/2672074039-305-1246 What should I pay attention to? And do you think it’s likely that the bike in the display has turned back the mileage a little bit (because 7,000km for a machine at this age seems a little less to me)? Thank you very much for your help.

V2 VS 4 cylinders, who wins?
Hello together. You hear more and more and more strange things about this topic. That’s why I wanted to open this up here with us Ducatisti and discuss it openly. The following: Some say PS = power and therefore no matter if 2 or 4 cylinders. That means if I let a V2 with the same weight and translation as a 4 cylinders race against each other, you would also drive immediately. I always thought the acceleration of the V2 is stronger than of a 4 cylinder. A V2 has less horsepower than a 4 cylinder since the 4 cylinder has to be first in the range 5 -6 T revolutions so that it can hit the V2. or the other way around: 4 cylinders = 3 go up and one goes down, then 3 have to go down and one has to go up = it needs more force. V2 = Regular up and down and thus better acceleration. Is that at all right? Oh yes, something else…. we also claim: torque = power. Thanks for your feedback

ABS/curve/anxiety etc
Hello Biker and Ducatisti…. I hope I am right here with my question, otherwise please redirect. Just in advance, I would ask you not to open your hate drawer, my question is serious and really only because I have no experience with it. So: I have been an occasional biker for a good 20 years. I once had a CBR 1000, I have also driven a Panigale 2018 etc. But everything only as a toy, never professionally or permanently. I would like to ask a question and hope for concrete answers that go beyond “I guess, I think, I think” (not mean bad). How is it to ride a bike that has curve ABS? I would like to know what happens if you are in full sloping position on the left without bad intention and suddenly overtakes one in the opposite traffic. What happens when you get into the iron exactly? I know, many of you are shaking your head over my question, but I really want to be serious about that. There are many Vids online, which show ABS brakes in straight drive, but never something concrete too (full) sloping at e.g. 130 kmh on the country road………. Has anyone done this before or can help me with it?

every 2 years to renew timing belts ???
Hello Ducatisti, my dealer shocked me last days because he thought that with my now 3 year old ST4S the timing belts had to be renewed. Running performance should not play a role. The things would age by themselves and could tear at higher stress. Should this occur a salto is probably not avoidable. Cost point 450 – 600 mice. How is your experience !!

How bad is a Ducati really in maintenance?
Good evening love community, since I’m 12 years old I dream of driving Ducati. At that time my neighbor drove by with his 784 in yellow and I knew immediately that is mine….if I’m tall I drive something like that too!!! Well now I am 36 and the dream should be fulfilled now ?????? But many guesses me strongly off! The inspections are far too expensive and service maintenance goes with several 1000 euros into the budget. Besides, they like to go sometimes what then also immediately e xtrem goes into the money. And now I stand there, thinking about a used 996 or 848 as an entry and see pictures of an invoice for the GROSSEN service at a 996 and that cost the 4300 Euro. WTF? ??????? So now the important question: How expensive is it really and can one buy a super athlete from Ducati without going to the dogs in the long term? I remain with friendly greeting and hope for many helpful contributions ????

Purchase of ducati monster 696
Hello, I recently decided to start riding a motorcycle again. I used to drive a ktm duke 200. Now I absolutely want to change to a monster because it was always my dream motorcycle. I am a student and have a motorcycle budget is 5000 euros… that has hindered my search a bit but… I have recently also found a beautiful monster in the area. however, this has already more than 40000 km on the hump… but it has already been the motor g The new engine should have 20000 km at runtime.. Link :https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/…/1561200490-305-6436?… do you think it’s a good decision to buy such a motorcycle yet? I would mainly only drive to university and back. But would also wish to be able to make trips with it. In the best case from Munich to Rome? Is this still realistic with such runtime? also I would be happy to everyone knows how much additional costs I can expect on this bike… thank you in advance!

Hello forum, am doing my driving licence class A and looking for a used Ducati Monster 600 for the beginning. My question: What should be taken into account? What should be more weighted the KM performance or the Bj.? here a link to a video of a Duc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwaVyu0rMcI If the video can be used to evaluate the technique, I would be grateful about your opinion Thank you Jango
