  • Ducati Diavel Purchase / Questions

Hello everyone! In the last days/months I have been busy buying a motorcycle and have come back to the Diavel again and again. Since the weather also increases the urge on motorcycle riding I now want to go to action. In addition I wanted to know from the Ducati community whether the Diavel still has any “children’s diseases” or the like that could stop me from buying and should switch to another model. The 2 motorcycles, which on my “desirable list” I don’t want to start a discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of a Ducati over a BMW, but just know about experiences with the Diavel. Still to my person: I am male, 48 years old, living in Switzerland and have been without a motorcycle for several years. Purpose of use would be primarily pleasure, i.e. is not needed for the daily work path. Thanks now already for reviews. Greetings from the Alpine Republic, Pete7

  • Ducati 848 evo 2011 Maintenance

Hello together I bought 04/11 an 848 Evo, with which I am also very satisfied. So nu to my problem,or question. I knew the maintenance and inspection at the Duc ́s is not quite cheap. Only I have the feeling that my dealer bites me over the ear, because I do not know so well. I had made the first inspection right after 1000 km. There were oil changes and lubricants changed. for over 300€!? Ever, in December 2012, I placed it at the dealer’s, since I had my e Garage in winter. I said that he should check everything (i.e. small inspection) if everything is still in order (tires, brakes, liquids etc.) because of stamp and guarantee. Now I got the bill. The timing belt was changed, oil changes (already!?) and smallnesses were made. For this 6 hours were calculated. For almost 500€ I have to say that are only 4500 km down, so between last oil change and this was driven just 3000 km. I h thought that the inspections would have become cheaper due to less work and longer intervals. So my question, are these works justified, and also the price? Thank you very much Beautiful Christmas

  • Ducati Monster s2r 800 as a beginner motorcycle

Hello guys, as the topic already says I have to get a monster s2r before me. I made my driving license class A limited last year and am now looking for a reasonable motorcycle. I would like the s2r 800 very much from the optics / battery. I don’t like the new monsters 696/796/1100 now sooo good….with the 796/1100 I can still be friends (arm swing) but they are anyway too expensive. Well to my questions…. I would have so u m the 5,500 Euro available and wanted to get me a s2r for it. The s4r are probably quite expensive in the maintenance/service I heard. With the smaller 2-valve you drive probably still much cheaper…? The main question is now: Would you advise me to a s2r or something else? What must you pay attention to except check booklet/service (ventile, timing belts etc.). Are there special vulnerabilities? Is there a critical mileage where you prefer to say from there fingers away!? Or do you say you prefer to get away from Ducati and prefer a brand other than entry? As I said I’m a beginner and don’t have much idea Thanks already.

  • 2008er 848 suitable for touring??

Hello, where the weather is a bit nicer today, a 08er 848 test. I’m pretty excited about it and seriously think about whether I’m thinking about it. Unfortunately, I was only allowed to drive half an hour and wonder if you can do a little bigger tour with it, or if the Duc is only suitable for injection tours. Are there maybe also bags that don’t bite with the ingenious look? Here’s the link to the bike: http://suche.mobile.de/…/173502197.html?… I is the price ok? There is still TÜV, tires, battery new. In addition, other footrests, rear turn signal, ESD, handlebars, clutch and brake levers are installed. Can you possibly find out how far the brake covers are already down??

  • Can Ducati Sport Classic license plate leave in front of the rear wheel and spray protection?

Hello community, I would like to buy a new motorcycle soon, I would have thought of the beautiful Ducati Sport Classic!http://www.abload.de/thumb/2006-ducati-1000-sporwsk75.jpg However, since the oversized exhaust and first and foremost the plate holder with spray protection are incredibly disruptive, I wanted to remodel the Ducati about like this (marks hang in the bottom, remove splash protection and smaller exhaust)http://www.abload.de/thumb/01_jsjokt3.jpg htt p://www.abload.de/thumb/00_jsoijpu.jpg Now to my questions: 1. Can I even hang the license plate so far down here in Germany? At least it is visible! But is that allowed? 2. Can I drive around in Germany without spray protection at all? There are many who do this, especially the Harley drivers, so that you can see the thick rear wheel. But can I remove the spray protection without any problems and can I get through the Tüv with it? I have different opinions g listen, some say, “No, you can’t drive without splash protection, even if you come through the tuv with it, you could have smeared one there, so it’s punishable despite registration.” And the others say, “Of course you can drive without splash protection, if you have a friend at the tuv, you get it so registered, then the policemen can’t do anything afterwards. Registered and finished”. So what’s right now? 3. I would love to have a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of fun. An alternative would be the Zard exhaust! http://www.ducati.kaemna.de/pic/tuning//jrgenstappert1000.jpg However, I don’t like the upper rear silencer. Is it also in the design that both pipes end only in the lower rear silencer? Just like on this picture:http://www.ducati.ms/…/…fighter-blk-streetfighter-stage-5-copy.jpg Or are there other similar alternatives? I would like to thank you in advance for your answers 🙂 Best regards

  • What do you do?

Hello, I was inspired by Ducati Feeling and I’m really excited. I bought a ST2 and actually it runs very well. Now the problem: At WE my girlfriend and I wanted to make a nice exit. The first 10 kilometers the moped ran like cream; was really enthusiastic. Then she started to jerk on constant drive. Constant driving trucks I know from BMW but that was somehow more violent, as if the ignition completely failed. Similar, if you are in thrust, gas gi bt, back in the thrust and so on. After a short break and puzzled us and decided to turn around. The starter ran damn slowly, but it still jumped. On the way home the “exposed” became worse. Acceleration is wonderful, no misfires or similar, also not in the thrust. According to the previous owner, timing belts, valves, generator, regulator battery have been renewed, respectively, adjusted. Running power currently 35,500 kilometers, Built: 19 97. Does anyone have an idea??? Thank you for your help!!

  • ST2 is no longer running out

Hello, my St2 doesn’t go out anymore. Just came home from a tour, wanted to make out the mopped, but the engine just went on (stuttered more)??? also the kill switch didn’t succeed, had to pull the ignition cables because I didn’t know how to help myself, does any of you have any idea what that could be??? ECU??? thank you for your help!

  • Ducati throttle and throttle via radio switch – Class A (limited)

Hi, first of all I wanted to say that I’m aware of which huge throttle of the Mottorad brings with it: insurance does not pay offense … and I would like to ask here for a factual discussion about the theme: electronic (chip) throttle of a motorcycle (in my case Ducati Monster 800) and the radio switch controlled throttle of this chip. 1. Question can you throttle a motorcycle completely electronically? 2. If so, is there any kit? I am a part like the one installed here:http://shop.wiltec.info/…/…Switching power 12V-4x12A–4-channel.html Thanks Chris

  • Search Ducati 696

Hello, I’m looking for a Ducati 696. The problem is that I’m only 1.58 and at the moment I’m driving a deeper Kawasaki Er5. I’d like to see what I have to do with the Ducati. The Kawasaki has a height of 80cm and the Duc of 77cm, is so far quite good. The problem is that there are as good as no offers in space Berlin/Brandenburg! I’m not going to Bavaria first to sit for rehearsal! Does anyone know a Ducati 696???? Li ebe Greetings from Berlin
