  • Remove car wash scraper: apply your hand or have it reprocessed

Hello together, I have recently had an Audi A6 Avant, which is still quite young, but because it was a leader, he was always washed by the local car dealership in the in-house washing machine and therefore has the typical round washing system scraper. Currently, the hand wash is not at all fun, because the car has never been polished, let alone treated with Wax. With my previous vehicles I always applied liquid glass or legend after the polish/painting treatment and wants to do so this time also with the A6. Now the question is, buy polishing machine or have the paint processed so far that I only have to apply the legend. As a polishing machine I had actually chosen the Lupus 6100 15mm, which is probably currently no longer available to me. However, in the set it is still available as I see it? A few requests at Fzg-preparieren have already given about 400€.

  • Scratch washway or effect metallic varnish

Hi, I noticed this in my new car, but only in the bright sun. Now I’m not sure if that came from the last wash road or is just an effect of metallic paint. These “crackers” are 99% circular and can only be seen at certain angles, but static. Images in the appendix. Thanks Tom

  • Which Snow Foam Shampoo

Hello, I bought a Snow Foam Lance and this one here:http://www.lupus-autopflege.de/Heavy-Duty-Foam-Lance-Schumkanone Now I have tried this out directly with the CG Citrus Wash and was not so excited about the result…. It foamed properly, but the foam did not stick…. I have chosen a dose that is normal enough for 10L and filled into the 1L container, because I have read that you need a stronger mixing ratio here. Now I think about whether I should get the ValetPro Snow Foam. Will I achieve a better result in terms of the “sticking” of the foam on the car? Thank you already in advance.

  • Where/how should I knead my car?

I would like to treat my car with 3M paint knete, but I have a few questions about how you do that… The car washing/ungrowing is not a problem in the SB washing machine, but where can I use the dough? You need a lubricant (soap liquor), which should be washed off afterwards so that you can apply the wax. Since the city “wet” car care on the road or in (building) plants has forbidden I can therefore not do this at home. In the SB plant, however, I don’t want to claim the washing box for me for 2 hours, therefore my question to you experienced car conditioners: How do you do that, where do you go, if you have to work on the vehicle longer but still water/soap in play? Without being ratted out by the neighbors or the law something against it? Or do you really have to look for an SB washing box operator, which doesn’t bother you that you stand around on its premises for hours? I hope I’m not wrong here with my question, “am new” Many thanks for any answers!

  • First half decent polish, what else to consider? Need tips

Hello guys, I’m planning to set up my M-Class a little bit on the weekend. I took a lot of time for it. Preferably, the hood should be polished, because this looks quite taken away by washing systems and sun exposure. Therefore, I would like to use the following steps: 1. apply with Gloria FM10 neatly foam and let in 10min 2. wash with SONAX XTREME Shampoo 2 in 1 + warm water 3. dry thoroughly 4. Petzolds Clean Knete and Clean Sprey 5. polish vehicle with 3 pastes – —–3M 51052 Perfect-it III Grind paste —–3M 80349 Perfect-it Polish paste Grind paste Extra Fine —–3M 51302 Perfect-it III Anti-Hologram Politur 6.Collinite Super Doublecoat wax I have a well lit garage and can perform the polish in closed spaces. In youtube I have looked at numerous videos for beginners. So I will only work with machine printing and not additionally press. Do not hold it too long on a spot.

  • Polishing – how often does the paint last?

Hello! In general, it is always said that one should not exaggerate it with the frequency of polishing, because otherwise the paint is quickly “through”. As a bloody layman I wonder, from when it becomes dangerous according to experience? How many polishes does an average factory paint last? Some one polishes his sweetheart for years 2 times a year, for which I am honestly too schissig – just because of said warning.

  • New car – What is done during the preparation before handover ?

Hello, I will soon get a new Seat Alhambra in Deep Black. Since it will soon be winter again, I wanted to make it ready for winter after the delivery. The dealer wants to prepare the car completely before the delivery. So that I do not have so much work, I wanted to use the preparation from the dealer, and after delivery with the preservation continue. But now the question asks me, what exactly does the SEAT dealer do with such a preparation ? Full program with washing, polishing, waxing or pushes the car only through the washing system ?! Bzw. what does he usually lubricates on my car. Can this be used as a basis for the e.g. wax order? What would you do with a completely new car? Have still the following products at home which I could use. => finish kare 1000p => finish kare Pink Paste => Swirl X=> ultimate compound and I would like to have a standing time until spring. For a few short tips or links in advance many thanks! PS FAQ: I have read many different products.

  • Which polishes, which waxes

Hello I’m new here and wanted to know from you which polishes you use or which you can recommend to me. I started to polish cars (more recent models not oldtimers) 2 years ago or to prepare them inside and outside because I’m new and only have the information from the internet I got the following means.I went to my first try following: Thorough hand wash with HD cleaner and wash glove Shampoo NXT by Meguaris, Leathering with the Water Magnet by Meguaris Before polishing with the Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailed paint quick cleaner over. and then polish with the hand polish: Meguiars – Swirl Remover I use these for washing systems scratches, scratches in the door handles etc. Furthermore I have the Meguaris Ulitmate Polish these I have only used with my own car because it is relatively new. After the polish I have read the Qick Wax by Meguaris or the Meguaris Deep Crystay Wax on. My questions are that right? or what would you like to give me?

  • Questions about first polishing in life and 13 more questions

Hello dear forum, I’ve been ghosting on this forum for a long time and also read quite a lot of contributions to autopolitur. I still have to get rid of the fact that Celsi’s contributions motivated me to buy a Flex 3401 recently, with which I want to polish in the future. There was a contribution from Celsi, which I unfortunately can’t find anymore, where he wrote that you have to scroll up to 700,- EUR for a long-term polish. My car has these washing system scrapers (named the Swirls?), Some fingernail scrapers in the door handle pits, stone strokes (no big or disturbing) and very other fine scratches that I can’t match their origin. As a “tool” I now have a Flex 3401, various microfiber cloths, a polishing pad etc. As “polishing agent” I bought Meguiars SwirlX polish, Meguiars Ultimate Compund polish, Collinite Super DoubleCoat Wax (Carnauba base), Sonax Exenter polish 04-06 and a Sonax grinding paste. I have looked at some videos etc. and also read various posts in this forum. What I didn’t really understand: 1. Do you have to stick the car in partial areas, or is it only for orientation? 2. Can you also polish plastic parts (studs etc.) with the exenter machine, or are they basically polished by hand with other polishers, or do they also have to be “glued/covered”? 3. How do you proceed, compared to Is the SwirlX first used for my products, then the compound and finally the wax? 4. Do you have to wash the car again after every polishing step, e.g. Swirl polish, then compound, then the sealing etc., or do you apply the layers “over one another?” 5. Do my products even use the Flex 3401, or is there anything to consider? 6. I have also read that the polish agents are sometimes coarser, sometimes finer, what is the difference? 7. When do I take a Hard, when a soft pad, why do I have to pay attention to that at all and how long does a pad hold or how often can one use it, or how can one clean it properly? 8. Do all plastic parts (lights, trims, sliding roof seals, possibly bumper etc.) absolutely have to be glued off and if so, why? 9. How do one proceed with uneven areas with the machine (e.g. bonnet, which has different ups and downs) in order to reach any area? 10. Polishing the car with a microfiber cloth again dried by the polish residue? 11. I don’t have a garage or the like, can you polish it outdoors? 12. How do you polish places that cannot be reached with the Flex 3401, or are too small for it, e.g. at the back of the trunk or near the license plate? With your hand or does the “Profi” have a smaller machine for this? 13. Where do you start and where do you work? I think that the questions really have a good practice I have collected these questions in a period of about 2 months after I have looked at many contributions and videos, instructions etc.. I think that this could certainly answer the question of one or other beginner or interested person. Many videos or instructions presuppose a basic knowledge, even if this should be minimal, which I unfortunately cannot show at all in this part of my life. I also have curb scrapers on the rims, can I also use the above-mentioned products for my aluminium rims, or use a 3,000′ sandpaper to create an improvement in advance and cheaply?Since I also read a lot in the forum and some users almost had to apologize, because they had asked something, I ask for insight. Not everyone has to answer the above-mentioned questions, or point out any topics, or the board rules or tell me that I have the fingers there You too have started somewhere and had to ask the one or the other question. Otherwise I am really happy about helpful answers, for which I would be very grateful! Have a nice day and love greetings!

  • Light polish without wax before sealing

Unfortunately I get only a strange answer to my question from Sonax myself. My car is now 2 years old. Would only be washed by hand and permanently sealed and waxed. Now I would like to use a light polish with Sonax Protect and Shine before the next sealing. Most are unfortunately with waxes on which a sealing does not hold optimal. Sonax said I should use their polish 2. Supposedly this fits already despite wax. Well. Quite concretely, what k Can you recommend a handwork for this particular case? Or should I take a polish with wax and then bring it down laboriously?
