  • Lacquer after hand wash partly matt.

Hello, Ride a slk r170 in blue. Have the car washed today by hand and applied wax. At the rear wheel run the paint has become stained. Have everything washed again but the stainy remains. The places feel rough in contrast to the rest of the paint and look dull. Can you get this away with a polish again? Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Have used extra microfibre cloths and washed with the two bucket method.

  • Driving new cars through the car wash first?

Moin 🙂 I have a question around me and I hope for answers or help with finding suitable posts here in the forum. Next week I get my first new car (before smoking car or business car) and think about whether I change completely on hand wash and thus spare myself these typical scratches. But the car is already 3 – 4 weeks at the dealer and will certainly be washed by them before. Now my question: how do the large car dealerships do this? I know that you will be asked if the car is allowed to be washed or if you only do it by hand. I don’t want to ask the dealer completely blue-eyed about it and therefore: Who knows what and can tell me how it usually works. I’m curious about your reactions jochjuma Achso, the paint is called Bamboo Guard Green Metallic and looks like he likes scratches 😉

  • Hand polish: result too good to be true?

Dear friends, from Jux I recently polished two parts of my car (coat wing in front left and driver door with A column) by hand with a SONAX polish sponge and a pair of drops of 3M polish. The car is scratched DERART that the obsidian black actually looks more like road bait grey. I think the previous owner drove the Rally Dakkhar weekly. Anyway, I was a bit overwhelmed by the result. I didn’t polish for long. About 5 minutes per part and the Gla nz is not of this world. You could put the car back in the sales hall. No matter how I held my lamp against the paint, it was not a single micro-swirl to see anymore. And I repeat, the paint is actually as finished with the world as it can be. But that’s not enough. I have a suspicion. Maybe you can say something. After polishing I just gave a little fog of water to the polished parts around the polit The water has beaded! Like after a laundry with wax seal. Even a few days later (today it rains for example) the water still drains. Now my question is: is this all with the oh so great polish result maybe only an illusion? Are in the polish maybe just waxes or similar contain that fills up the scratches for a certain time and the illusion of a great polish gives itself but after a few weeks/months again washed out? Or ha t the one with the other nothing to do and the polish was actually a hit, even if the pearling properties will wash out soon?

  • Which spray sealer/detailler as drying aid

Servus, I haven’t been washing my car by hand for a long time and have applied 2x Sonax Ceramic Spray sealing after washing and drying with 2 months in between, because then the performance has decreased noticeably. On the one hand I was not so satisfied with the service life, but the “more annoying” was the application itself after drying. So apply with microfiber cloth and polish with the dry always. After washing my car anyway every 3-5 weeks, I want to wash my car in the future. So before I dry my car, I get out my sprayer and spray the surfaces before I dry them. This should be a common and effective method, which makes hardly any extra effort and you still have a seal for a few weeks (until the next wash). My question: With the Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer you sometimes read that the surface is not as smooth as it is with other products. 1. Is this a real disadvantage at all? Or only a problem if you like to caress your car? Smoother doesn’t necessarily mean better beeding, does it? 2. Which product is recommended as a “dry help” with sealant? BSD is often read, even ADBL SSW should be good for it. Which one more? Thanks.

  • Remove tar stains – Is a preparation worth it?

Moin together, with us in the village the road was redeployed. In the current weather but released too early. Now the whole village has beautiful tar spots on the car. My first attempt with Teerentferner was successful. It can be cleaned overall well. However, I will probably need 3-4 cans, as the whole car is really affected all around. To do this some questions: – is the paint subsequently damaged by the tar or the cleaning? How important is it, the really complete – Do I necessarily need a new seal? – Is it worth a conditioner for removal and care? What could this cost according to experience? – any other tips for cleaning? Tomorrow I will now spray my car generously in front of the washing machine and wipe it off and then drive through the washing machine again. Thank you for any advice.

  • Quality/recommendations of washing facilities(chains)

Hi there, one way forward: I don’t want to start a discussion here about “Waschanalge ist geschcht – i’m just doing hand wash”. Nevertheless, I’m interested in experiences with laundry chains (that’s not what I mean now at the gas station, but the two big chains, such as Mr. Wash or Best Carwash. These sometimes even offer flatrates for washing (https://www.flatwash.de/en) or hand waxes. What do your experiences look like? VG WJ

  • Hand wash and grow

Have a good day to all car lovers, have a few questions since our new piece of jewellery has grown to my heart and I do not want to make any mistakes in the care. Since the first wash in the wash road had taken place these zwirbels pulled in there. Of course you can only see it on the black high gloss painted surfaces (roof, door rails middle). One could e.g. after a hand wash and drying at the doors afterwards with polish over( have another from abacus hi The other one is waxed after washing and drying with sonax brilliant wax1 (would you recommend it?). After that I didn’t see many small fluffs but they seem to hang under wax how would you handle it? Now the last one comes with the hand wash. I wanted to buy the dodo juice born to be mild then I still have a sonax 2 in1 multischwamm here. As a dry cloth I have to the orange baby of li quid Elements thought the things were good?Oh yes the rest of the paint is gray metallic. Thank you very much. Have some more questions but you know how that is you could wash every day everywhere you see dreck haha we have only been the car for 1 month therefore I want of course an optimal protection and care.

  • Black foil on white car

Hello, it’s finally time, I have a car. Now I want to spice up my white car with cow stain foil. An acquaintance of mine said that was a bad idea, because white paint wouldn’t tolerate it and you would see it afterwards… that would be really bad, because I own a new car :/ and wanted to sell it again at some point. Is that true or can I stick it to it without hesitation?

  • ceramic sealing from 600€ recommendation

I would like to miss a ceramic seal for my F10 soon. Have you already made an experience with it? The car will stand like a new car after that Have already looked at sample pictures of the company and seen really abnormal what happens afterwards for a result. After that the paint is no longer sensitive is attacked by anything and has a protective layer for four years on it Washer scrapers and that are past The fun will cost me 650€ With F wretched victory and everything What do you say about it?

  • “Quick detailers” use for ceramic sealing – yes or no?

Hello everyone! At the beginning of August my new Ford Focus goes to the conditioner; here it is first washed and polished and afterwards comes a ceramic seal of Brila (“Red Line”. Currently I use the “Brilliant Shine Detailer” after every hand wash by Sonax to get even more shine and varnish protection. The car maintainer, who will apply the ceramic seal, gave green light to the detailer to use even further afterwards, since this also the effect of the ceramic But now I have read on the website of another conditioner that so-called quick details should be a “no-go” after a ceramic seal. The opinions are totally divided. I don’t want to spend much money on the seal, in order to destroy it by wrong handling after the laundry or to put down the service life dramatically. Can I use the “BSD” – or any other detailer – far away Is there a clear yes or no? Your expert opinion is required… Greeting!
