  • New cars in washing machine

Hello, for 2 weeks I have been the proud owner of a new Audi A4 Avant. Unfortunately, I can’t always wash my cars by hand. Therefore, the question arises whether there is a time limit for new cars, in which one should not drive through the washing machine. Thank you in advance for your answers! Greeting Alex

  • Detect spray mist by what?

Hello have found at my 2 cars after washing, that these are covered with whitish dots. very very small. have polished with Rocket; the dots do not go away. you notice, that the paint feels very rough. on the road opposite has a painting doctor his workshop. he painted outdoors. distance about 20-30m. can this spray mist be of painting work? can the freshly painted paint/fog cover such distances and stick to my cars? or is this tec Is it not possible? Does anyone have a tip on how to test it more accurately? mfg soul

  • Product recommendation – Washing & polishing

Hello, there are already many Theards about it. But I didn’t really find one where certain products are recommended. I’m a small washing freak, drive at least once a week car cleaning. Since I soon get a new Peugeot 207 SW, I wanted to ask for good things. So for washing I have the product “Wash & Wax”, a nice sponge and for leathering keep leather lobes, but it starts already believing that this is not the best for it. Think there I need a new leather lobe and then I need a smart product for polishing and what to apply, so the complete package for polishing… best what about ATU, because it’s nearby=)… Maybe you can help me, I’d be happy…

  • Aquablade

Had seen an aquablade (or something similar) on TV a while ago. So such a Kunsstofflippe, with which you can wipe the water off the car (similar to a windscreen wiper) after washing. Should be easier and faster than with the leather and also have no disadvantages compared to the leather. Just where to buy? Are there also different: What is good?

  • The two digits of the multi-range oil

Hello everybody, I’m just posting this question in this forum, because that’s probably the most appropriate thing. Oil is somehow also part of vehicle maintenance, just from the inside I’ve tried to get smart from the two digits of a multi-range engine oil (e.g. 10W-40). So far I’ve found out from Wikipedia that the first number probably indicates what viscosity the oil has when it’s cold (ca. -18°C, is that right??), the W stands for winter, and the second number gives the viscosity of the oil at approx. 100°C. The higher the viscosity of the oil, the thinner it is, right? And thinly liquid the oil should be, or does that deceive me?? If so, how can it be? Why is 5W-XX oil better than 15W-XX oil, if it is actually thinner in cold?? I have read some of the additives and synthetic oil that should protect the engine inside, but at the same time a low viscosity should be less fuel consumption of the engine before the W. But how, if the oil is actually thicker than one with a higher number. I stand absolutely on the hose with it. Can anyone explain this to me?? merendo

  • The Winter Care Thread

Hey guys, so slowly but surely the winter is in front of the door. So it’s time to take care of the car again before the first big winter break. How’s it going with you? Just take a quick look at the wash road, suck out, maybe clean the windows and get ready? Would I be interested in what else you have in mind, maybe you can look at one or the other?! So I will, when I pull up my winter tires again (think like this in one, two Where In any case, this includes: – thorough washing in an SB washbox – suction – inside completely clean – cleaning panes inside and outside and treating them with an anti-fog (I find it really awesome, if you do it correctly, the panes will not be peeled and you will never get angry about fogged panes) – grease in door rubbers – in- or, depending on your desire, two layers of liquid glass on it Then the car should be well-prepared for the first time. itet be for the winter, I think

  • Care Unilack black

It’s about a BMW E46 Compact in Uni Schwarz II. On the bonnet are some scratches and a stain of burnt-in bird droppings. I’ve read various reports about car maintenance here, but I’m not really smart about what to do. I have the following plans: – Have a vehicle thoroughly cleaned with a conditioner – then I want to seal the then clean vehicle What do I use for this? LG (which) or the rose wax of 3M??? it’s about a long stability, because the gloss of a unilace is probably not so high anyway… Would be grateful if I could get some opinions on my approach!

  • Winter party questions?

Hey guys, I’ve had a new car with white paint since October. Now I wanted to make the vehicle a winter party and wanted to briefly show if this is okay: 1. Wash the car thoroughly in the washing box. Without wax from the lance of course 2. Dry the car properly 3. Apply Per Cleaner Wx for pre-treatment. 4. Wearing Collinite 476 S I have to wait between points 3 and 4 or I can start right away. I think it’s a new car I can use. I have new Alsu on it for my winter bikes. Do I also have to protect them and if so with what? Since I don’t have too much idea yet, I am looking forward to your answers.

  • How do you know polishing speed and how many passes…

Tomorrow, the first polishing is getting closer… I’m going to buy a DJ Buff Daddy. I loved it with a Flex 3401, but with just one rather new car, which was only 1x in the washing machine, I don’t think the Flex is worth it. As polishes I have the following plans: 1. Menzerna PF 2500 on HexLogic Orange Medium Heavy Cut Pad 2. Menzerna FF 4000 on HexLogic White Medium Light Polishing Pad 3. Lime Prime on HexLogic Blue Light Cleaning Pad Then the whole thing with DJ Blue Velvet should be sc To be used (order with Lupus Applicator Pads) According to the posted videos, I have learned: 1. to distribute bitsl polish on the pad and on the machine switched off on paint 2. to be distributed in a small step in a crucifixion 3. Increase speed significantly to process polish 4. Finally 1-2 crucifixes with medium speed –> is this the case with all polishes? because in the video the high gloss polish is not processed with level 5-6 if I remember it correctly. –> Do I know what high/medium speed is? Thank you, regards Peter
