  • Vehicle preparation (newbie)

Hello guys, I want to clean up my paint properly. I thought about growing and first cleaning of course. I’ve never waxed a car before and have no idea about it. Of course there are a thousand posts from which I can pick everything out but I just wanted to ask you specifically if you’re definitely hanging out. I don’t want to put a lot of money in it but nevertheless everything should fulfill its purpose. It doesn’t have to shine like ne 1 but you should see What do you do best before growing? Can I polish it with a normal polish? Or take an extra paint cleaner. I drive a silver G Astra built in 2002. Maybe someone can recommend me a polish or a paint cleaner along with a wax. Maybe for the sake of simplicity from the same manufacturer. I don’t want to put in a lot of money and time, as I said, I would grow it once in half a year. As I said, not the highest quality and most expensive products, I was thinking about Sonax products or something like that. My paint is relatively good, it doesn’t need to be rough polish. As much as possible, everything. Since different people are now recommending different products (which is of course quite understandable and just finished I will look at the products from the first five postings (if someone answers me). Maybe someone could give me an en There are probably thousands of different types of wax from Sonax, but maybe there are also other manufacturers whose products are quite good. I followed the last post with the new American stuff, that doesn’t necessarily have to be, it would be quite easier. It’s mostly about what is good for my paint, of course it’s great if the eye is pleased with it. Greeting Benjamin

  • Which wax for permanent outdoor parkers ? / MFTs and pads to clean by hand

Servus ! The questions are already in the headline. With which wax (or other sealing) one can protect a vehicle, which is constantly standing outside, best and in the long term most ? gloss etc. plays a subordinate role here, rather it concerns the protection above everything in everyday life pours down on the varnish or flats The second question : So far I have avoided to put my applicator pads and MFTs in the washing machine, for fear the laundry could follow Is this concern justified? I use the “even coat applicators” of Meguiars, which in the new state have a snow-white surface. At the latest when one was on a red Uni-Lack it is never much to see from the original color of the pad ^^ With 40 degrees hot water and a proper portion of detergent in the hand wash basin I can get out the rest of the care products apparently, but the red / red In addition, brownish stains of tarts that were removed from the pad remain. I have not yet had to clean/wash the MFTs (Meg. Surpreme Shine). For tips I would be very grateful!

  • Disc sealing for 1,-Euro top product from research

Here’s something good for you….. There’s a voucher campaign from “Your Autoglaser” at the moment where you get a disk seal for 1,-Euro and an interior cleaning (of course only sucked out ). Normally such an action would cost you almost 30,-Euro, the saving is therefore extremely interesting : It’s called Proline ( Omprello ) very good seal. The disk seal keeps up to 1 year. Procedure : Print flyer : Proline Sealing For 1,- Euro check if a branch is close to you, click on the place then the address is displayed below, dates are possible as far as I know at short notice.Your Autoglaser Branches Another tip: Since my printer went on strike, it was not possible for me to print out the flyer, I also told the employee. There were no problems, the disk sealing have done even without flyers. Must say is a fine thing from about 60 km/h you do not need a windscreen wiper meh r. So convince yourself. I am highly satisfied.

  • Wash & Wax Shampoo: Which one should it be?

Hello community, I do not necessarily need a new shampoo, since the Car Bath is still almost full, but would like to try something new / different. It is absolutely a Wash & Wax shampoo, but not one of the well-known and popular shampoos of Dodo, Chemical Guys or Meguiar’s, but one of the little or unknown manufacturers. The following exotics are therefore available: 1. Stjärnagloss Tangerine Wash & Gloss, 1 gallon (3,78 l), £ 22,95 incl. shipping 2. ValetPRO Posei don’s Carnauba Wash, 5 l, £ 24,95 plus shipping 3. Insta Finish Yellow (or Purple) Wash N Wax, 1 gallon (3,78 l), £ 19,95 plus shipping At this point you come into play again, similar to the wax question. Tell me which shampoo I should order. Experiences with one of the products are not necessary, everything may be included in your choice, name of the product, color, fragrance, price… absolutely no matter! Order between the 21st and the 27th of June, if the euro is up to until then every voice counts. Greetings Norske PS: My favorite is the Stjärnagloss

  • Questions about Swizöl Application

Hello, I have ordered the Swizöl Mastercollection for my new Audi and it has already arrived after a day. Now I have a few questions to the Swizöl experts among you about the application, for which I have found nothing in the description. With the Swizöl cotton cloths it is stated that one should wash these before first application at 30 degrees. 1. Does this also apply to the microfibre cloths (blue for polishing and yellow microwash for washing the rims)? 2. And should also the white cleaner applicator is washed before the first use? 3. Is the black applicator washable (for the wax)? (I found no statement in contrast to the white one). If so, does it have to be washed before the first use? 4. To the cleaner fluid: It is always emphasized that before the first wax application you have to use the cleaner fluid and then you should immediately apply the wax, otherwise the varnish is unprotected. How is that now on edges e.g. on the moto If, for example, some cleanerfluid is running around the corner and the wax is applied only outside, would it be possible that at the edge or possibly inside there is a little unwaxed paint left? Is this a problem or how do you handle it? What would happen if the paint was not treated with cleaner fluid if it was not treated with wax and still driven? 5. Excluding chrome parts: plastic parts should be outside of the rim or on the front spoiler (S-line exterior front)? How about chrome parts that are almost right next to the paint? Should they also be treated so that they are protected from cleaner fluid and wax. Thank you for your answers Many regards Audi-089

  • Paint care? What wax??

Hello together! I hope some paint and care professionals can help me further here? And I own a VW Bus T3, which I completely sandblasted, primed, etc. and then painted over last summer in the most tedious small work. At the moment it also holds “winter sleep” (and the paint can harden wonderfully). But how can I protect my paint in the best possible way or with which medium?Wachs should actually be completely enough with a “new” paint? If yes, welc Hes? Or a seal? Or a light polish?? Are there so many products! Sonax, Turtle Wax, Meguiars etc. Sometimes premium waxes for far more than 100Euro (are they really worth the money?!) In summer I like to travel with my bus 4weeks in the south, where optimal care is not guaranteed and the solar steeling is very high! Nevertheless, I want to protect the paint in this frame as best as possible…. Who has particularly good experiences with what means? How should I process the product best??? Other tips??? So that I am already well equipped at the start of the season! Thank you very much for every answer!!!! LG, Slash

  • Car maliciously scratched – what to do?

Hello guys, 2 weeks ago my Ibiza was badly scratched by someone unknown with a key or the like, and once across the entire passenger side. Front and rear fenders as well as both doors. Now I was in a paint shop (not to mention one – have very little time) and let me say what the fun would cost me with him: WITH ACCOUNTS: approx.1350,-€ WITHOUT ACCOUNTS: 700,-€ He thought it was so expensive because he completely sanded the parts off and new l (I am insured with the HUK with the “KASKO-SELECT option”, i.e. they would determine the workshop.) The car is fully insured, the SB is 300,- … in addition I would be back again from 85% to 100%. Now my real question: Do you know what is “usual” for the painting of the 4 parts? Do you think the offer of the paint shop is good? BTW: I hope I am in the right area for car care? with my thread 🙂 Greetings from Hamburg
