In recent times I have noticed that the so-called half-timbered workshops always shine with incredible ignorance. Two weeks ago, a short telephone request from our VW dealer, why the alarm system always goes off with our T5 and what you could do about it. The employee had to make his own sense first and would call me back after consulting the professional staff. Then the call back: so you can do nothing, it had to be checked everything. After a short research in the VW-Forum, I found a mistake and simply determine the triggering sensor, which is listed exactly. Either switch the sensor or set down sensitivity. I had adjusted receptivity by software and since that is quiet. Effort 10 minutes. Second case: oil change with the friendly. Actually, a simple thing. I still said at the procurement, which oil VW pretends for this engine and that no other oil is used. Then the car is delivered and asked again for safety, whether the oil is also used. The employee said that another oil goes, which they also use on other cars. Then it took 10 minutes until I could convince the good one to do more research. And look, I was right. With other oils there can be engine damage. Sometimes I wonder why I should give the car to the glass palaces anyway, if you can do everything yourself. In addition to these two examples, there are other ones. If you are a normal technically ignorant customer, you are simply delivered to these people. Either you calculate services that are not necessary or it is simply repaired. Certainly, my cases are exceptions, but somehow this piles up.

Quotation: …With a commercially available European vehicle with internal combustion engine, a typical consumer can drive for a whole 8 years before the car loads the environment as much as the battery production for a Tesla Model S…..

Store vehicle Audi 80 B4 needs your help
I need your advice/help what’s best. I still have an Audi 80 B4 year 1994 that I don’t want to sell (almost everything else original), at the moment he is driven by an acquaintance of the famiele. All costs run over me. Now this acquaintance has caused a so-called parking lot damage (shrink on the bumper of the other vehicle nothing big) , which is not so bad as I am very far down in my percent. (so no price implications) I drive for my part e a new Audi A6. Now I’m thinking about whether I don’t just moth the Audi 80 and leave it standing (in a hall) until he gets an H license plate. Now my question, how do you do something like this with this vehicle during a complete decommissioning, or would it be better to leave it mottled and move it every now and then. I would be grateful for the answers that lead to the decision-making.

Coolant (technical experience for final exam) Very important!! 🙂
Hello dear screwdrivers and professionals I have next Thursday my final exam to the car technician in Innsbruck on WIFI and I have heard that in the professional discussion of the most accurate about the cooling frost protection is examined, which causes me very much fear because I have never heard that in school or in the training company (there it also nobody knows). Therefore I turn to you What is it about the colors? (red, pink, green, blue, yellowish) What has it with silcat halty and silvery What is it about G11 G12 G12+ G12++ G13? What is it about ethylene and propylene? Which manufacturers use which specifications or which colors? And what does cooling water consist of? (Glykolether?) I work on BMW and Fiat therefore could you please go a little closer to these 2 in comparison to VW (the question the examiners seem to like) See what comes out With friendly greetings

Brake not ventilated
Hello together, I had to change the front brake hoses with my vehicle, because the old porous and barely permeable ones were. Then I logically wanted to vent the brake and with the help of a cheap ventilator, as you get it at ebay, amazon and Co.. Unfortunately, the device did not put up any pressure, then I pumped the pedal, which had the same effect in the end. But after the first test drive I had the impression, that the braking effect was already better and wanted to air out a second time. With the rear brake calipers this worked immediately, but at the front then directly air bubbles came with and more and more air and finally only air. It looked from the outside at least as if brake fluid had flowed continuously into the container. But then I screwed up the container and found that it was almost empty. I finally filled up by hand and the chi ng-thing thrown into the corner and wanted to try it without, but no matter how often I pump over the pedal, there is nothing, neither left nor right. But the container is still full, so there seems to be nothing to follow. What now, do I have so much air in the system that no pressure can be built up at all? If so, how can I get the (possibly with home supplies) out again? Plan B would be driving to the next workshop, but they have a. no time and are b. lying on the mountain. At least in the rear circuit there would have to be still liquid and thus also brake pressure, so a short drive should be possible within the place, I would still have to have the hand brake. But what irritates me a little is a warning in the workshop manual: it says, you should not let the servo pump run for more than 2 minutes at a time during the venting. Now I wonder, what happens to the servo pump, if I drive with air in the system, the then also hot? Supposedly one drives with a defective brake hose and one of the circuits runs empty, as the pump should not give up the spirit? Thanks and greetings Olli

Big Malheur happens, welding tips sought!
Bmw/e93/335 People made a mistake when pressing out a bearing by slightly expanding the ACHSEITIGE borehole/storage for the rubber bearing of the longitudinal handlebar. And it was so easy that the bearing of our felt like it was hard to enter and even though it was still pressed in, it was too much of the good and the bearing had too much play, moved and of course broke after a few km of driving. So how do we get the take/boring now closer so that the stock was like If so, how exactly can we do this, do you have other ideas? Would you also like to use your own or sweater/mech which would take care of it. Lg

Can’t keep doing my job like this!
Hello I have a huge problem: I am a car mechanic 34years old with about 15 years of professional experience! Now it is unfortunately so that my back will no longer allow my profession to continue (physically heavy work) because I have 2 disc incidents, 1x Operated 10years ago, now currently with the 2nd sick to home without surgery on the way of improvement…grad 5 weeks rehabilitation behind me! Had recently had a consultation conversation with the pension fund for retraining etc. There I had the topic Master School mentioned and the nice gentleman said that they would pay for it too if I could explain this with tangible facts why it is because from his/her experience you can get out as a master: -no attitude or only low job offer -only as a working master in the workshop! (that wouldn’t have helped me) How do you see this? What can I do as a master? Does car inspectors make sense? Acceptance/Workshop Master is clear… Power Master overworks Meaning or something else? Other suggestions!? I’m also very hard to think about taking a completely different path because cars are actually my thing and rather the craftsman is! Self-employment also doesn’t come into question…opening up your own car dump nowadays is not easy! Car salesman wouldn’t be my thing at all! I’m really desperate at the moment what to do…it’s really difficult with 34 “again”. I have to start from scratch now, too. Thinking about what to do…I’m home for almost half a year now(I’m falling the ceiling on my head) MfG

Online shop with SCHNELLEM shipping
Hello together, I move vehicles of different ages and therefore I like to screw every now and then. My fleet does not contain exotics and the spare parts I obtain from the well-known shops such as AutoDoc, car parts24, department etc. Unfortunately, I have to notice, however, that their performance has decreased significantly. Just a few years ago, car parts24 was e.g. extremely fast in shipping or delivery. Regularly the ordered goods were delivered the next day. At AutoDoc, I regularly wait more than a week until you can comfortably send the parts, even if everything was “in stock” in the ordering process. In the meantime, this is so far that I have urgently needed spare parts delivered directly through a friendly car company through its parts dealer and then receive them in the afternoon of the same day. Of course, an online shop cannot be so fast, but it should not be long delivery times… Questions to you: Can you recommend me an online distributor that delivers reliably quickly? Many greetings!

Asbestos risk from braking old car?
Can you tell me how the asbestos risk is when a very old car is driving in front of me and brakes that say like from 1960 incredibly rarely one sees such a thing. Asbestos was then in the brake discs usually installed. Let’s say it was asbestos in it, I was behind this car at the traffic light and when it wanted to start driving I got a huge exhaust cloud, there is no asbestos in it or? and I also drove 10 minutes behind it and he braked often, but how much solves si Is the amount large or very low so harmless? I think hypochondriac and I’m crazy about it. Thank you very much for your help.
