  • Climate management leaks

The climate on my A3 didn’t work since the purchase. It was re-filled because of this, but it didn’t work again after a few days. Errors were found quickly. At the connection point between the capacitor and the refrigerant hose it ran out of poison green. Then I got the suitable seal at Audi and used it. But it’s still leaking. Are there typical sources of error or tricks? I also wonder why not use two bolts on the opposite side to connect them.

  • Patents in the automotive industry

Hello, since I come rather from the computer corner and constantly wonder about these extremely strange patent disputes between Apple and Samsung etc. (Design-Patent, aha! Wisch-Patent, aha!), then I ask myself: Something like ESP, ABS, Tempomat is after all a much more protective inventive good like the most trivial computer patents. So, someone invents ESP, and does not patent that?? Airbags, and does not patent that? ABS? Or does all this happen clandestinely , is patented and everyone keeps to it and every Chinese person pays the licensing costs? Why do you only hear reports about patent infringements from the computer field constantly, but nothing from the completely innovative automotive sector? Wouldn’t it be a found food for Toyota and the hybrid technology…they must have massive patents, but I don’t read anything about legal disputes. Google with “ESP patent infringement” only delivers crap …so I’m very surprised. Like the World is ticking… I don’t understand… vg, v77100

  • Signal jump probe at full speed “open loop”

Hello, I’ve been looking for a long time for an answer to my knowledge gap on the topic of lambda probe signal at Vollast. If the control range is left, i.e. at full speed or at a certain speed is transferred to the open loop, is driven to Knenfeld. Do jump probes then still deliver a meaningful signal, which is only no longer used for the control or do the probes run out? And if a signal is meaningful: How is the voltage then to deu I know the diagrams of Bosch etc.. Concrete case: a gas system is installed in my car. In the control range the long-term fuel trims are -7. At full load at high speeds the probe voltage is 0.67-0.76 v. According to the diagram this would be fat at around the Lambda 0.9 correct? Or can you not interpret this and it is just fat? Lambda 0.9 would be ok, if it is just fat and I can’t say how much would I have to reduce the gas pressure until I reach full speed. Ast direction lean go to know the transition and from then on grease minimally to Lambda 0.9. Bzw. can a broadband or titanium dioxide probe be retrofitted to be able to read out a control signal? Thanks already

  • Vehicle pulls to the right. Remedy desired.

Hello forum, Happy Easter to all of you first. I have the following problem: My vehicle, Bmw 2 Gran Tourer 218d, has the tendency to drift away on a straight track to the right. That makes it stronger: the faster I drive. The more the surface falls to the right The more gas I give. If uncoupled then minimally, when I give gas then the right dribble is very strong. In a long right curve it remains in the track. I have to be able to drive practically, the l I hit the curb too fast and slipped. It hit heavily, a big scratcher in the rim followed. After that I brought the car to amac, the track was set. There was no damage on the chassis. Later on with a Bmw handle, I was constantly steering/stopping to the left. 2 years ago I bought the vehicle in a strong left turn, in an almost 180 degrees u turn from the one with the right front wheel against the curb. r I objected to the right-hand drift, but the master did not find anything during the test drive. He drove quite slowly 100km/h and the track was quite straight Now my question, can it be that something was damaged with the kerb contact? Can you find this out? Can you align the track slightly to the left with a new lane setting in order to counteract this phenomenon? Thanks to you

  • Purchase of second-hand vehicles and brake discs

I bought a used car from the dealer – Volvo V40 T2 built in 2013 – and then had it examined by the ADAC. There it was found that the brake discs at the front and at the rear have entered. According to ADAC, this means that the brake discs (and blocks) must be replaced as soon as the brake pads are worn. I bought the car under the condition (in writing demonstrably) that the “brake system front- and rear- In addition, it was agreed in the binding order that a customer service – i.e. car should drive at least 10-15t km without having to replace anything on – will be carried out on the car before delivery. Now the question arises, how can I reasonably check whether the contractually assured minimum performance of the brakes is complied with. The ADAC has recommended that I have this measured by the dealer. Unfortunately, I have the fear, although it is a dealer, that the measurement “by mistake” is wrongly read. Of course, I have already thought about driving to the other dealer and having this examined there. However, since I fear unexpectedly high costs for this, I wanted to ask in this way whether you could tell me how much this matter should cost about and whether there are other possibilities of verification? In addition, I would like to hear your opinion/experience as to whether or not I can request a repair, i.e. replacement of the brake discs, from the dealer due to the brake discs in my case? With best regards Lulomann

  • Replacement of steering gears from Fa Autoteile Jakobs

Original or accessories ? My experience with an outdated steering gearbox at the beginning of December 2013 made my Mercedes W211 noises when steering, so to Mercedes it was determined that the steering was knocked out inside, an original steering cost 1800 euros. A familiar told me look at Ebay there sells the Fa car parts Jakob’s steering gearbox so I decided to buy one there 400 euros !heard good at.Lenkung ordered at Mercedes an appointment made old steering by the Übe Incorporation was made at Mercedes as it described the car parts of Jakob so servo pump , container cleaned and rinsed with oil , car at the end optically measured.Car picked up in the evening cracking was already happy away, unfortunately too early after about 100 km the container of the servo pump was empty again to Mercedes diagnosis steering was leaking so again appointment made and steering can happen again yes warranty is. g send,on the phone was told to me already in advance the 80% of the warranty cases to lead to a wrong installation to back.It passed 2 weeks when I asked for my steering it would be a test by car parts Jakobs go at least 6 weeks !!! Car stood at Mercedes dealer on the lifting platform asked me when finally the steering comb he needed the lifting platform what I can understand, after ample thinking I said to Mercedes they should have an Or iginal steering installation I also needed the vehicle urgently, after 2 days of vehicle finished and everything was OK.At the beginning of this week I called again at car parts Jakobs and it would have been in two days they had the test report of the warranty, after two days nothing on the third day then by mail of the test report warranty rejected the steering they were not flushed properly. The Aus und Einbaukosten in case of a warranty is not taken over by the warranty according to the GTC. Thinking your own opinion for me in the future there will only be original parts If that had happened to me at Mercedes and installation costs including optical measurement guarantee have been !!! I am now looking forward to other opinions.

  • Learn more about cars

Hello, I am 18 years old and have had my driver’s license for about a year. I’ve been interested in cars a lot lately and would like to learn more about their construction and the functions of the individual parts in the car, in order to be able to carry out minor repairs later on with my first car. The problem with me is that I don’t have a person in my family/friend circle who knows a lot about cars in a workshop or with cars. not much to look at our car, because my father is usually gone with the car and he would “kill me” if I started to take our car apart. My question is whether any of you can give me tips or advice where I can acquire this knowledge. LG

  • Start-up battery – does he bring what?

Hello guys, I had my A6 4B repaired the other day (gear belt, coupling, brakes renewed), but apparently my battery was jammed off so that it was empty the next day and I could not start the car. Since I am not an ADAC member I had to call acquaintances who then arrived quite late. So that did not happen again I searched for start-up devices on ebay and found the following:http://www.ebay.de/itm/251577174681?… according to my researches it is u m the PoweAll device distributed in the USA: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=powerall My question is now whether it’s worth buying such a thing or not? I think it’s all coming from China anyway. Is it useful?

  • Manufacturers and their special rights??

Servus people, How everything in the EU and with our state are regulated exactly like motor vehicle lighting in paragraphs. There is the German STVO § 19 para. 1 StVZO for the installation of lighting and signaling devices in motor vehicles. In addition, there is the ECE regulation R48/R87. In these regulations is also mandatory in which colors the lighting devices must have. Legal text here:https://eur-lex.europa.eu/…/? If you wish the Bmw m4 CSL driver with its “GT3 lighting” a pleasant further drive.. Really a crazy legislation in the country
