I hope I’m right here. I usually drive around the Meriva A Forum and the Käfer Forum. I need someone with a clue. Problem: I have a 30-year-old caravan. It has a 12V starter battery. So that you have light on the way. (The caravan has only a 7 pole connection and therefore no vehicle current from the towing vehicle) Now I bought a small fridge and a voltage converter. I tested this – works Now I would like to charge the battery in the caravan while driving and just operate the fridge. Car has 13 pin incl. continuous current from the battery. So I could convert the caravan to 13 pin and then have 12V in the trailer. Just how do I keep jamming? The voltage converter has pole terminals as a connection. I have no idea about this.

Ventilator running at Frost…
Hello together, I noticed earlier that my radiator fan was running while driving. It just got -4 degrees here and I was on the country road speedily. The water temperature is normal and no messages on the display. Everything is normal otherwise. Oh yes: Is a 2008 Fiat Bravo Diesel. Sounds strange to me. At these temperatures the fan should not run, shouldn’t it? What do you think about it? Thank you, jo

Second battery charging via cigarette ignitor
Good day ahead, am new here Does someone have a solution proposal for the following more special idea: I want to charge a small 12v 6-10Ah battery “somehow” via the cigarette lighter. Speed doesn’t matter. The Ziga slot has ~12v 10/15A max or? The main idea is that a device needs permanent power supply (so 12V min. 50/60Watt) and therefore the battery should not supply power when the car is off –> so the Ziga slot does not supply power, the supply is taken over from the battery When switching on, the battery should be recharged again (how fast does not play a role, especially the safety will survive) but the main feed should be taken over directly from the Ziga slot. If this does not work with the change between directly from the Ziga slot and the battery, can the load also go directly to the battery? Just thought it would be more gentle for the battery. Is there an all-in-one device (battery charger, if fully then off If not, then maybe from 2-3 components. I attachment is so the idea in a device, instead of the solar panel would be there the Ziga-Slot Best Thanks & Sorry if the description is not understandable

Does the rev indicator die out?
It seems that the rev indicator is slowly but surely disappearing. A few years ago, the cooling water indicator, which was first smoothed and later replaced by a blue and red lamp, seems to be no longer necessary or desired. Especially with Toyota, I notice that the Corolla has a mechanical rev indicator, the Corolla Cross and the Corolla Cross. the RAV4 no longer have one. The cockpit is digital there, but there is also no adjustment of the rev indicator anymore. Instead, there is this indicator which explains whether you just charge or discharge the battery. Do you still need the rev indicator at all? Or has the average driver ever really needed it? I can remember that my first two cars had no rev indicator. Wasn’t with bro-and-butter cars with simple motorization or only at an additional cost z u have. Later, every cashier model had the DZM. But do you really need it or was it just there? Do you still need it today? More and more automatic vehicles, where the gear change anyway automatically expires, make the search for the optimal switching time obsolete. Hybrids often regulate the speed independently of the driving speed. In switchcars, speed limiters ensure that the engine cannot be abused over a fee. Would you miss it or is it just a habit that it’s there? I don’t need it necessarily, but would it still be funny if it wasn’t there any more? However, if I were to drive a hybrid that controls the speed independently of the speed and I couldn’t take any influence, it wouldn’t be necessary for me anymore.

Refrigerant Climate analgesic: Does propane/butane work as R1234yf – replacement or refill?
Hello everyone, works (can’t – I can’t do anything, can’t – I didn’t ask “I would” – I ask exactly that) a propane/butan mixture (e.g. autogas, weeding gas …) a) as R1234yf – replacement gas, or can b) an existing R1234yf analge be refilled with it (“panned”? Background: This Thena here https://www.motor-talk.de/…/…eltemittel-zu-r134a-t6008957.html?… .Easyklima.at offers replacement fillings, but different for R134a and R1234yf. What is different? Most discussions always refer to R134a here. But I’m talking about R1234yf in this case. Does anyone have any experience with it? Thank you.

Brakes at the rear seem easy to grind since the change of pads and discs
The fuel consumption indicator seems to be about 1L higher and the brake discs in the rear are significantly hotter than the front after driving. When I drive between houses with an open window, however, I do not hear any grinding noise and there are no vibrations perceptible. Brake behaviour is wonderful overall. Car rolls even if there is a slight leakage. I mean, however, to hear a slight friction. There was nothing unusual about the installation. Saddle and fork still seem to be original and are already a bit finished. Must be changed soon. Can it be that the few hundred kilometers drive normal or not unusual? At least for non-original components (dishes and coverings of ATE)? The coverings seemed to me to be quite well equipped even when installed. Piston was turned back completely. Thanks and greeting

Which non-German vehicle manufacturers have a good spare parts supply?
Hello together, I’m thinking about getting a new vehicle. I like Japanese vehicles, however, have found that the spare parts market is much thinner than, for example, Mercedes or VW. If you break an exterior mirror or headlight you can simply buy one from the accessories for a German vehicle or go to the scrap yard, with a Toyota the only way usually leads only to the dealer. Since German vehicles susp ekt are, I think, to rely on another factory. Is there in your opinion a non-German vehicle manufacturer, who has a good spare parts supply?

Opel Frontera 4 years of service life how to start?
Hello together, I got a Opel Frontera B Bj 2001 from a friend and would like to get fit for the summer. Just find the car cool! Will pick up the next week with the trailer. The car stood about 4 years on a parking space outside, therefore there will be a lot to do. What would you do? What is definitely broken? I would have made all liquids, battery, tires, brakes first of all. Will the clutch be new to make? Can the clutch be new? you knock the engine into the ton or should I completely renew it? What should I not do at all / what do I have to observe? It looks rusty at least on the pictures that my acquaintance sent out quite well. This can of course look completely different from below. I don’t want a perfect car. I just want to take off the hatdtop in the summer and make small trips. Will only be a third car / project / screwdriver pass. Thanks in advance & greetings

100 Ah Charge battery in trailer – how?
Moin together, I have a question that my workshop has dismissed as impossible… We have an empty suitcase trailer, for this we bought a 680 liter tank, which is needed for my work. In the tank is a diaphragm pump installed, in addition a 100 Ah battery, which should supply the diaphragm pump with electricity. Tank, pump and battery are in a trailer, which does not hang continuously on the towing vehicle. Now – if possible – the battery i m Trailers are connected to the power lines in the trailer so that the battery in the trailer is charged during the journey over the towing vehicle and the 13-pole connection, however, there should not be a continuous current flowing through, so that the towing vehicle is not unloaded overnight, for example. I hope I have put it reasonably intelligible and here is someone who can tell me whether this works – and if so – how this can work. I thank you

Pick up the rear light and the indicator as an analog signal
Hello, I have a Mercedes-Benz Vito 110 CDI (VA), first registration 2023. A warning light beam is installed on the roof. Everything is correct according to § 52 StVZO. In the warning light beam there are also flashers, rear light and brake light integrated. In the beam integrated brake light must not be clamped in Germany, so this remains jammed. I would like to clamp the indicator and the final light. The warning light beam needs it as an analog input signal. o I pick up these signals? Nowadays even the lighting is running via CAN bus and I can imagine that the original control units of the vehicle don’t like it when I connect more consumers in parallel with the existing lights.
