  • Connection Rear-view monitor to electronics from rear windscreen wipers?

Hello, I have a Renault Kangoo in the van version and since I can’t use the rearview mirror because of a kind of partition, I would like to use a rearview camera with a monitor instead of the rearview mirror. I removed the rearview wiper and plan to mount the camera in the rear door at the resulting opening and “look out out”. So far so good. It would be great if I had the rearview camera electronically on the freed cables for the rear The connection consists of 3 single cables – the cable in the middle leads 12V while the other 2 on the left and right of it is equipped with 0 volts (mass?). I tried to connect the camera once but unfortunately it didn’t work. The voltage breaks immediately from 12.5 volts to 4.7 volts as soon as the camera is attached. I also tried the switch for the rear panel. I tried to find out as much as possible about the installation and wiring of the taillight wiper and found the attached pictures. Since Renault is a French brand, the colour codes of the cables are in French: * YES = Jaune = Yellow = Zündplus (switched plus) * NO = Noir = Black = Mass * GR = Gris = Grey = ? The corresponding component (backwind wiper) is in the first two pictures with the Number 211 marked and in the last picture with number 12. Does someone know each other here and could tell me if it is possible to operate the return camera to the electrical connection for the rear windscreen wiper, and if so, how to do it and what to consider? P.S.: The return camera is an AUTO-VOX TD2: https://www.amazon.de/…/B07DC46C5H

  • Fixed spot after rockfall still visible, normal?

At an autoglaswerkstatt I had a small, about 1mm large stone stroke in the windshield repaired. The place was rather shiny before, now it is closed (it is also quite smooth when you reach it) and rather so whitishly cloudy. That is, the place is still recognizable if you look closely. The mechanic told me that it would not be better and it is normal that there is always a small spot left, which you can still see. Is that actually normal? thought that you wouldn’t see anything more after the repair. But maybe I also got too dazzled by the advertising promises and supposed wonder repair sets, where it always looks like nothing had ever happened before. I don’t have any experiences or comparative values yet… probably someone else doesn’t notice it at all, but I already know that there was something there…

  • Switch batteries in series to bridge longer service life

Hello, need your advice: My brother often travels with his motorhome for a long time. So far he had a garage and a charger with pulse charge, so that the battery was always charged and was available. In the new apartment he has no power connection in the underground garage, therefore he wants – like in his motorhome – to turn 2 batteries in series, so that they last longer. What do you think about it? Is that possible, sensible? Are there any risks? What does the electronics say about it? Thanks for E Your Help Greetings Stronghold

  • Wear of ignition coils – are they getting worse or are they dying suddenly?

Hello, since I’ve been driving a petrol engine again, I wonder if ignition coils are slowly getting worse, or if they just die suddenly. A manufacturer (NGK) writes about this, possibly out of self-interest: “Like many other components of a vehicle, the ignition coil is subject to some wear. Their mileage is usually between 60,000 and 80,000 kilometers….” (Source: http://www.ngk.de/…/ ) My V8 now has about 76,000km down and I could just re-use 8 units. Then I would have something to screw again With around 20 euros per piece that would also be included as preventive maintenance. What experiences do you have with ignition coils and their wear behavior? Thank you!

  • 3D markings (plastic number plates)

Hello dear community, I would be interested to know if anyone of you has seen or even mounted the “new” signs on the net? I am interested in the signs for several reasons and even if it is obvious, none of these reasons is the 3D effect (because I think this effect is least perceived) :-). It may sound funny, but in the past I always have the white overhanging edge around the black outer edge of the label. with a black pen, because somehow it has always bothered me. The problem is that this black edge drawn by me has solved itself after a short time and I was allowed to brush it on again. With these plastic markings it looks like the outer edge is completely black, which would finally solve my “problem”. Another advantage in my eyes is that the letters and numbers on it are probably consistently black. I would only be interested to know if these signs have already been mounted by any of you. Do they have any disadvantages that are not so obvious? I’m still a bit skeptical about the design, I’ve always liked the proven aluminium signs except for the edge :-). I’ve never seen one live before, I’ve never seen one live before. I would say yes directly, no I don’t like, hm!? Order a precautionally I would hate to do for the price, but will hardly come around about it… Since I still have a bit (unfortunately too much) time until my new one is delivered, I hope to run over the way, otherwise I am curious if one of you may already have it.

  • Change windscreen wiper rubber

Hello together, I noticed with enthusiasm a few years ago that with the bar wipers rubber can change perfectly for small money. After I had changed the wiper again (with SWF wipers) I have to realize however that this is no longer possible there. First, the end caps can only be removed with bloody fingers and then the rubber lip and the spoiler is now a homogeneous rubber part. Is this now a particularly great e Idea of SWF or do all manufacturers do that now? Gruss Joerg

  • During the dome brakes? (1st course)

Good day! Had my first driving lesson last week! Has actually worked quite well, except for one situation: Especially in the city, when I have to pass very close to other vehicles, the stationary gas (1st course) is often too fast for me! So while I let go of the clutch in the 1st course, at the same time I press the brake? Or what do you do if the stationary gas is too much for you in certain situations?

  • Tyre repair without force

Hello, I just got a tire patched because a screw was stuck in the tread and the tire slowly lost air. The mechanic “vulcanized” me from the inside and reassembled the tire without balancing. On my question, if the wheel did not have to be balanced, he said that he would have marked the position of the outer weight and then put it there again. Is that right? In my opinion, the wheel should be balanced. t, as the focus is likely to change due to patching.

  • Replace Webasto heater

Hello, sometimes a question, ride Golf 6 Variant with ex factory installed Webasto auxiliary heating. My problem, the auxiliary heating did not jump on. Control unit let read out: error control unit from the auxiliary heating. Stand heating removed, disassembled and see as the board is plastered. There also no soldering helps. After tel. agreement with Webasto customer service ECU replacement from Webasto is not possible, since ex factory installed. After telephone call with Bosch service replacement board procurement is not possible, after the interview with VW Autohaus I get the control board as a spare part for 385, – but only with blower housing, is one unit. Now to my actual question:Can I get a heater from the internet, the same model. Will they run or are there problems with the software? My heater: Webasto Thermo Top VEVO which is from the internet is the same model and was also in VW v built. But don’t know if the ex factory was installed or retrofitted. mfG

  • Car battery (Why does the charger show 15.4 volts?)

Hello dear motor-talker:-) If there had been a question for all of you. I own a VW Polo, built in 2010, 1.4 l-engine, 86 hp. The vehicle has brought 105480 km behind it up to now. But now I have to get the battery back. It is a 12 volts:-) 44 Ah battery. It starts now already with very light minus straight in the morning only very tired. The starter is very difficult. Then I wanted to charge the battery overnight. So I have my electronic charger, the v On Lidl connected. It showed immediately after the connection that the battery is still half full. But to my surprise when I wanted to look again after the right after two hours, the charger interrupted the charge, the voltage indicator on the charger showed a voltage of 15.4 volts (???) and on the display was “Full”. So battery according to the charger again fully charged. I immediately wanted to check into the car if that is also so. However, the starter turned still The battery makes me manage my car for a long time already. It was already with the VW dealer. He carried out a so-called calm current measurement. That is 85 milliampere hours with my car. According to the dealer still within the scope of the tolerance. Can you maybe further help me? Greetings and thank you all who can say something about it.
