Hi, manual circuits like in the following videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYPyM-GjKfM can’t be found in European trucks. In this context, I wonder if the system is too complicated or too labor-intensive for European truckers. Which one of you has an idea or is familiar with history?

Proof of return / disposal of car batteries
The battery in my car has now blessed the time. When I bought this battery a few years ago I had not paid a deposit, because I had directly returned the defective in the trade on site. This to the background. Now I have bought online a new battery. There was of course a deposit included and I would like to get this refund. For this I need a proof of the disposal of the old battery. So I am with the defective battery to the dealer where I bought it. result: free withdrawal yes, but does not provide any proof that I have returned it! Then to the recycling yard. There it was said, one does not accept car batteries at all. Another dealer did not want to accept the battery at all: “That is not bought from us, we do not take it back!”. On the way back then still drive by the scrap metal. Also there you do not want car batteries. Now I have read something about the topic and as I understand it, every handler is he who also sells car batteries himself is obliged to take them back – no matter whether they were bought there or not – and also to issue a proof about it. I find this actually a cheekiness like “zicky” behaves in particular the retail trade, which also sells the things. Who is then contact person or there is an authority which supervises the compliance of the battery law?

White smoke after cold start
The following situation – CR-diesel – vehicle is always warm off – cold start a bit tough, does not start immediately, the longer service life, the more clearly – at 5 days service life 10sec-organs – with multiple annealing and thus longer runtime of the fuel pump better start – smell immediately after cold start – 1-2 minutes after cold start clearly white smoke, also smell – calms down a few minutes and later again – cooling water level in order – oil consumption not significant – injectors before 7000km with the Bosch-Serive controlled and allegedly fine. – slightly increased consumption (0.2-0.3l) – subjectively slight performance loss (but can also be mistaken) I have a clear assumption. I think this is also obvious. I would be interested in what you think. Whether something else can be considered.

Use electric vehicle battery energy for cooking, is that possible?
Nice evening, we operate mobile breakfast sales vehicles, where pastries and hot dishes are offered. In addition, there is a small hot air oven in the vehicle, which runs on gas. As we want to acquire a new vehicle soon, I would like to have the car as an electric vehicle. Now I asked myself whether it is possible by inverter or similar to use from the battery available in the vehicle energy for the oven or by additional battery. can be closed from a phase 230V, 6 – 8.5 kW, depending on the model. Is there any possibility? Unfortunately, I am not a specialist in electrics, but would like to know more about it.

Battery charging – without garage / power supply
Hello, I have a question. What possibilities are there if you want to recharge your car battery without it and without having your own garage or power connection? What new devices are there as an alternative? I have a good charger, but I just lack in the vicinity of the power connection. I could possibly charge with friends with an extension cable and charger in a parking lot, but that is then very cumbersome. My idea would be to connect a kind of battery (powerful bank) to the battery and then charge it. Are there good chargers that don’t need a power connection? Or is the capacity so large that it doesn’t work? Or are there public places where you can charge your car for a few hours for a few Euros? So power connections.

Liquid levels at minimum sufficient?
Hello guys, I was thinking today about whether it would be enough for liquids in the car if they were always only standing/replenished to a minimum? I don’t know how sensible this idea is, but after all, you would save a few kilos of weight in motorsports or earn more/less. Why should it be located in the middle between min and max or why not always fill up to max (oil, cooling fluid etc.)?

Open cell plugs how?
Hi, I got a no-name starter battery (BulletBatt) “gifted” from a buddy, should be quite right, because my just 2 year old Varta Blue Dynamic (was probably one year at the dealer (NOT Internet!) weaked, production date 2015) and the tester also shows “replace”. Anyway, the BulletBatt seems to be still in good condition according to the tester and is currently attached to the charger for reconditioning. After the procedure I would like to after the electrolyte t see, the battery has cell plugs, but without a slit or cross, but just smooth! How do I get them? I tried to grind it in with a suction cup to the valve, which “slips” through… Next idea would be with a Dremel either to mill a slit in or to make the cell plug turner on the front with a hot air dryer and then melt a slit in.

Strong consumers of AGM battery and charger
Hi guys, I have all kinds of stuff in the trunk of my Golf7 that pulls a lot of power. That’s why I usually hang the car on the charger once a week and in winter actually every day. I have a CTEK MXS 10 as a charger. Unfortunately, I don’t have a heater in my car and the car is outside. That’s why I already got such a small 230V heater last year. So far, however, I have stuck the supply line to the heating in the door. Unfortunately, it’s not so the Wah I have a 230V cigarette lighter part that could supply the heater. And since I will charge the car over night anyway, it would be a good way to have 12V permanently. The question would be whether it is a good idea. Above all, the car has an AGM battery and I have an AGM battery, especially because the pipes were relatively stiff at minus temperatures. An alternative would be a socket or 230V in the interior, but I didn’t want to do that anymore. always charge it on the AGM function of the charger. Can I supply the voltage converter and the heating so via the charger?

20 years old manual transmission: oil change yes or no?
What speaks for and what speaks against an oil change with a 20-year-old manual transmission? The transmission is tight and switches completely normal – except if it’s too hot outside, then the reverse movement is sometimes haggle. I can imagine that 20-year-old oil does not necessarily have the best characteristics anymore. On the other hand, an experienced car master told me that with such an old transmission no oil change is made anymore, because this removes the whole abrasion and it in What do the gear specialists mean among you?

12V coupling search name of the component
Servus! I’m about to renew my dashboard and want to cut out the cable salad a bit. My plan is to install a coupling/plug connection so that I can disconnect the electrics of the dashboard. It’s about 12 veins. Now I’m looking for the name of such a part, which can be installed as a block in a 12V circuit to “run” all connections.
