Hello, it’s about the pipe connector of an exhaust system. Precisely this type/form: Click With cheaper systems (like now on the “problem case” I have the nerve that this place is not dense. The pipe ends were cleanly ground or new to the pot, the distance of the separation joint is > 10 mm and the tightening moment (printed on the connector) was noticed. The pipe ends are round, so not pressed in/gelled. Nevertheless, it blows off there slightly. With the usual sealing mass (“exhaust month paste” I don’t have long-term experience. These are initially dense, but at some point caused by the condensation humidity & vibration. Even if I dry the mass with the hot air dryer before starting the engine. Are there other methods to seal it in the longer term? Except welding… I can’t find the entry anymore, but it was once soaked on a gauze with the “water glass” (= exhaust paste/kettle kit etc.) sworn… unfortunately I don’t get the name from that thing.

Why does Werkstatt want chassis number to create an offer?
Hi, I wanted an offer by email from a workshop, I indicated the brand Model Km-Stand year of construction of the vehicle, and of course which component it is. But the workshop wants the key number / chassis number or a photo of the vehicle license. Why does it need the one for an offer? At the most it is enough to send the codes 2.1 and 2.2 from the vehicle license, or ?

New starter battery, cheapest time of purchase in the year
Hello, need a new starter battery for a seasonal vehicle. I think that this is more expensive in autumn and winter due to higher demand than in spring/summer. Can this be confirmed in general? If so, I would wait until next spring.

Do big cars consume more?
Hello, I compared an E-Class (as a combi) s124 and an S-Class w140: At 120 km/h their consumption is exactly the same with 10.7 litres – although the S-Class has an automatic transmission (five-speed) and the E-Class has a five-speed transmission (which should actually be more economical).https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/…/ or https://mb-w140.de The air resistance of the 300 TE and the S-Class w140 is quite similar: http://rc.opelgt.org/indexcw.php can an S-Class at a constant 120 have the same consumption as a much smaller combination nowadays? Engine does not start after ESP repair
I removed the ESP of my 230er Ducato and brought it to the Bosch service to repair. The background was that the pump was leaking strongly on the gas lever, Diesel was already running out. New seals, sockets and a new lifting disc were installed, as it probably already had inlet tracks. So the pump was installed again and nothing happens! The thing doesn’t make a mux at all. Lines have been vented to x-ten times and almost 2 batteries are unarranged. But diesel arrives at the injection nozzles. Where can the error now lie? Can it be that the pump wheel is twisted by 1 revolution? Or is the pump back in output position after 1 complete revolution and it doesn’t matter how often you turn it as long as the locking of the thorn fits? Can it be that the lifting disc has been twisted by 180 degrees? Would the Bosch service have had to notice this on the test bench?

Hard to drive, or OT laber!?
A today’s car, with PNRD (1,2,…) gearbox, if you give the gas and drive constantly fast on the highway, the car also switches into the higher gears and you have to give little gas. If an E. car has no gearbox and you want to drive 10 hours at 130 km/h, is it not very exhausting for the body you have to step through the gas constantly???

TÜV date in 12/2017 instead of 6/2018 useful?
Hello, I drive an A6, 2.5 TDI multitronic, first class 6/2001, approx. 170 tkm. Wg. of the new TÜV exhaust gas test (from 1/2018) : is it useful to prefer the TÜV date by 6 months? My consideration is : – whether the A6 creates this new test as a exhaust gas? – and besides, if the new exhaust gas test is not available, there are quite high costs (if prices then spare parts costs of 1.5 – 1.7 T€ , without wage) – think also that many cars do not pass the exhaust gas test – so I would not have 2 years, then the A6 is almost 19 years old What do you think about it? Rejoice me about your answers. With greetings!

Or does it need no ECU at all? the motor should use a switch up and down can someone give me light in the dark? on ebay there are the dinger already from 17Euronen with rope and motor
