Hello! I wanted to ask you what your experiences with “cheap” catalysts are like. At a well-known auction house on the Internet (E****) there are some offers of Kats around 100 euros. A qualitatively acceptable cat of a well-known manufacturer would cost about twice on the Internet. If one comes with such a cheap part probably over the HU? This is only in 1 1/4 year with the vehicle, but the regular error message of the car (P0420) is so slowly annoying. Would you get for the sale of the old cat and where do you sell such a part best? Thank you in advance for your answers!

What is your opinion about used cars with high mileage?
Hello, I’ve always been looking for up to 125tkm. Maintenance, condition etc is clear, important, I also look at it. But now there are vehicles that have 180tkm, 200tkm and more down. Whether the mostly short distance/long distance has been driven, can rarely be understood 100%. A car, which I liked well, has 187tkm down. But checkbook maintained and clean, relatively young Bj. With less km I would have to look at an older one in the same budget. I guess I can also have a long time pleasure with cars with longer mileage without bigger problems, or if it is better to look at a slightly lower mileage. Know friends, who swear on as low mileage as possible, another even said, if the more has run, then all the better. Because cheaper and that will have many wear parts new. However, in the same breath he has an older BMW with high mileage and only problems. Probably he does not have on the War How do you see the topic? PS: It’s a gasoline tanker.

Webasto Thermo Top Evo 5 RV, NO Co2 setting possible!? / Hot water heating Xpedfhrzg.
Hello, I’m looking for a solution to the Co2 adjustment height adjustment on a Webasto Thermo Top Evo5 RV. The described process in the workshop manual of the said heating unfortunately does not work, intended or unwanted by Webasto? The process is as follows: CO2 adjustment NOTE After the repair of the heater and the change of the dosing pump a check of the adjustment of the CO2 value should be done. The CO2 adjustment is carried out with Webasto Thermo Test PC-Diagnosis. On the factory side, the heater with a CO2 value is optimally adjusted for operation at heights between 0 and 1000m via NHN. A permanent operation above 1000m via NHN can lead to strong smoke and soot formation. In order to prevent a failure of the device and danger, an adjustment of the CO2 should be made in consultation with Webasto. NOTE The CO2 measurement and adjustment must be carried out in the heating device operating state full load (display in Webasto Thermo Test: Full Load). The CO2 value is corrected in the selection point 2.7.1. CO2 adjustment of the Webasto Thermo Test PC diagnosis. The CO2 content is measured about 20mm before the end of the exhaust gas outlet inside the exhaust pipe with a CO2 tester (e.g. MSI). The following table shows the nominal CO2 adjustment value in the combustion operation full load in the exhaust gas outlet. 8.3 Circulation pump The power consumption is approx. 12W at a nominal volume current of 450l/h. Fig. 802 Installation layers Circulation pump U4847 Econ Height [m over NHN] Nominal CO2 adjustment value at 20°C Ambient temperature [Vol.-%] 4kW 5kW 0 8,9 9,5 500 9,5 10,1 1000 10,0 10,7 The WTT V 3.8 diagnostic program breaks the heating and I go to CO2 measurement (under previous activation of heating operation approx.5 minutes), the process s ofort with flame rupture, or error off. — The control unit is not in the appropriate mode — see picture, I try it with start via Co2 measurement, I produce the message — the device is not in the corresponding mode— otherwise I could not find any way to get to the Co2 measurement, what do the full professionals mean among you, I see there what not, what could I do to solve the problem? Thank you in advance for EURE help!!!

How much CO2 emissions from vehicles really?
The result is sobering. In Germany, the annual mileage of all vehicles is 736 million km for all land vehicles together.https://www.kba.de/…/verkehr_in_kilometres_node.html Of this, the proportion of cars is overwhelmingly high, roughly as high as that of all lorries. If one assumes an average consumption of 12L/100km for all these vehicles (is already high In other countries, especially China and the USA, which have the highest emissions, this is not much different, even slightly less than for us. In other words, the 3% share of road transport (the share of aircraft is not even one seventh of it: 15% of the total CO2 emissions) are just over 247,000t per year (with an average of 2.8kg CO2/litre fuel). The Earth’s atmosphere has a weight of 5.15 · 10 high 18 kg, i.e. a little over 5 billion tons of gas.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/earth atmosphere Of this, the share of CO2 is only 0.04%, i.e. 206 trillion tons of CO2 in the atmosphere. With a man-made CO2 emission of 35 billion tons, this is only 0.017% per year, in 100 years with a constant emissions of wa 1.7% caused by humans and of which only 3% by road vehicles, i.e. only 0.05% in 100 years. So many times to the facts. Cars are not climate killers, but their share is far too small. And even all the CO2 caused by humans is ridiculously little, not worth mentioning with the proportion of just 1.7% of the total CO2 in the atmosphere, estimated at 100 years. Compared to this, an annual geogenic (i.e. natural) annual CO2 emissions of 97% are compared. The total human share is only 3% per year.https://www.focus.de/wissen/klima/tid-8638/discussion_aid_234329.html And it has been shown that a higher CO2 share leads to higher CO2 consumption in the plant world, and again a balance between emissions and consumption. Also, the annual average temperatures have been falling again for about 15 years (since 2004). At the time of the Romans 2000 years ago, these were significantly higher than today. Therefore, the Romans could Eu ropa also conquer in sandals, up to Scotland.

How high is the charging current for the car battery?
Hello friends! Starting from the fact that an 80 Ah battery is installed in a car, how high is there actually the charging current? Differently asked: With a vehicle, whose starter only clicks at the start process, it takes as long as the battery is fully charged again. This should not be an exact statement now. Just roughly crossed the thumb. Greetings from europe’s east!

Increased material load by Domstrebe?
Hello, in this post it is explained that a dome strut improves driving behaviour but can also lead to material wear.https://www.t-online.de/…/…trebe-improved-das-driving behaviour.html What does this look like in practice? Which parts are burdened and how bad is this in practice? By this I mean not in the everyday life of a racing car but of an ordinary moving car. Greeting Stefan

Why no uniform e-car fast charging technology (stations)
I don’t understand: Tesla has its own fast charging stations, Renault/Nissan has another fast charging technology like VW/BMW. Why didn’t the car industry manage to set uniform standards? Now there are only a few fast charging stations, and then they are not compatible with each other. As if I could only fill up with my V1.0 car at selected petrol stations.

Old engine oil
Have you had another 5L canister Castrol Edge 0W20 VW 50800 in the basement, here was an inspection in January 2021, and we took about 4.5 litres. Half a litre in it, would want to refill something, but: is the oil still good? The tips in the net that the oil should be clear and not cloudy are always mega horny. Who fills the oil from the container in a clear container to check this out? In the oil container itself can’t see that. Half a litre doesn’t make the cabbage fat, but would like to know. New thread, because in the present just another topic

Years old, but unused spare parts found – still usable?
Hello guys, during a clean-up and exit campaign I found spare parts that I bought a few years ago for my VW Bora. I don’t own the car for a long time. I never used the parts and they are all still original packed, however they have been lying around since August or September 2014(!). I would love to sell the stuff, but I don’t know if the parts could have become unusable due to age alone or how I am ignorant Here is a list of the things I found: – A set of Ate disc brake pads for the rear axle – A set of Ate disc brake pads for the front axle – A set of Ate brake discs for the rear axle – A set of Ate brake discs for the front axle All the parts listed are, as I said, still in the unopened sales packaging and were in a flat all the time. So they were not exposed to any significant weather conditions. In addition, I found four spark plugs from Bosch, which I bought for my VW Bora, but never installed. But they have been taken out of the box. Unfortunately, I don’t know how old they are. Probably they are similar old, so around the nine years. Do you think the parts can be sorted out just because they are so old? Or could they still be usable? If so, can I check that somehow as a total layman? I look forward to your help. someone interested, I sold my VW Bora about 2016 cheaply, after he had suffered a transmission damage. I bought a used but (allegedly) outdated transmission from a private person over the Internet, which was installed in a small workshop. The mechanic then found that the new old transmission also had a damage, which I of course was allowed to overtake myself during a test drive. Another gearbox or a overhaul would have I can’t afford it, so I threw the car away to an exporter with the damage for small change.

Who has experience with Johann Rudi’s engine reprocessing with reinforced pistons? Engine damage PUMA-M
Hello together, After an engine total damage (piston burned through) of a 2.2l Peugeot Boxer engine (equal to Ford Transit PUMA engine) I am looking for a reliable engine processor, which installs reinforced pistons (dicker piston bottom). I found it here in the forum of 2014 and in the bay. There is a KFz workshop Johann Rudi in Westerberg / Rhineland, which offers such works. However, she is apparently not a member of one of the Innungen or the Engine repair rings – Association of Engine Repair Companies (VMI) or – Gütegemeinschaft der Motorrepairsbetriebe e.V. (GMI) Who already has their own experience with the workshop and the there conversion/repair of a Ford Transit 2.2l Puma engine on reinforced pistons? If this is possible with the Ford Transit, this should also be possible with the Peugeot Boxer, since the engines are supposedly identical. That is a bit far away from me but I don’t have any engine repair work. The company in Westerberg also offers a pick-up service for the vehicle, which makes the whole thing interesting in addition. I would be happy if someone with their own experience would come forward.
