  • Tips Wanted: Cover engine with cool wind (split saving) ?!

Hello, Some vehicles, for example, use devices that allow the engine to be protected from wind in cold conditions (automatic locking system on the radiator grille) and thus reach its operating temperature faster. Certainly, I am not the only one who comes up with the idea that try on your own car and wanted to inquire about your experience. What experiences have you had with covering the cooler for the cold season? Fuel saving effect ? Mfg bluskoda

  • Weight distribution against understeers in curve input

Hello friends, after all I’ve seen, both rear and front thrusters push over the front axle if you approach a curve too quickly. I suspect that the mass inertia of the entire vehicle plays in and the weight distribution is less relevant. What I ask myself is based on this: Does this behavior change if you put more weight on the VA? This is likely to increase the pressure on the front tyres, which results in more grip. VG 008t

  • Check torque wrench for function

Hello I have a question about whether you can test whether the torque clasp triggers at the correct nm number. Background: With my car the brakes have been re-made in a workshop. After 50km I then pulled the nuts with the torque clasp. 90nm are manufacturer specifications. Has also triggered at 90nm. I then increased to 120nm for fun. I triggered again. 130nm increased again. Only when I set to 140nm it did not trigger any more (cracked ). Or just pull the works too tight ?

  • Full braking with new discs / blockers

Hi together, I just had to do a full braking with my nigel-new, yesterday mounted brakes (about 100km down), (from about 80km/h, wet road, ABS has immediately grasped, braking to a standstill without standing on the brake afterwards, discs and blocks by Zimmermann). Since I have always heard that a full braking for new brakes is not good at all but have just read that it is bullshit because the discs are heat-treated and s o what can be more than easy, I was happy to clarify the topic – what’s right now? Can the system have taken a damage? How can I check it now? (whether the discs have broken or similar) Or is a full braking from 200km/h + required for a damage? Was I interested, also independent of my case. VG

  • Difference of perfect/complete and imperfect/incomplete combustion

Hi people I hope you can help me=) online and in the literature I find contradictory statements about this :Z there is a difference between incomplete and imperfect or complete and perfect combustion, meanwhile I know that there is a difference complete combustion is sufficient oxygen available to oxidize the hydrocarbons to carbon dioxide and water… in the incomplete and imperfect, additional substances are created, e.g. carbon monoxide…because there is too little oxygen to completely oxidize the hydrocarbons… merci=)

  • Where does the purple edge or glimmer of LED light throw come from?

Hello, I have already been addressed to the Lila Schimmer or edge of the light cone by my LED headlights several times. Unfortunately, I couldn’t give a suitable explanation for this so far, except, “because the LED headlights are”. Google has so far thrown nothing out of me. Can anyone explain this to me here? At Xenon, a violet light points to a soon-to-be life. Here, however, it is only about the edge of the light cone.

  • Question to engine builders / engineers using example VW engine

Why are such large openings for the coolant flow/cooling circuit cast in cylinder heads (here at Volkswagen VR6) and parallel to this in the engine block below when the flow speed of the coolant is reduced by the use of a cylinder head seal (ZKD, here one of Victor Reinz) in such a measure that pressure bumps in the ZKD occur in high heat and the coolant inevitably pushes under the seal due to the pressure ??? Are the reductions in the ZK D intention to make the head ect. /stick seals/ventiles not so hot? What would happen if the existing openings were taken over by the cylinder head and engine block in the cylinder head seal 1:1? Can anyone contribute to this to the enlightenment? Thank you Greetings furniture box

  • Incorporating car parts

Hello and good day, for the current occasion one question concerns me. And this is about the following: In addition to my main job I trade online in small style with spare parts and tires, partly also work colleagues buy from me and pick up the parts at home. The whole runs under the small entrepreneur regulation as a side trade. Now a good friend asked me if I could install the sold parts to him, or if I could help him with the installation. the born screwdriver, in addition, he lacks the space or the possibility to do so. I, on the other hand, have learned space and time the profession of the car-mechanic. I have to say, for my own vehicles I have a tire-monger and balancing machine and a small lifting platform at home in the garage (vehicle-specific things I can have in the garage). My question, can I install the sold parts in my spare time for free, so without any consideration or not? Thank you already Once.

  • What is the reason why motorcycle brake discs are generally extremely expensive?

Since I need new brake discs for my mopped, I did some research. In terms of prices, I already hit something. 450 EUR for 2 brand brake discs for a small all-world 600. For a Porsche 911, a set of Bosch brake discs costs 100 EUR less. The Porsche has the triple power and six times the weight. For a C-Class, there are Bosch discs for just 25 EUR the piece. Are there purely economic reasons for these high prices or can the technis If so, what are the reasons?

  • What kind of corossive covering is that?

I would like to know what kind of stubborn white lining is that is on all sorts of parts on my mopped. I tried to polish it off with kerosene and an electric toothbrush, but that didn’t work. Before I use all sorts of means now, I would like to know what kind of corrosion it is, i.e. which element oxidizes to what, and then possibly with a special remedy to proceed purposefully. elag came within half a year by driving in the rain, probably sometime with salt participation. Half a year ago all these parts looked like factory new.
