Although we have been waiting since 08.01.2013 for our 3.2l Ranger 6-speed switch (Limited version) which should have been delivered originally in 04/2013, but the time before it actually comes from South Africa, we would like to use it to ask which already gained experience: Are defects or weak points already known, if yes, what kind? In advance thank you! Greeting T

Battery for 2007 Ranger
Hello, I have a 2007 Ranger XLT Limited (143 hp, 2.5l, diesel) and no idea what kind of battery is in it. Somehow I can’t see the label (not without expanding it) and I found nothing in the manual. Well… and since it’s been ticking around after 2-3 days of service, it’s probably time to exchange it before the winter! Can someone tell me how much Ah should have the good piece! Thank you & Greeting Peter

What’s wrong with my four-wheel??
Hei, today I had the pleasure of driving my ranger “right” test, 40cm of fresh snow and on the other side of the garden is the stallion. So pure into the ranger and go. Man does the fun, but when the stallion was on it, empty with 125kg of own weight the car started to get problems in advance driving. Mhhhm Allrad was in and Low, should be no problem. After I got out and ran around the car I see the front left of the tire engulfed. Is the Nor Shouldn’t a “all-wheel” turn with “all-rows”?? So what’s broken??

Ford Ranger XLT Limited from 2010
Hello for now, I plan for the future to buy an SUV. This leads to the fact that I have been able to find various magazines, inform myself here in the forum and already have a Ford Kuga test. Now I have come through, pure chance, with an offer from a Ford dealer who sells a ranger. I looked at the pictures and was quite impressed. Now it is that I would have the means in not too long time to buy me another car. But ask me. I really do, what does the Ranger devour in the maintenance? I would like to note that I have always been a fan of America, which is not really difficult as an American, and during my countless visits over there the pickups there always felt very attractive and exciting for me. I also like the Ford brand, because so far I have only been able to gain good experience with this brand. But I am not necessarily brand faithful, so I drove a C-Class for 9 years. What I really like What would such a car consume in maintenance? How would such cars tend to be classified in insurance? And what about the tax? These are now very general questions, but also very important. Cost of maintenance, especially for the tires, the offer I have seen, had 245/70 on 16″ rims. Do the generally all-year tires on it or summer tires? How high are the prices for new tires? I like cars that mic h already at first glance fascinating. But I also want to be able to entertain this fascination. I never worshiped my cars, but I still enjoyed every kilometer. When I had looked at some SUVs, I was impressed by the sitting position. I found this offer even more impressive now. Would also ask, how well can I move in everyday life? How are your experiences there? Is the Ford too murky? Is its dimensions bursting every dimension, what can be considered As I said, I could buy it at some point, and probably I would also have the necessary financial resources for the maintenance. But as always, when it comes to money, you also want to know how expensive the whole thing comes to you. Since I can count myself among the lucky ones who don’t have it very far to work in the day, I also don’t get to a lot of kilometers a year. However, I never have any interest in that anyway. I’d just like to know what kind of experience you’ve had and if you could give me some tips ? Mfg

Ranger XLT 5-speed, clutch(?) clapping
I drive a Ford-Ranger XLT with manual transmission here in the Philippines, i.e. the version identical to the Mazda-B. In idle and decoupled condition, I have a loud flap-rear, which reminds me of the flapping of wrongly set valves. If I step the clutch, the noise is almost gone. I can usually step the clutch several times and at some point after the repeated re-coupling the roughness is gone. achen, however, I have the problem that at higher speeds (from about 2700 revolutions) there are strong vibrations from the engine/gear range, so I can hardly drive faster than 90 kmh because of fear of consequential damage. At 90 mmh this sounds as if I had forgotten to switch and would still drive in the second gear. Any idea? Clutch, Ausruecklager …. If outreach bearings, how can I change the Ausruecklager? Do I have to expand the gear, The car has now run 80,000 km, has been in my possession for a year and so far did not cause any problems on a leaky clutch hydraulics. In particular, it does not consume oil and starts very well. The ‘friendly’ is very friendly, but has no idea what that could be. But the ‘zero clue’ does not say anything, that is the standard with Filipinos to which it should be desired. I thank you in advance. Guenther Davao Ci ty, Philippines, Planet Earth, 33.9 °C

Repair instructions clamping gas train Maverick
Hello, here was already discussed about the clamping gas, here the repair instructions: The cause of the clamping gas train is an abortion on which the throttle valve remains attached, this one has to be removed. I cleaned the throttle valve today and attached two pictures to you. One has to first remove the hose from the air mass meter to the throttle valve, to this one simply screws the hose clamp on. At the back of the suction tube is a artificial nipple, on which is a small the hose that comes from the vent of the valve cover, which is also carefully removed. Now you can see the throttle valve and move with the gas train, open it to 100% and clamp it securely, otherwise there are AUA fingers. At the edge, where the throttle valve is in closed condition, a deposit has formed, at which the flap clamps. This deposit must be removed. The best is to take the throttle valve cleaner from Würth and spray the deposits. with not going off, one can sand away with 800er Schmirgelpapier. To do this, one should cover the intake channel under the throttle flap with a lint-free (!) cloth, which can be watered with the cleaner, so that no Schmirgelparticles can fall into the intake tract. Most of all, the flap clamps at the places near the rotation axis. Then simply screw everything together again and finished. Is a good 1/4 to 1/2 h work. Greeting Tom

Timing belt is still on it, but jibs are broken
Hello together, I own a Ford Ranger Bj 2005 109hp and have the following problem: Stand in the traffic jam and the engine goes off. Then a few noises in the engine compartment and out of the mouse! In the workshop it was called then timing belts torn > engine damage we do not repair and we make vacation. Okay car to me and a friend asked if he can look down. Timing belt cover down, timing belts sit on it and a few teeth have broken away and lie there. My question: Can it be, there s I have had pig again, since the timing belt is still on it and “only drives a side agregate”, like zb the fuel pump, or similar?? Which of you can help me? Ranger XLT gear damage
Hello, I have a Ranger XLT year 04 with approx. 60Tkm. Had unfortunately a gearbox damage (5th and reverse gears broken – I don’t know yet more precisely). The dealer tried for a week to get out the price for a new gearbox – the broken gearbox seems to him no longer repairable. Unfortunately, the vehicle is still 700km away from my place of residence …. Well, now my questions: 1. Gear damage at 60TKm. Had this already someone or is the gearbox a weak 2nd Kullanz at Ford. What is the willingness of Ford to take a chance. Is there any experience with you? Thank you for any answers. Greetings, Bruno

Heated exterior mirrors
Unfortunately, the Mav does not have a heated outdoor mirror as standard and, to my knowledge, there was no optional mirror. Even if it’s just midsummer, it’s also the season when I’m going to miss this useful “extra” as I had it in my Mondeo and my sample. In the bay, funny enough, there are a lot of heatable mirrors and mirror glasses for the Mav:http://cgi.ebay.de/…/150458844317?… Is the wire harness for the mirror heating already in place? sometimes someone like that installed? Hope for answers, unfortunately there is always quite little going on here 🙁 Greetings of the Hoogie
