Hello, I had the right winter tires installed at an extra cost when buying my Crv in September last year instead of the standard tyres. That was also OK….it’s Pirelli Zero 225/60 18″ on the Orginalalulul wheels Now I’m thinking about what I do in the summer half-year. I was at a tyre dealer who told me the following: Especially many off-road cars and SUV drivers ride with winter tyres all year round. What speaks for it: No cost / work to reassemble No cost for summer bikes When you drive into the terrain or on a muddy meadow you usually get along much better than with the pure summer tyres. What speaks for it: The tire uses more of course at high temperatures. More sporty driving / braking is not as good as with summer tyres. From the costs the bill goes up, rather after 40,000 km I buy a new set of winter tyres than now a new set of summer tyres and then even new winter tyres when needed. The statement of the tyre dealer made me think about: “With the current pure summer tires you don’t come up well with the concept of turning around with the front wheels?

Brake discs CR-V front
Hello Together, about the lack of quality of the Berms disks has been written here too. With my CR-V, RD9, Bj 2005, 2,2L Diesel, the disks have also “greased” and were then replaced by HONDA at 40,000 km. Now it is time again at 75,000. Since I knew the “problem” of FORD, I immediately got brake disks from the accessories (TEXTAR). So far so well, now I have found that the disks installed by HONDA as replacement (with 40,000) have 300 mm diameter and all the disks found in the accessory only 282 mm. The brake pads from the accessories have the same dimensions as the originals. The consequence is that the pads from the “smaller” retrofit disc from the accessory trade about 10 mm survive / have no contact to the brake disk. Logically, this does not work at all! I suspect that in the conversion action of HONDA also the brake saddle holder / carrier in relation to the larger disk has been solved by Who knows about My ABE or My ABE?

3 l oil at 3,300 km mileage
Hello Together, my wife bought a CRV Exe 2.0 petroler about 8 weeks ago. Even after almost 1,000 km the oil lamp lit up for the first time. I thought maybe just missed oil at the delivery, of course I checked it at the time, and did not refill the first litre. In the meantime my wife drove about 3,500 km and I already tipped in 3 litres. On advice of a friendly car master I have always recorded the filled-in quantity and the mileage accurately, but I have not yet reported to the Honda WS, because he meant I only have a chance if I can prove when and how many km I had to refill what amount of oil. I also have the impression that the engine does not have the indicated performance, especially on the mountain it is very weak. In addition, the exhaust is already totally lost. Oil loss I can not otherwise notice. My question: How should I react to the workshop contract, because I want to take care of the service instruction, because the engine is not the indicated power, especially on the mountain it is very weak. In addition, I have experience with handling the factory in North Germany, but I can also bring it to the factory shop in South Germany, because I can make a good deal with the factory.

Winter
So now it’s finally really winter and I can run my CR-V (Bj. 09) immediately according to the species. On the weekend on icy and snow-covered road have not really progressed. At a traffic light stop on a climb the vehicles before me have drifted quite. With my Honda given a short gas, short spin the front wheels, autom. switch the rear wheels and already went on with us. Suuupperr! Un that with Conti all year tire. The winter tyres probably not really worth it. At least as long the Conti are new.

CR-V Diesel or Gasoline?
hello, I’m new here in the forum, would like to greet you all with this! a car change is on, my 130er defender is unfortunately no longer really needed because of job change. the land rover is my great love but every day driving through wien limits the joy but something. so he has to go away. so I have found now for CR-V. I think he fulfills all my requirements best. however, it has to be a used one, more is not in. so the old model, I am quite well with 10 to 12 thousand, depending on the equipment. and motor! and here we are now at the actual topic: petrol or diesel? I drive about 25,000km per year in a balanced mix of long/short distances. rare, but still hanger operation. I know the 4-speed automatic from the first CR-V, which swallows my opinion after too much performance, so I will probably take this myself into the hand. so what do you say?

Windscreen wipers
Hello, at my CR-V I got the complete windscreen wiper on warranty about two months ago, because this noise made as if the stick or any eyelets/joints had been eliminated. The sound came however only after a windscreen wiper use of about 15 minutes, whereby then already varied, sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. After I now have the same noises again, I left from the dealer – my car stood there to get a new left outside mirror on guarantee 🙂 – the wiper blades to prevent a possible misdiagnosis on my part. Misindication, it is raining again, windscreen wiper is needed and already after a few minutes again these horrible noises again – new disc wiper – new DPF – – new exterior mirror, because this one has to change the known vibration because of air noises, – forgotten and polar screwdriver in the rear area, – new rear shock absorbers, – after about 12 TKM and 5 months: – the outside mirrors have to be sealed off because of air noises, and have to let off now become known and to the day, because I have to let down again due to the fact and to the fact.

Brown spots in the sky
Hello Forum By chance, I discovered the following days: At the roof sky (driver’s side at the handle ( central ), driver’s side also at the centre of the handle, at the middle of the electric roller blind, passenger side at the side of the sun visor, passenger side at the rear of the handle centred are rust-brown discolorations. It looks as if one had spilled tea or coffee, only not quite as dark, to lighten the middle. Like old moisture stains on mattress. Has anyone ever noticed this in his CRV. Absolute non-smoking vehicle, 18 months old, is always very well maintained. Can be the humidity, the event. about the seals of the glass panorama roof penetrates. Regarding the humidity, the air conditioning is regularly switched on or opened. Have already had several new cars, but I don’t know this problem. What can it be. Will it be up to HH….

CR-V Hybrid error message AWD/motor
Hello together After not once a month and 1100 km came the error message – AWD – . In the manual read that only the front wheels are driven. Since we were just on a country road, OK, slowly continued. A short time later the “motor lamp” lit up. Vehicle then we drove slowly to the H-workshop. Had ever such an advertisement or problems? Nice greetings from W

Cleft at CR-V 07
Hello again to all new CR-V owners, have my CR-V 07 since 07.07, after 2 days I put the vehicle my dealer again. Reason: The door gap at the driver’s door down to the A-pillar or fender was almost zero, i.e. when the door was open no sheet paper was to be plugged through. ! It was quickly fixed by the dealer! (Set up) In retrospect however, I have to notice this almost all gap-mase and especially depth differences (mirror triangle, fenders, doors and C) It’s not so expensive for me to say that these differences in such important things (desing) from AUSEN are not really fitting together. It just makes the Honda CR-V 07 very negative for professionals (car body builder/mechanic) looking closely. I think I’m talking about it again with my dealer. For me personally very sad and sad because I’m enthusiastic about Honda and my CR-V m g* Greeting Timo

Comparison test CR-V
The other day at the gas station, while my car was being washed, I turned to the new car newspaper. SUVs were tested for comparison. To make it short: the CR-V occupied the penultimate place even before the Dacia!!! First, of course, was the Tiguan, 2nd of the Q5, then the X1 (why the devil was not compared to the X3?), the GLK, the Kuga, best Japanese became the Mazda CX-7, Hyundai and Kia somewhere in the midfield, Freeländer also somewhere in the squares, relatively far ahead of the Quashkai +2 ( Why this and not the X-trail?), the Outlander, which is not usually rated so great, and 3rd last became the Subaru Forester. Ok, the CR-V certainly has the weakest all-wheel, but the most spacious and thought-out body, a good chassis and a good engine, an overcomplete standard equipment, which he did not deserve. Why the Subaru so far back? The car with the best all-wheel and the great boxer diesel. I had no time to read all the details, but it was called in the F azit, the CR-V is colourless, and I always thought cars were painted.
