  • Honda Hornet 600, Choke Problems

Hello Mopped-experts. With the Hornet 600 (Bj 02) my wife “acts” the Choke since the latest no longer. That means there is no speed increase, and the engine runs even with fully drawn Choke at low speed. The start is also a bit repetitive. (Does only with a lot of gas). What ́s the problem? Can it be the hot weather? Did something hang out?

  • VT500C stutters from 4000 rpm

Last week, she took over my father’s VT500C (PC08) after about 1 year of service. She was driven relatively little in the last few years, but often waited in a workshop. Overall, she only took down almost 15000 km. The problem, which she apparently has since last summer, is the following: She starts quite well (if ONLY with a full choke, otherwise she likes to go out at the traffic light) and runs quite quietly in idle. Gas takes her well and she spins a As soon as I drive, she zits around from about 3500-4000 rpm and has ignition oscillations (as I would describe it as layman at least), stutters something and doesn’t want to turn up any further. Sometimes she then pulls something up again in short turns, but I don’t actually get much higher than 4500 rpm. I looked around something, often it seems to be the ignition system/second coil in such cases. In my opinion, it should then not be higher than 4000 in idle mode. The ignition system doesn’t care about the load on the engine, does it not? Have also tried to measure the ignition coils, but unfortunately have to find out that my multimeter does not pack. Will that still do if I can possibly get a suitable one. Is the error to look for in the gasoline supply? Low pressure hose seems to be intact, I can’t say anything about petrol hose and the carburetors (except that the front leak is…). mand help Many greetings

  • CBR 600 FS for both headlamps passing beam???

Hi people I need help again. I’m looking for a conversion kit or tips and tricks to have both dipped-beam and main-beam in a CBR 600 in both headlights. Has anyone ever seen this before? Does anyone know a website on the subject? Look forward to every answer. Greetings Cico

  • CB400 too little power, benchmark for compression?

Hello, after 5 years I dug up my CB400 (Bj ’79) again. The engine has the 42hp camshaft. After oil change, oil filter change, air filter and candle change as well as a carburettor cleaning I have now driven with it several hundred kilometers and realize that it definitely has too little power. The candles are both uniformly deer brown. Top speed (according to Tacho) is about 145km/h, GPS says about 140km/h – that seems to me quite little. It would have to be 165km/h after Tacho. 140 has already entered the 27hp version. My compression test with warm engine and fully open throttle flaps for both cylinders resulted quite exactly 7,0 bar. this thread -> Compression CB400 on the topic I have already seenMy questions: – If 7.5 bar are still i.o., is it then 7,0 bar also? – How much bar copression pressure should it actually be? – Piston rings were replaced before a few 1000km – why ka nn it still lie? Greetings Martin

  • What should be considered when buying a ST1100?

Hello, I am new here and greet you warmly. A short info about me, I make my moped driver’s license in a year and 4 months. Motorcycles which I like are those that look like the ST1100 (Pan European). I also got into this by the way ^^ Now I come to my question. I want to get a ST1100 after passing the driving licence test and this on 34hp throttles. My question is what I consider with a ST1100 with Kardan when buying m wess, where possible flaws lie or what is to be considered with Kardan drive in general, after all, I want with my father and our family friends also sometimes into the Pfalz. I look forward to many answers and hope her forgives a “Greenhorn” without driving license these questions, even if it takes more than a year. Greeting Patick08 PS: Another question would be, which motorcycle could you recommend as a tourer what looks like the ST1100?

  • Make my cardboard in the spring.Honda or Suzuki as 1 bike?

Good morning dear biker fraction. Since I take my motorcycle cardboard in the spring of next year, I am looking for bikes to get a rough presentation of what I expect from the price. After a longer search I realized about one thing, it should either become a Honda CBR 600 o. 700 or one in the Kubik class of Suzuki. What can you recommend to me, as a beginner for a Honda? Should already be a sport mashiene. B in 27 years that means that I can drive already open yes? I would be very happy about tips and suggestions from you. MfG: Stephan

  • When is a motorcycle really too old?

Hello amigos, I will finally make my motorcycle driver’s license very soon. I want to buy a beautiful athlete as soon as possible. Since my budget as a student is not as high I have looked at some machines from 1985-1999 which are affordable for me. But I am not so sure if I can and should certainly exceed the 200km/h mark with a machine that is as old as I myself. I like two machines the most: 1. Hon because CBR 600F first registration 1989 KM-Stand: 43000 the seller said the bike would have been driven only as a hobby vehicle and mostly also on longer distances and before the beginning of this motorcycle season 700€ were invested in new tires, brake pads, chain etc.. The bike also looks really great and HU runs still until 07.2010. 2. Kawasaki ZXR 400 first registration 1992 KM-Stand: the motorcycle 42000 / replacement engine 17000 The motorcycle had a gear damage and an replacement engine was used build and the cylinder head seal has been changed. Tires are almost new and still has Tüv until 08/2010. Which would you recommend to me and are the bikes too old maybe? How much would you pay for the motorcycles? I thank you for your answers mfg Barrok

  • Oil leak: Honda CB 400 N

Hello people, after my machine is running again, however, I notice another problem, if not too bad: On the right engine/gear cover a little oil comes out of the top when driving. That means it is not much quantity-wise. Something comes out, so that the gear box gets a bit wet up. After longer / more splashy ride the oil then runs down and drips on the right exhaust manifold. Where it then smokes off. One of the engine cover screws was a I put them on again and then started again: the spilling amount of oil was now less, but there was still something left. Is there anything to do? Do you need to seal something? I am as always grateful for help and advice! Greetings, Felix

  • Hornet is not “right”

Moin the gentlemen, since I have increased a Hornet600 Bj03 and unfortunately so my starting difficulties I wanted to turn to you once, in the hope that you can help me. Recently I noticed at occasions that the battery is at the end, which I then changed (was from the plant ). Then full of anticipation for the moped threw and found that I had to let the candles soak up because of all the choke and co. So candles out, let dry out. n, back in, running, short test drive at Nieselwetter, back in the garage, happy. After a week of coming back home Mallorca want to turn around and again the phenomenon that it doesn’t really work on. It runs however as soon as I touch the gas grip or let the clutch come off immediately as if I had made the side stand out. It also doesn’t really sound “sat” as I should describe it, not as if it’s hot fire from The candles looked really good, or do you think I’d rather build new ones in? Other ideas? I don’t have any fun on this thing anymore, I bought them and just annoyed =(

  • The first time battery charging, testing etc. need help 🙂

Hello together. Have at the moment probs. with my dear…. Adac meant alternator broken. Before I wanted to change the controller because this probably gets broken more often and the probability is higher this is affected. I also wanted to charge the battery. For me the first time I do something like this. Did they measured before… Result according to voltage meter : when setting 20V DC the battery shows 9,8 V is the lot? Is it worth it? If yes how long. The charger shows that it is 3/4 full. Or already scrap tire? Did the motorcycle still have to start at this value or rather not? Is it about a Honda cb1 400 NC27 Thanks
