  • XL 500 S tyres and rims

Särvus Leutz, finally eats so far, I finally have a motorcycle! have a Honda XL 500 S! the thing is not in a top condition, have also nit really a lot of coal so I take time and furniture it over the winter! the question was now to me, I will almost always be on the road, whether I should not make road tires on it?! front of the tires as well as so new… someone knows himself with road tires on such a mopped? what do you get registered without probs? further en what is it like with Supermoto? looks great but is it also very expensive?! for that I need other rims, there are some with the normal drum brakes, what do you need for a TÜV, how expensive is that, where do you get it? so I think normal road tires should not be a bigger problem, other rims probably rather otherwise I will have to do everything on the bike: brakes, complete engine maintenance (but really great), I need a seat, maybe a new Ta nk (is a hole in it, either welding or new)…..has someone tips to restore the motorcycle, addresses to spare parts?! am grateful for everything! mfg YanRam

  • Oil changes & small things… Cost? Honda CBR600F PC35

Hi, I’d be interested in what an oil change at a (Honda) dealer can cost? Somehow, with my new Honda (when I look into the oil glass) the oil is over-full. Of course, if it is on the main stand. So the glass is full up to the top. Then I’d still be interested in what I have to dismantle everything to get to the lid of the cooling water and where I can control the appropriate level of filling? What can a setting of the machine on my person at (Honda) What should a brake change of the front brake cost? Which oil is especially recommended for the Honda? Greeting gaby886

  • 600 vs. 1000s – experience on controllability

Hello colleagues, I am interested in your experience of driving 600 and 1000 machines… At the moment I am driving a CBR 600 F, which I have chosen for myself as a beginner model. I am also very satisfied with the machine – but at some point I would like to develop myself on another machine over time. For example, I have already tested a few more 600 machines (Kawasaki, Triumph, CBR 600 RR) and must admit that, for example, e Daytona or RR – for me seen – are much more “beautiful” to drive and I would afterwards choose one of the above mentioned machines as an entry-level model (purchase decision for CBR 600 F was primarily the price and the “egg-legging woolen milk sow”. Also, I have already tested a 1000s, but honestly say that I had so much respect that I did not really feel the standard extra boost during the test drive. So now however to my contribution incentive : I intend to change at some point (i.e. further 600s, but then more sporty or 1000s -> stay with the “super athletes” and for this contribution the main argument should only be the risk of motorcycling of 600s vs. 1000s!! In other words, let us ignore the individual human character, we almost exclusively do not ride on the race track, ride quite carefully and do not put it on it and either 600s or 1000s (so no middle thing in Rich) So, if we just ignore the small secondary arguments… A colleague says, in some ways, that a 600 is more aggressive (i.e. more dangerous) due to the higher constant “speed” obligation; I just say “overpowering” is simply too easy/fast on a 1000er etc. Concretely: If I only look at the risk of driving in terms of PS/cubic performance, is driving with a 1000er much more risky???An answer in the direction “… then d If you don’t ride a motorcycle at all …” doesn’t help me for my thoughts… For helpful comments I thank you and wish you a nice start to the season!

  • Need your help! 🙂

Hello dear motorcycle community! In advance: I am a total layman! It’s about the following: My dad helped a friend to move and in his garage he saw a tire + axle and a loose tire (take a lot of front and rear wheel) in the corner and addressed it. He said he didn’t need it anymore, but would be too busy and lazy to take care of it. Now my father has the one in the garage and I can take care of it I have here in the appendix a couple of Bi I’d like to know if there’s a tendency to earn some money and what I’d get a lot of money for. It’s all about my parents and I’d stop by soon and check the exact data. The only info I got was that it’s probably parts of a Honda machine. Besides, it’s probably Metzeler tires, Perfect Me 77 or something. Then there’s 4.00-18,64.H (can that be?) Well, I don’t think the tires in themselves have anything to do with it anymore. would give (except maybe to the broken drift or so ), but the whole about it maybe yes. Would be very happy about some answers and would like to even, if I would already find a customer here (contact could be clarified by email and so ) mfg Caner

  • Planned acquisition of CBF600SA

Hello. I’ve been looking around the bicycle market for a long time and looking for a lot and comparing I came to the CBF600. Is basically exactly what I imagined: tours suitable, more than 50ps, half-covering, ABS and what is most important: it seems to be affordable. I thought of a used from 2004-2006 with up to 20,000 km on the clock. Should be to get for 3k€. How about tachomanipulation on the device? Is there any possibility of a manipulation What do I have to pay attention to when buying? Would be quite grateful for a few tips on the subject. Will my first own mopped and I am rather inexperienced. Further the time of buying, the season for this year is over anyway. But in winter the prices of the needed should be the most bearable. Does anyone have any experience about this? Thx Vorab.

  • VFR 800 FI no longer starts at once

My VFR 800 (RC46, 1999) ran 2 years and 10,000 km reliably, now it doesn’t start at once anymore. – Gasoline pump buzzes when you turn on ignition + RUN – starter spins the engine vigorously, battery good – No ignitions – spark plugs unscrewed > light petrol-moist, ignition spark ok That’s the first VFR with injection. With carburetor I would now be completely perplexed, so I guess on an injection problem: – Petrol pressure? – ECU? What is the most obvious Ursac? who has some experience of how to best circle the problem?

  • Transalp handlebars flutter after steering head bearing change

Hello, now I have my driver’s license since the beginning of the year and am proud owner of “Bärbel” a 97 Honda Transalp PD10. Together we have brought this year so far about 7000km and an accident together. Unfortunately about a month ago the steering head bearing made itself noticeable in the form of a rest point in the straight run. Especially when pressing in curves very unpleasant. So today I broke everything together with the screwdriver of my trust and exchanged the bearings. After six hours of screwing I just turned a test round and it is absolutely sch***e! My handlebar flutter at 30Kmh so bad that I probably look like drunk from behind. From about 100Kmh it is “okey” but not as before. Tyre pressure is normal at 2 bar, was even worse. Now 2.5 bar on it. Since I have undergone some modifications here a list to facilitate the troubleshooting. I am grateful for every advice that solves the problem again. -new Re if Heidenau Scout 60 (changed directly after purchase) -Acerbis hand protectors (came with it today) -Wilbers progressive springs front (for about 3 months) -Lenk head bearing (today) -Underbody protection 5mm aluminium (for 4 months) -Great maintenance (after purchase) -Chain kit (after purchase) -Touring disc (for 4 months) -Running performance around 26tKm Dear greetings

  • VF750C Magna RC43 after long service life……

Hello together. I need your help please. I have a VF750C magna RC 43 which has been standing for health reasons for several years now. Has run original only 12tkm. The machine starts, but not all four cylinders run correctly. The front two don’t seem to ignite properly, also not really hot. I made spark plugs new. I did not drive, of course, did the machine only in the stand on. Sure there is some glued or so… there is a way with a cleaner, without disassembly the whole machine, to solve that again…? throttle valve cleaner or gasoline additive…? Or maybe also helps a careful warm-up…? I am already grateful for every tip. Thank you and greeting…!

  • CBR 954RR SC50 jerks and stutters in the low speed range

Hello, yesterday after a long online search I finally got a SC50. The motorcycle was visually very well there with its 35k mileage in contrast to other online ads. During the test drive before the purchase the following problem occurred. I had to pick the motorcycle out of the housing settlement first to come to the country where I could heat a bit. In the city traffic it is noticeable that the Honda in the low speed range (1000-300/min) moderately strongly ‘jumps’. I think that she doesn’t go smoothly forward but rather jerks like a car that is about to choke off. From 4000/min the motorcycle catches itself and pretends that never had been anything. I didn’t think much about it at first because I still wanted to test how the motorcycle behaves when there are more turns on it. Arriving on the country road I then gave more stuff and was thrilled. The motorcycle did exactly what it was supposed to do. No swallowing, no stot tern. Ordinary clean acceleration as if never had been anything. Again on the way back to the seller I had the same problem. With every start, slowly rolling around without a pulled clutch it stutters and jerks. Whether it was the first or second gear. The machine makes life difficult in the lower speed range. Back to the seller I then set him to talk. He had assured me that this stuttering and jerking of which I am speaking is completely normal with the machine. Grades on 4-cylinders and motorcycles with such a high performance and power. They are probably not designed to drive around with such low speeds and revolutions. He meant that it can be that it is a bit more doller than it should, but that is probably due to the age and the mileage of the bike. Since I have no idea of motorcycles and I am technically not well placed I accepted it so. I still tried to persuade him to feel guilty about it. I took the bike with me and drove home 80km. The best ride of my life! I love this bike. Only the problem with the lower speed range makes me manage. Can an expert help me there? Something like that already experienced or seen? Thank you!
