  • Newbie – Motorcycle Consulting 😉

Hi guys! I’m still 23 years old and will be driving my driver’s license for the open at the beginning of 2009. Since I don’t have any experience with motorcycles yet, I’ve bumblebeed a bissl in all forums and manufacturer sites and I’ve stuck on a machine that I absolutely “in love” with. Anyway, purely optically this beast is exactly my case. I’m talking about the CBR1000RR from Honda. Visually beautiful, as I’ve read quite well with performance This is what I would like to do with this machine: use in good and “bad” weather. Tours through Franconian Switzerland (very popular area, close to me), trips to nearby abroad, so to speak to Austria, France, Holland, Switzerland etc. It should be able to do so. Now my questions to you professionals: 1. Is the machine for me as absolutely bl utigen beginner suitable? I know here the opinions will go quite apart, but I want to hear something about it. (I still have to say that I am financially net soo arg well equipped to buy me before again a machine and then switch to what scheites etc.) 2. Is the maschiene for my above mentioned requirements also ok? 3. Does someone have such a part and if so, how is he satisfied with it? 4. How high is the financial effort with such a mas chine? (wearing parts etc.) For your answers I thank you already now! Greetings from my Middle Franconian homeland Mittelfranken 😉 Christian by the way… the one on the attached picture I meant 😉

  • CBF600 ABS, 0km., for 5000,-€

I found a motorcycle at a dealer’s store. So I went into the store. The machine looks really new, but it’s a day registration from 2004. I think the price is good, but what can you do wrong, e.g. what do you have to pay attention to. After all, the motorcycle has been there for 5 years. Simmerrings? Carburettor? Brake fluid? Tires? What do you say about it? Dealer gives 0.5 years dealer warranty.

  • Honda CBX 550 – technical questions

Hi I recently bought a Honda CBX 550. She stood 12 years ago and ran the nicthmore. I half disassembled the part,… and wanted to test if the engine was running today. Although it hasn’t run yet, but there have been some misfires. My guess is that the spark plug (4-cylinder engine) might have been wrongly plugged on the spark plugs. I have extra numbered it, which was just that somehow illogical: right above the engine block si The 4 connectors are horizontal in the same direction as the engine block. In addition, the spark plug plugs are numbered 1-4 from left to right. So I think it would be logical if the left outer spark plug plug also comes to the left cylinder, which is next to the next cylinder,… But the strange thing is that the spark plugs have been completely confused with the cylinders: (cylinders and plugs ha) I am numbered from left to right from 1-4) Plug 1 -> Cylinder 1 Plug 2 -> Cylinder 4 Plug 3 -> Cylinder 2 Plug 4 -> Cylinder 3 How do the plugs belong right now?

  • Brake & clutch fluid

I’m preparing an old VF 500. But brake fluid and clutch fluid are empty. But doesn’t want to fill an expensive brake/coupling fluid immediately. Can I just try it (not for the right driving that’s already clear) also fill oil?? Thanks already in advance! Greetz

  • Honda CB400N Starting difficulties

Hello everyone, I’m new here and I’m looking for advice on my Honda’s starting difficulties. I’ve had an old CB400N year 1982 without tuv. But I’m a newbie on the motorcycle and I need your help now. After the cold start it runs great and round. However, if you do it after a few minutes and want to start again afterwards, it doesn’t go on anymore. I look forward to your advice and say thank you Sue in advance.

  • Honda Cbr 900rr vs Zx9r Wheelie

Hey, this thread contains exactly the usual question. With which motorcycle is it harder to close a wheelie? It’s because I want to have a fast (and big bike = 900 ccm < ), but that does not immediately go up in the front; if I turn on the gas.So I'm not talking about any clutch games where you let the clutch jump, but simply when I give gas it should NOT go up in the front (= 1.Which is better suited then? 2. Or can you like me I recommend my bikes? At the beginning of course I thought about the R1 but when I see videos where it rises from 4000 rpm, I can only shake my head... 3.What about the Gixxer as 750? Don't blame me if it's the wrong forum; Merry Christmas =)

  • ‘Travel’ package for the CBF600

Hello, I’m wearing the idea of getting a new CBF600. Now I’ve heard from the dealer that it’s the ‘Travel’ set for 600,-. Then there are two side suitcases 29l and a topcase. Although I can’t imagine driving around with topcase at all (it seems to me like with my old scooter… I don’t know..) but it’s worth considering. Therefore, my question: does anyone know here if you can get a helmet in the ‘smaller’ side suitcase? Does it make any difference? pt sense to buy original Honda accessories or do it also commercial suitcase sets? What about just taking fabric saddle bags (something from Louis or something) for cost reasons? Is this a stupid idea or an alternative?
