  • Engine code I 30

Hello, I would like to install new spark plugs at my I 30 PDE T-GDI 140 hp first registration 01.2020. According to approval 1349, AET. Now I am asked for the engine code and would like to know where I find it. Thank you in advance for any tips.

  • Hyundai i30N with DKG (automatic)

Hello, I like the I30N very much. All around a successful package at a very attractive price and 5 years warranty. Hyundai is also top in reliability. But unfortunately the I30N does not have an automatic. However, this is a K.O.-criterium for me. A few months ago there was a rumor that there should be the i30N also with a DKG in 2019. Then the i30N would be very interesting. Is there something new? GTI, Megane RS and in autumn also the Focus ST are available with automatic. Renault also gives 5 years warranty, but only up to 100T kilometers. That’s too short for me. With Ford you get at least at extra cost even 7 years warranty. Is probably at the price level of Megane RS. That would be OK. VW just takes completely excessive moon prices at high susceptibility and is thus virtually out.

  • Hyundai i30 ailing topic coupling rods

Hello, have my i30 now approx. 5 years. Year of construction = January 2009. I have already used 2x coupling rods right and left front. Need now a set of coupling rods back. Air conditioning was broken last year. I think this was my first and last Hyundai, now enough for me. My Fiat Tipo was 19 years old but he didn’t need coupling rods. I really want to write Hyundai a complaint letter.

  • Standard-class Gen5W Navigation

Hello dear people. I have a new i30 (model Advantage 2025), the installed Navi is a “Standard Class Gen5”. I have to say I don’t know a Navi that has disappointed me as much as this one. I don’t want to deal with individual things here, except maybe that you almost have to stop in city traffic until the next instruction comes, you are overburdened very quickly. But if you Google and ask for which Navy is installed at the i30 you get the answer that a TomTom program for the whole Hyundai fleet is installed. But it’s not like that. Why? = The Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) has opted for the reliable mapping specialist TomTom (TOM2) as the supplier of its maps and real-time traffic information for the entire HMG fleet in Europe. In the coming years, millions of HMG vehicles will be equipped with TomTom’s technology as standard. As previously the drivers of a Genesis, now all Hyundai will also benefit – and Kia customers from the high-quality maps of TomTom that support navigation in the dashboard and functions for automated level two driving= My next question would be now: can I insist on getting a TomTom? What do you think? P.S. I’m the first time here, so please indulge

  • Decrease by accident

Hello dear ones, unfortunately it happened today. I drove and someone who wanted to turn left took the lead and probably thought “I can do it”. I then went full into the irons and banged into the side of the guy. The accident opponent had three others in the car and they claimed that I waved them in with light horn and hand signs. For the police I am now the stupid and it is attributed to me a partial debt since I was alone and no witnesses have e that it wasn’t like that. Now my whole front has to be renewed. So much for the story. What about the insurance? When I reported the damage to the alliance, I was told directly that I will rise. I have liability SF1 & comprehensive SF1. I wanted to know from the lady immediately what classification I then have to expect and what it costs me at the end of the month. This question is very important for me, since I decide whether to drive the car. currently I pay 102€ a month Do you know what I can expect? The staff simply can’t tell me. Thanks in advance for the answers. Thank you and thank you Chris

  • Winter complete wheels: Internet or retailers?

Hello, for my new i30 PDE (2019) I still need winter bikes, fortunately without sensors, the local Hyundai dealer here has made me a rather mediocre offer for Hankook on steel rim, per tire approx. 120 Euro. Now I have seen that you can also order on the Internet cheap complete bikes, since I would like to have other tyres anyway (Nokian WR D4, which does not offer Hyundai). On giga tyres a steel rim with Nokian 65R15 costs just 90 Euro per bike. Now the question : have you had good experiences there? Unfortunately you read mixed reports, partly also inadequately balanced tires, etc. I would mount the wheels myself on the vehicle. Where do you buy your wheels, and which winter tires do you leave on it?

  • I need tires for my i30 PD

Hey dear ones. I need your opinion/recommendation. I have now bought an i30 PD YES with 1.4 T-GDI 140PS engine. As first tires are Michelin Energy Saver + in 205/55/R16. I feel this however as unbearable loud. Now I need something else! What glues 😛 Should I continue to put on summer + winter tires? On the 16 customs duties would then come the winter tires and for summer tires I would then buy 17 or 18 inch rims. OR In Germany we will probably k Have a real winter more. Maybe it would even offer to put on all-year tires again. Or? Here is of course that the rolling noise of the tires is so LEISE HOW POSSIBLE. Seriously, that has highest priority. What do you say? Thank you and best regards. Chris

  • Battery discharge warning

Hello, I’m new here and have a technical question about the Navi of the i30 PDe’s. I have the i30er in the Passion variant. However, without the Navi, only with the 5″ color display. I have now built in a Navi, that also comes from an i30 PDe. So the Navi what the higher equipment have. The connections are almost the same for the radio, however after about 10 min driving always comes the warning that the system should be operated only with running engine, otherwise a battery discharge threatens. I know it’s because of a PIN, which gives the radio a signal, whether the engine is on or not. My question would be now, if there is a possibility that you can’t get this message anymore? All workshops and Hyundai themselves don’t know how to fix this. But I don’t want to believe that so correctly??. I hope someone can help me.

  • Fuel runs from tank

Hi, I drive the i30 FDH with the 1.4 liter engine. So far, I have always filled the fuel station with brim. If the fuel gun triggered the first time I still got another 5-6 liters into the tank. Even with such a brimful tank, no petrol has run out anywhere. I have now done this since the re-purchase of the vehicle. Recently (for a few months) petrol runs out of the tank (drips) if I start to refuel immediately after the first release of the fuel gun. The petrol runs out in the upper part of the tank. I don’t know where it ends. I can’t see that, even if I’m under the car. I’ve already looked at the area of the petrol pump from above; nothing has leaked out there. Everything around the petrol pump is dry and there are no traces of liquid to be seen. If I refuel about 5 liters less, i.e. 5 liters before the pump triggers, then everything is good and no petrol comes out of the tank. . Does anyone have any idea where the petrol could leak? Above the tank there is an activated carbon tank and there are 3 steam hoses attached. (see appendix). What is the task of such an activated carbon tank? Could the petrol leak there?
