  • Kia Ceed SW or Hyundai i30 Kombi as a family?

We want to buy a combi as a family with 2 children. We drive about 10-15,000km per year, 90% motorway. After a long research we now have the following selection: A) KIA Ceed SW as “Edition 30/Nightline” (EU import from CZ) on 17-inch rims, 140 hp 1.5 T-GDI equipment different from Hyundai: metallic paint 7 years / 150,000 KM warranty B) Hyundai i30 Combi as N-Line (German dealer, day registration) on 18-inch rims, 140 hp 1.5 T-GDI MILD hybrid equipment, different from K IA: dead angle warning, cross traffic warning, emergency call function, electrically adjustable seats, digital cockpit, uni-painting, alarm system 5 years / unlimited KM warranty Both cars are quite comprehensively equipped (full LED, parking aid front/back, camera, Navi, seat heating, electric mirror, emergency brake assistant, Lane-Assist, etc.) and are new at about 23,000 Eur incl. transfer. Finally they come from the same group and have the same base. It is also an EU import (which doesn’t matter for the warranty). I think the KIA is slightly more optical and it has 2 years longer warranty and no (possibly vulnerable) MILD hybrid. At Hyundai I heard about a “harder chassis” and also the trunk is a little smaller/bevelled and the interior seemed a little higher at the KIA. Also because of the 18-inch rims I have worries, because we especially have high comfort on the back of the car. f Langstrecken is important. What would you decide to do? Or would you take it all over again? Skoda and Co actually fall out, because (with similar equipment) significantly more expensive and budget is at max. 25,000 Eur.

  • Steering wheel remote control China Radio

Hello dear people, I have a question about the connection for the steering wheel remote control. This is now my second China radio for the I30 and it differs from the first radio, as far as the ISO connection, which goes directly to the radio. On the picture it is noticed that I have KEY1 and KEY2 separately on the wire harness, but I can not connect it anywhere. On my old radio these were connected to a canbus adapter, which unfortunately no longer fits to the current radio. The dealer can’t or doesn’t want to help me. I should just connect these KEY cables, just where they don’t tell me. Anyway, I’m sure it won’t work without a Canbus adapter or? I hope you can help me.

  • TPMS error Hyundai i30N

Good morning in the round, I currently have a little woe with my new car and thought, I ask here, if someone knows so much and can help me. I drive the Hyundai i30N performance for about 3 weeks now. 1.5 weeks ago I had the winter tires put on it. I got the car only with summer tires and since I thought I was clever, I used the winter tires from the old car (Kia cee’d GT track) (Felgen are approved, tire size can do it, all so far ok). Now to my problem: Since I have the winter tires on it, the pressure indicator does not work. At first, nothing, but the cockpit said “Display only while driving”. As far as so good, a little longer driven for learning and zack: I get an error message from the TPMS/RDKS. The lamp flashes (after 1-2 minutes no blinking but continuous lights) and the cockpit shows at the point where I should see the pressures „TPMS(Trying pressure control system) on. the workshop I was already 2 times to the test, they probably find nothing, have put everything back again and told me that the sensors would be generally intact. Air pressure on the tires are of course also checked and ok. When starting the car the error comes directly again. They now no longer know what it is and would next exchange the sensors, if nevertheless broken (all 4?). Now my question in the round: Does one know what this is about with the error message now? Me Is it possible that the sensors that worked with the Kia are not compatible with Hyundai? At the Kia I did not get any pressures as a numerical value, but only an indication of the tyre in question if it was not true. Maybe the sensors are not suitable for the Hyundai and the direct display? Or is there a much simpler solution? I am rather a layman with cars and I want the Ä rger save, for 300€+ all sensors to change and then sit back in the car with the same error… Sorry for the long text for a relatively “small” topic, I hope there is all the information you need. A big thank you to everyone here!! LG ck-13

  • Engine control lights and jerks

Hello, today my friend drove with my car and from about 50 kmh started to flash the engine control light and the car jerks strongly while driving. He then checked the oil level and it was dust-dry… I did not notice that he lost oil somewhere. He then read out the car and he shows errors in the 1 cylinder with several misfires. I bring it to the workshop tomorrow. He now has nearly 116.000km down and the last inspection was with 104,000km. I I’m really afraid it might be a motor damage. Do you have any ideas what it might be? Thank you!

  • Need your opinion on a (almost) new Hyundai CRDI

Hello together, I’m thinking about buying me a Hyundai after 10 years of golf V now. Who can tell me if the purchase of a diesel or gasoline would be more worthwhile in my case? Day after day (except weekends): mornings about 5km city traffic and about 25km highway…… evenings then the same again. Do I break the Diesel/DPF during these short distances? Should I rather buy a gasoline ? 1000 Thanks in advance !! obiwan

  • New I30cw – very satisfied but a question

I have been driving a brand new i30cw with the big diesel and in full equipment for two weeks now. If there is simply a good track, processing and material quality have improved again significantly. Compared to its predecessor of 2010, almost everything has improved. Hyundai has done a lot of work! If there is now an automatic spacer for cruise control, it would be the perfect car in its class. Stop, one thing still bothers me: the lack of brightness of the Reversing lights and interior lighting. Is there a replacement with LEDs and if so, where?

  • Fuel filter for I30 FD year 2009

Hello, please help me: I just came from my free workshop and delivered our I30 for inspection. Now the workshop master of the I30 FD Bj. 2009 would have a permanent fuel filter. He would not get a filter individually, only in combination with the petrol pump. In the Hyundais inspection scope the change of the fuel filter is indicated at 55,000 km. I find the fuel filter in the net without any problems. How is it changed now: single or in combination with P Thank you.

  • For the first time I30 diesel, what should you watch out for ?

Moin moin, I wanted to buy tomorrow an I30,1,4l 90PS Diesel BJ 2014 ,runn he 90000 , there are so things / error sources on which I should pay special attention ? I read a report where the clutch was through after 100K km , is there something about it or. how long hold yours already ? I have never driven a diesel up to now a week a rental car (Golf Kombi 150PS ) , what should I watch ? So the golf is meanwhile 4x drunk to me that he more gas or. quiet times a I would like to take a lower gear at the turn: ( How is the turbo from the durability? I drive about 200000km a year, way to work about, 30km almost only country road, think the engine should easily create 200k km? How is the heating? So the engine needs a whole corner longer than a petrol engine until it gets warm… Maybe you have some tips for me 🙂

  • Absolutely overpriced wear parts at Hyundai?

Moin together, I had my Hyundai i30 in the workshop today. Since all wiper blades had to be changed, I asked the staff on site to exchange them with them immediately. I was quite aware that this is of course a little more expensive than if I order them myself. However, I did not expect an invoice of 130.95 € only for the wiper blades. On demand, I was told that the wear parts for “favorable cars” are always more expensive and these are at Hyundai are generally very high. I don’t even pay such a price with my Mercedes. Do I get so wrong with my price idea or could you confirm my price feeling? Have you ever had the wiper blades changed directly with Hyundai and what did you pay? Could you confirm that the wear parts at Hyundai are “generally” expensive? What about oil for example? Many greetings
