My buddy had a slight accident about 10 weeks ago. A woman drove into his standing car against the bumper. Not bad, but the Plaskik was pressed in, the paint was heavily damaged on 15 cm. I had a similar accident with the identical vehicle years ago and the damage amounted to 1200,- Euro. The lady probably had no time and left a note with the phone number. In my opinion already borderline, because the police consider this probably as a driving escape. Jed After a week, the woman announced that she had overcompensated with the insurance and didn’t pay. After that, the insurance quickly registered with him and sent him an expert commissioned by the insurance company. Unfortunately, he agreed to this procedure. In any case, he received 180,- Euro !!! as compensation from the insurance company afterwards. Understandably, he was now quite pissed off. Reason was probably that the reason was that a higher compensation would represent an increase in the value of the car. Admittedly, the car is a 20-year-old Volvo, but technically in a top condition and definitively these cars are traded higher. Unfortunately, he did not listen to my advice and has probably done everything wrong, which can be done wrong. Now, in retrospect, one can still proceed against this damage regulation and possibly the damage causer still due to driver flight.

First car
Hi I will soon have the driver’s license and of course I would like to get my own car. I am 18, female and still a student. But the car would finance my parents, so I have a room for 10-12500€. I like the mini or the Fiat 500…as well as so typical women’s cars! How to classify the ones in the insurance (would the car of course register on mom or dad) and what else is there for models that are completely cheaper and also beautiful and si are (for a small car)? Convertible would also be great, but not very necessary since we own a clk convertible that I should use if not too expensive. Also a big car is in the garage with the E-Class… is really only missing my small car! Since I have to drive for school etc often highway would be some performance also not bad. Thanks already for your help! 🙂 LG Lisa Lisa

HUK Coburg does not take into account public service !
Hello together, I have been working in the public service (energy supply) since 01.07.2013. My car and motorcycle are both insured with the HUK. Now I have sent the certificate (public service) of my employer to the HUK where I demand a recalculation and correction of my insurance contributions from 01.07.2013. Below the answer of the HUK: Thank you for the explanation. We can document a contract with the HUK from 01.07.2013. Unfortunately, the conversion of your contract to the latest tariff does not result in any savings for you as a whole. We therefore recommend you to continue your contract unchanged. In the event of a future change of tariff your activity will be taken into account in the open service. What should I think about it? My insurance man told me that 20% savings are included when you are employed in the open service. Thank you and greetings

Accident – Rent a car – Without police
Hello everyone, there’s a little problem. I was driving backwards in a parking garage in my car the other day. The problem with the whole thing is that the causer was on the way with a rental car. However, he had no damage. On his push we arranged the whole without police and he signed me that he was responsible for the accident. After I was in the workshop now and the damage is probably more expensive than expected he wants the ga The car rental company says, however, that you do not pay for the damage, since the police did not take the accident. What to do now? Does the insurance have to pay even if the police were not on site? Do I still sit on the damage now although I have a confession of guilt? Does the accident causer have to carry the damage from his own pocket? Maybe you have some good tips for me. Thanks already.

Passenger damaged other vehicle when opening the door who has to pay?
Hello, my daughter (still 17, end of the month 18 years) complained during school time about severe headaches and nausea. Then she wanted to bring the class teacher nicely to the doctor. On the teacher’s parking lot, my daughter opened the door of the car to her teacher, while she slipped the vehicle door, the door hit into the rear part (coating wing) of another teacher. This came to a dent, the car is Peugeot Cabrio 207 CC 03.2007. My question is now who is carrying the costs the reperatur ? the car.licence of the vehicle owner or me or my daughter . Thank you very much for your answers !!

Damage to door because it was not properly locked
Hello together, yesterday our neighbour picked up her and our daughter from a birthday. After the return my daughter got out of the car in front of the garage of the neighbour and obviously did not close the door properly, i.e. she was just leaning. After that the neighbor drives the car into the garage. The door opens and hits against the garage entrance. I estimate the damage at about € 500,-. The neighbor now expects that I should pay for the damage. W ie here is the legal situation? – What insurance is responsible for the damage? – What is the question of guilt here? In my opinion, it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure the driver’s willingness to drive. In addition, there should have been a warning tone and a signal on the vehicle when the door is not locked. (Touran Bj. 2009). I would be happy about tips on how to behave best.
