Hello together, In my garage stood and is already a 2016 SDR S.E. When the 2017 model came out, I immediately “in love” myself into the new light mask. A few days ago followed an emotion purchase at the cheapest KTM dealer in Austria. The 2018 SDR is fully configured to slip EUR 25.200.- minus discount. Said – done. I picked up the bike with the trailer (350km) and everything was good until then. Arrived at home, registered the same day and di After the test round the bike is turned off and what do I see? – Oil drips on the asphalt. Hmm, possibly “rest oil” or too much oil in the bike? No. Short version and resolution after evaluation of another KTM dealer: cylinder head UNDICTED. From WERK UNDICTED! Thanks KTM! – huge cinema. Now the oven goes back to the KTM factory? – the engine has to go completely out. Oh, how I am happy about it. For ME a total damage – the bike is gone and the joy too. Let’s see how l I will report. Not the first time that I have been delivered from the factory BULLSHIT from Mattighofen. Last year I bought a 701 Husky and had almost an evil accident – even at the first exit. Front tire pressure loss within 2 seconds with quick mountain ride, down, winding. Cause: the rim belt (seat) was twisted from KTM factory! inserted. Photo documentation available and confirmed by KTM. Well, I still got the 2016er – which is running. Still. 😉

Supermoto VEHICLE TIPS
Dear Supermoto friends! Last summer I fulfilled my absolute dream and got a 640 Supermoto. At the first inspection the carburetor was optimized (about 60 HP) and later I had a 16er pinion installed. The part is the absolute hammer!!! But who am I telling this… Despite several kilometers I could not take the great respect for my steam hammer yet. Especially in terms of slanting, roundabout and narrow curves I do not drive so yet, What are your experiences about this? Do you have any tips on how to overcome my inner “pig dog”? I would be very grateful for some tips and suggestions!

Drifting made easy / Tips
Hello I want to start with the drifting now and have already informed me but the action steps I find dragily long, this does not go easy 1. Full tube towards the curve (that is unfortunately important, because you have to have a good speed on it) 2. actually you have to drive a little past your “old” brake point 3. now you have to have the feeling that it does not fit anymore. 4. Gas to 5. Brake front (very good to reach and hold) 6. Pull the clutch 7. Switch down 1 or 2 gears (this is important, without changing gears it is more difficult and not really drifting (because the “coupling arie” is missing) – with several gears please switch everything at once and not by step with coupling between each gear as with the SBK 8. now let the clutch (with lower gear) come very slowly and extremely sensitive 9. during (8.) You let the clutch come easily you press the rear wheel brake 10. See here, the machine sets s 11. with correct angle and front blocking rear wheel (and actually also before the final coupling) release the rear brake AND 12. FULL GAS ! 13. IMPORTANT: Drifting does not mean that the rear wheel blocks, that is drifting for arms ! 14. Drifting is about when the front wheel turns 100 % and the rear wheel is braked to 80 %, by the mainly acting centrifugal forces and the driving dynamics of the two wheel itself, the machine puts itself across. 15. That’s it 16. like z to watch 7th and 10th, there are a lot of things to do and so that you don’t stand at the end of the maneuver (we still want to be fast), you have to have a real move on… that I find quite a lot and would be happy if I got tips

Hello and greetings to all KTM friends… I already added a topic on 09.09.08, but there were no answers yet… Drive a KTM 450 EXC 08` converted to Supermoto (see profile picture)… So, once asked… What could the law keepers (in green/white or blue/silver) have on me, if I come into a traffic control, they want to have my driver’s license ( 2 years with A18 / until 2010) and vehicle papers and read 12kW service registered (at 450ccm)??? Change less idea of motorcycles… My Füherschein is important to me… Gives tips that make sense… ALSO BIN MAL SPAN OB AND WHAT TO REPLY HERE!!! HAPPY THE ONES TO SHARE THE HOBBY WITH ME… THANK YOU TO ALL THE REPLY…

KTM 625 SMC 7,3L consumption normal??
Hello, since last summer has had a KTM smc 625 Bj. 2005. According to the operating instructions it has a 9 liter tank. 1.5 liter reserve. But come unfortunately only make 70- 80 KM far before I have to switch to reserve. Each time it goes out when I brake, when I drive at a traffic light. Always between (70-80km). Cann’t be, that the petrol tap is so sch*** attached that then it gets no fuel. Today once again to the tank on reserve and it went straight Once 5,6 liters after just 78 km. It corresponds to a consumption of 7,3 liters to 100 KM. It can’t be normal. edit: I don’t drive on stop. Speed up already from curves, and drive on the country road about 120- 130 km/h. but don’t heat around wildly!! Drive just 500- 1000 km a year. Pure fun companion Must say that she snores after almost every gas shock. But it’s almost normal for a KTM. That’s what my then 620 had. Or does it indicate that there’s something wrong with the injection??

wrong engine oil -> clutch slips
Tach people, I wanted to change the oil with meem Moped and then I got 1.4 liters of new 4-stroke oil for wet couplings and (by mistake) 1 liter of motor oil emptied. Then let it run a little bit that sh mixes everything well ^^ Then I made an oil change, say there new old oil drained again and emptied properly, but that in my oil pump and in the pipes there is still the old car-moped mixture in it of course I did not consider… My problem is that If I’m turning on the gas tap, my clutch slips through me a little bit. Do you think that’s going to settle down over time or should I put another pile of money in new engine oil or how where what?

Keihin carburetor
Hello Have installed a Keihin carburetor in my 640 LC4 and I was interested in what the three-poliege cable is which goes on the left side up into the carburetor. (on the opposite side of the Beten buildenzugungen vom gasgrif) The cable is nowhere connected and my KTM dealer could not tell me for what the cable is. maybe you can help me there further. Thanks Sigi

KTM 660 SMC
Hello people, plan a new motorad for me. Have seen the KTM 660 SMC somewhere. How far is the motorad recommended? there is no possibility to go into the area with it, if you change wheels. But mainly I want to drive on the road with it and do it daily at work. Since I am probably too cheap to buy a car (because of insurance costs). I also want to drive longer tours with a few colleagues. now not so ultra long until after spain or something… but so 100km back and forth it will be… .. oh yes… .. the motorcycle can be throttled on 34hp right?? MfG Jan
