  • KTM SMC 660 / Translation change

    Hello, my KTM SMC 660 is a very long and supermoto untypical translation on it. The 3rd course can be accelerated without any problems over 120 km/h and in the 5th course the 165 km/h are also no art (you can not hold yourself anyway :-D). I haven’t gone yet, but it will feel like it will come to 200 km/h. That driving around the curve in the 2nd course is also not of good feeling (very undertour). I would like to have a translation like it from e iner Supermoto knows (on rear wheel in 3rd g.). Deceleration max 160-170 km/h since I drive only country road anyway and short fast acceleration. Stop rather origanl. How is the original translation? Better everything new and if so what buy? Currently the following is installed by the previous owner: – Sprocket 38 Z – Sprocket 17 Z – Chain 54 links (click lock) What I still have from the previous owner: – Sprocket 44 Z – Sprocket 14 Z (used) would fit the currently installed chain?   • KTM 620 does not start.

    Hi, I’ve been driving a KTM 250 EXC-f for quite a while and am very happy with it. Now I got a used lc4 with it, but I just can’t get it to run properly… After I started it for about 5 hours she ran, then ran it for about 15 minutes, then turned it off, after that I wanted to start it again, which should not be a problem with a warm engine. Unfortunately, this didn’t work. After my leg was already blue I then got the Carburettor removed (Dellorto PHM 40 SD). I was able to discover a break point on the holder or version of the external nozzle. So I bought a used carburettor (about 20000km running) on eBay – no improvement. As a result, I checked ignition, also because everything was ok. I noticed that it smells extremely like gasoline when kicking, which was not ignited. This made me conclude on a wrong level of float. After setting the Sc hwimmers still no change. Slowly the ideas run out of me, I also have only 2 guesses: 1. The nozzles and seals in the carburettor are too worn out 2. The piston rings are through and thus the compaction too low. Does anyone have any other ideas? Unfortunately I have no experience with the 620. What would you advise me to do? Thanks in advance.

    Hello to everyone. It was just now. I got the 05 supermoto prestige with the following accessories: pirelli tire, akrapovic titan tailpipes, other nozzles with luffi and ktm crashpads for back and front..pictures come when I pick you up next week.. can’t believe it yet.

  • KTM reliability ?

    After 30 years I got a 390 ADV last fall, because I was not sure if the 790 ADV for the (re)start is not too big After I have now the first 3000 km on my 390 ADV down and already the 890 ADV tested I was almost just before the change, but……. Dude of me also bought in the fall ’20 ne 790 ADV. – After a few dogs kilometers of gear rod broken !! – 3 times Simmerring replaced because oil ran out is ! – Compensating tank front wheel brake membrane leaks and broth pulls out. Is on KTM = Not a thousand meters real. I have now heard so much negative about KTM in such a short time and read a la wille Reliability get you nn Japanese. Think seriously about getting a tenere 700 or a Triumph Tiger Raylle Pro. BIn now totally unsure, since I have been with the 890 ADV R almost before Traualtar.   • Driving EXC throttled

    Hello first of all I am like you vlt. remembers new here in the forum. But to get right to the point here my question: do you notice when you throttle the 4-stroke models of the EXC series a difference? If so in what way? Does the acceleration slow down or the top speed? How can you throttle them with 18? On 34hp or on 18hp? And with 20? I know there are a lot of questions at once but on the web I find just 0 info. Already at this point a thick THANK you .

    Hello everybody, I’m excited about you because I think you’re really aware of what you’re writing. So I’m asking you to help me and that’s: I want to buy a KTM SM and I have three to choose from I’ll just introduce you all three times: The first would be a KTM 640 LC4 SM BJ. 02.2002, Km 7600, 2nd hand, check book maintained, color: red/black and the price would be 4590.- However, both tyres would need 2 new ones at the end. The second would be a KTM 640 LC4 Prestige SM, BJ. 20 03, Km 8000, 1st hand, checkbook maintained, according to the dealer the previous owner was dropped once but I did not see any traces of a sturtz and the dealer said that the fork etc. was all in order and the price was 4990.- Tires are OK. The third would be a KTM 660 LC4 SM BJ. 2004, Km 1800, 1st hand, checkbook maintained, of which I know nothing at all and with the 660 I have never fasted, the crusher is dark blue colored ubd although almost until the end silencer no indication if that has something to mean, small scratcher and the price would be 5500.- All three are from the dealer and very well maintained and also on all would be buy off a 12 month warranty on it. What do you think you should buy if you want to have a bike to go to work and have fun. How long do the motors of the KTMs are the prices good or overpriced?   • Buying a KTM LC4.Couple Ask

    Hey.. have to buy a KTM before me soon.. I then came to the decision to take a 640 LC4, because you can at least register it openly without any problems.. even if I have to drive it throttled first…. and now I wanted to ask: Can you deal with a dealer so far that he gives me with cash payment ne Akrapociv??(so the ESD) and can you have the Akras registered without problems or can there be difficulties??? And you know maybe how much the throttle kos maybe someone from the area Taunus knows the KTM dealer in Rüsselsheim (Pro Bike Motor) and already has experience with him.. because there I want to buy the machine..
