  • KTM 450 exc, which throttle I need for 16ps

    Hello, my KTM has been stamped on 16 ps, but has open power, did not get any “replacement parts” when buying…… I have read that I need an air filter cover, I have already bought it, a gas slide stop, I also ordered it, and now there is still a carburetor nozzle and exhaust sieve, now I set the question which nozzle is pure so that the ktm is throttled, and from where do I get such a exhaust sieve, my end pot is empty, at least no SI B in the back where it should be, what do you have for alternative ? hole plate inserts ?, mfg kevin

  • SX-F 450 Model 2013 Maintenance

    Hi guys, I’m about to make a purchase decision on a KTM SX-F 2013. Since I’ve only driven 2T so far and have no experience with 4T at KTM or in general I wanted to ask what you do about maintenance per hour interval etc ….. Everything that is important and so on… I’ve already read a little, here are a few things here for sure even more. *Air filter should always be perfectly clean and oiled, after each training day a new or cleaned pure (? ) *How often does the oil and the oil filter have to be changed, in the start-up phase and later. In the case of a new engine, there are more “spans” at the beginning than later (?) * Engine maintenance: this model should check the engine or the plain bearings, etc., adjust, replace (?) *Coupling (?) I only know the conventional clutch rings and the springs at the 2T *How about the valve play, how often does it have to be controlled and adjusted(?) *Gabelölwechsel (?) *Bremsfl sweetness (?) *Brems and discs is a clear thing and everywhere is the same, if below then new 🙂 *What else needs to be considered I don’t know yet, am still looking at. Read the operating instructions… I have a personal interest in dealing with the mashine properly, just always leave and let it be done is not so my thing, I prefer to put on my own hand.   • 450: ingested at full gas

    Hello people, I always have problems with the fast gas with my 450er exc (2005). it always swallows itself. no matter if at little or at higher speeds. if you give slower gas, it goes. it turns then also fully high. main nozzle is ne 178er I cleaned, accelerator pump membrane also in order and clean. achso air filter lid is mounted with the holes and a sp-end damper (pre-owner) which problem could that be?HD for the damper too small? thanks e for your help!

  • Which dre number maximum to warm up, and which dre number to keep constant at warm operation

    Moin, wanted to know how high you turn your ktm smc690 with cold engine, how many kilometers you need to warm up, and what number of your constant drive on longer distance. my engine turns yes to 8 thousand, can I drive with warm engine constant with 4000-4500 dre number? or is that too high ?? or can you still ride higher zb 5,000 with warm engine since she has always good train. please explain my questions thank you =)

  • Battery constantly discharges

    Hey, I’m sorry that I’m driving around with my Husky. But the KTM Forum seems to be much more active than everyone else, and I’m on Corsica right now and my box is running just one battery charge. After that, it’s called pushing real with the Husky TE 511, also no rolling up of any higher debris mountains, then lets it jump again, Kickstarter miss.   • LC4 640 TM40 set

    Hi, I’ve been running a TM40 for 9 years on my 640 LC4, year 2001. Since it looks kind of crafted with the original trains, I took the one from ner 660 (59002091300) The carburetor was delivered by ABP ready for a 640 without snorkeling.The following setup has the TM40: main nozzle: 137,5 idle nozzle: 20 mixing screw: 0,5-1.0 revolutions nozzle needle: 9D3Y04-96 needle nozzle: Y-6 injection tube: 0,4 idle air nozzle: 1,1 I still have a Sebring Hun Now to the actual topic: the engine runs only with half-drawn choke to some extent ok. Also I mean to hear a slight ringing. I haven’t done anything on the carburettor yet. In my opinion, the 137.5 HD is too small. Should I switch to a 140 HD or larger? How do I set the carburettor best, procedure? Thanks already for hints, Frank

  • Rear conversion LC4 2004 on SMC 2006

    Meal, yes, I know, the sad topic again. But I just don’t find any suitable contributions to my problem. So I want to replace the rear of the 04 LC4 (with “Ei” as taillight on top) against that of the 06 SMC (backlight on bottom). Now I’ve already read and found out that I need a different frame back. Does someone happen to have the part number or other suggestions for this conversion project? I already have the one-piece plastic back. + Covers, bench etc. off? Thank you for your answers.

  • Capital engine damage?

    Hey hey I just recently bought my first motorcycle and it was a KTM Duke 620 e 1997 and I’m also very excited about it. The motorcycle is obviously in a top condition and looks real as if it was just off the factory. Now my joy didn’t last long, after about 250 km I noticed during the ride that the engine brakes out a little and then runs out with a loud bang… I tried to start it again until I noticed with a look down on it The engine is also fixed. Oil is still in it Can I now assume a captial engine damage or is there still a chance to save it? Did I have to have the engine completely kicked out or revised? That would be rather uneconomical but would not like to chew. Greetings

  • 640 LC4 does not start or heavy!

    Hello you! Have a huge problem (not even )! And I bought my 640 LC4 Supermoto last Saturday. Built 2004, 18.000 km, sheckheft maintained (only so for information). During the test drive everything went smoothly, however: I wanted to start the KTM next day at my home. Didn’t happen! When starting e-starting only the relay made noises, jumped on it did not. So then I wanted to kick. I kicked and kicked and kicked and nothing did itself. I used Choke, didn’t go either . For information: Gasoline tap was turned up, start-stop was on ON (it was also tried on OFF for safety reasons), empty gear was inserted, enough fuel was in the tank and it still didn’t start. When I started again I noticed that the speedometer display was getting brighter and the light was getting weaker and weaker (the battery was coming out apparently). After that I had enough and was out of breath from kicking. 15 min later I tried it again and look there at the first kicking it went on. next day the same game, nothing went on anymore. Was it already on and on to curse the seller. I contacted him and asked him if that was the case with him, he said he never had problems and she always went on! Now I’m confused. What can that be??? If the battery is already at the end it would still have to work by kicking or? I mean the battery does not have anything to do with kickstarting or? Please help me! Hope I have No mispurchasing done! Thank you in advance!
