As a drummer, especially as a handlebar of a 40-ton, one probably knows exactly what the legal provisions regarding maximum speed and distance are and that a tractor, even if it is a factory-new model, has a somewhat longer braking distance. So here my request:If you already put your limiter for the highway at 72 km/h or also 75 km/h like your colleague, who had just almost shot me down, then at least hold some safety distance, maybe something more than 5 to 10 meters. Do what you want with the thread here, but at least don’t endanger the other road users in order to insult them afterwards. Thank you!

MAN F2000E 14.254: Hinterachsdifferential
Moin! A question to the MAN mechanics! At our LF16 on MAN F2000E 14,254 (BJ.2001) we had the problem yesterday again that the rear axle differential did not open. We were stuck in the sand and got free again by means of longitudinal and transverse differential and with the support of a multi-purpose cable train. When switching back the control light for the rear axle differentials remained on and went out only after some time. In short, MAN 24h emergency service was in the yard a short time later. He then expanded and cleaned something (“was glued…” and reinstalled. Unfortunately, I had other things to do and could not follow exactly what was the cause. Fact is, we had the same thing before. Question: What could have been the cause? And above all: How can we do the whole thing? prevent?

Question on trailer braking systems
We drive a Fendt 207 VA built in 2003 and I found on the type plate the following data on the maximum trailer loads: Unbraked: 1400 kg Independently braked: 4000kg Braked: 8000kg What I am wondering now is what I have to mean by an independently braked trailer? Counts our single axle trailers with 3.5 t permissible total mass which has a fixed brake as unbraked or as unbraked The trailer has a brake but I can’t use it during the ride because I can’t get it. Central axle trailer tilted forward
Hello friends, please excuse the maybe a little stupid question, but I have rather little to do with trucks and hope that you can explain something to me. On my night newspaper tour I supply a supermarket, in whose parking lot always a central axle trailer (Frigo) is parked, which is picked up in the early morning hours again. This trailer is usually horizontal (is clear ), at the front and at the back each held by a support. Recently I came to the parking lot and saw that the said trailer had tilted forward, i.e. the support points on the ground were the drawbar and the axle. Now the question: what happened there? I suppose the supports are pneumatic – did there come to pressure loss, so that the heavier front end of the trailer sank to the ground? Are there other explanation possibilities? Can a trailer then be “pumped up” again by means of the supports, or does it have to be lifted by crane or similar to be coupled? Thanks in the Vo Out & Kind Greetings Filip

Fuel reduction truck! Information required for presentation!
Hello, I’m studying automotive and commercial vehicle technology in the second semester and I’m currently preparing a 20-minute presentation or would like to prepare it. The topic is fuel reduction on the truck. Since I’ve never really dealt with trucks very strongly before I somehow don’t really know how to get to all this information. So far I’ve just looked around on the manufacturer’s pages of MAN, Mercedes, Scania etc. and I’ve already had a paa r info found. Overall I would like to build up the paper as follows: 1. Fuel consumption 10 years ago and today 2. Fuel reduction measures 3. short introduction of a current low-fuel truck/trainer 4. future possibilities to save even more fuel However, I just lack a lot of things, maybe you can help me with one to two points, especially points 1 and 3 I would be happy about hints: 1. Here I would have found some information. a comparison between two similar truck models to make a truck of about 10 years ago and a current model. But I have not yet been able to find the right data and information for this, are there manufacturers or other companies publishing such data? If yes, where? 2. Measures to reduce fuel so far I have found the following: Chiptuning, lightweight construction, body shape, rolling resistance reduced tires 3. A current truck model that in force ff consumption is at the top? (in a positive sense ) If possible with consumption data. 4. Here I have already found enough information. So I am happy about your help and hints. Greeting poldi

Express courier disembarked
Hello together, I know I’m not the only one who Express Kurier has…… has. As it looks like, the right way won’t do that much. Does any of you have any suggestions about what you can still do to get some money? Maybe Moscow collection or something, but it would have to be something that makes an impression and this I…… maybe the craft is laying !!! Thank you for your suggestions.!

The Mr. Wormser and the stupid driver
In a radio report, Mr Wormser, head of an eponymous freight forwarderhttp://www.wormser.de/en/news-history/, spoke about the fact that many trucks have to stop in his company because there are no more suitable personnel. Today’s drivers/workers, who are not able to use modern technology, say: digital tachographs or vehicle technology. Is it really because the German driver is too stupid? Or is it because Mr Wormser and many others Re freight forwarders, just want to pay dumping wages. So that qualified personnel, at first not at all and only forcibly retrained, the German language hardly powerful, “specialists” remain? I see this in my own company, since hardly anyone can deal with the digital tachograph or it does not interest them anyway. There is driving, on devil come out… Chef said after all and boss pays the penalty. The remaining long-term drivers, whose driver cart e is readable, without it hails fines, are now mobbed out. Presumably this is the general trend, what is the industry fucked up How is that with you?

MAN 414 DFC gives itself gas ??? + engine jam
Hello would have a few questions 1. My motor jam drops from 40 km/h, by pushing up the injection pump turns off but the motor flap does not close, if I stop a few times it works again normal (or it just starts to work) 2. Be the previous week he just gives gas by himself (so in city traffic) and smokes black (only burst as if he had taken an eighth oil) With best thanks in advance

Truck Steyr
Hello dear truck community, I have signed up here to gain some new experience in the operation of our trucks and possibly also to change my behaviour towards the workshops. We are a small medium-sized company and deliver wood burning to our customers with our trucks (MAN and Steyr). Both trucks are so-called cobi-tippers, you can transport pellets loosely and blow in but also bring pallet goods to the customer. We say The vehicles are needed and are maintained due to the special construction. The overrun of these trucks became necessary, because our business has developed more right than Schlecht. However, I am “only” woodworm and screaming table thug and have little idea of the technology. I try to change this again and again, but at the end of the day one only deals with it when there is a repair. Bishhe r I have relied on my workshop, which has at least always repaired the vehicles again, so that I could drive quickly again. Unfortunately, I also have the fear that always quite quickly parts are replaced, which may only need intensive care or sometimes should be replaced by something used. It always goes quite quickly to the workshop, hours are written, parts changed and the bill written. A control of my own my questions to the community are: How do you travel with your workshop as a freight forwarder? Do you prefer to quickly return to the road or wait for an offer? How can you put pressure on a workshop? (Procuring parts yourself, helping drivers, etc.) Do you just have to do the most necessary things or are workshops ready to meet one when a service/maintenance contract is concluded? For some people, the strange thing is that you can’t afford to do it. I am looking forward to hearing from you Many greetings to Christian

Driver’s cab tilting TGA, cracking noises
Hello I tilted the cabin today there was a loud crack at the moment when the cabin reached the front end, then I looked at all the hinges and the cylinder, but could not notice anything striking. When the cabin was tilting back there was then when the cabin was about in the middle the same noise again, I tap on the place where the cabin moved your center of gravity from front of the joint to back. Does anyone have an idea what that is about? the feeling of the thing…
