Hello colleagues of the driving guild, I drive a seasonal bus, summer and winter season and must in between for about 6 weeks to the employment office. Now a company is looking for a driver for a month for 4 axles tipper. I was today at the job interview, at which was immediately washed my head. I was talked into the conscience how difficult it was to drive a 4 axles tipper etc. and it is just no comparison with a 15m 3 axle bus, which I as usual I have never confessed to having driven 4 Achs tipper, but Unimog U400 in winter service (6 years) and for a good 1 year bus and accident-free. My question to you now is whether it is really so difficult to drive a tipper? I think that I will be able to drive a tipper with my driving practice with 15m buses and the winter service on U400! Furthermore, I was informed that various training trips are free of charge! Well, what am I supposed to think of it I am suspected that this is an abzock company that enriches itself at the expense of its drivers and you are looking for drivers who are 20 years old, have 40 years of experience and best still rough for free hours. I don’t know if I should do this to myself. Is this procedure common in the transport industry? Who has experience and can give me tips on how to behave?

Useless spare wheels on US trucks?
Hello everybody, I would have a question for you… And I have noticed many times lately that you can see on US trucks wheels that don’t touch the ground and are often smaller in diameter and width than the other wheels. Can you explain to me what they are good for? In my view, it doesn’t look like it’s a lift axle that can be lowered. Or is it? Often the dimension of these wheels is significantly smaller than that of the other wheels d I think that this is a layman in this field. Since it does not appear that it is steered axles, some trucks look as if they can only drive straight ahead if this axle is actually lowered. I had also thought about whether it might be an unusual way of fixing the axles for us Europeans. But often the dimension of the wheels doesn’t fit anywhere else on the truck. So it’s a mystery to me and ask for clarification of it. 🙂 Here are three examples:http://www.drywallcranes.com/image/99%20Western%20Star%20F300c.jpg http://www.asphaltechinc.com/images/116_06_20Frightliner_20003_1_.jpg http://zierke.com/web-page/pics/kenworth_dump.jpg Good driving all the time! – Three-stroke –

MAN TGA 18.410 SZM ABS trailer problem
1. ABS 1 lights up; is the problem from the SZM? 2. ABS trailer lights up in the display starting from engine start/turn and the yellow ABS lamp does not run out. The following: I have subjected the trailer to a visual sample Cable and plugs are OK not scrubbed through and no passage to mass. ABS sensors I measured 1 ABS axis 1.8 Ohm. 2axis 1.2 Ohm ABS cable between SZM and trailer has been The trailer would have regulated despite error message on the brake dynamometer while blocking. It would also reach the indicators before another SZM correctly still a speed of 20 km/h, so without error. You will probably have to start with the SZM. Who can help me there further? (Reading a workshop error is not possible since the car runs up to So 24 hours a day 🙂

Activate Lift Axle MAN
Hello, I’m new here. Had read something about lift axle here before, but went there via a Mercedes. Have a buddy where only the automatic lift function works. So when empty or loaded… But now he sometimes has to lift the axle despite loading. Buttons are 2 in. in switch… where also the lighting is on and off. And a button where the function lamp in the switch does not react. Can someone tell me how far here the pre-equipment is? MFG …. comes only from the car B achievable workshop. (only at Bundeswehr in truck Inst. many years ago…)

CE extension suspended, help.
Hello, I got my CE on 1.4.2004 (no, was no April joke 😉 ) My parents had paid the bill at that time because we have horses and I can also drive uneren Touareg with hanger then. The C1E variants were at that time hardly common at the driving schools, therefore I immediately made the big appearance. But I never needed the CE in the time and therefore completely forgot that it runs after 5 years. On the weekend I now got by chance that i a good friend said that I now have to make the appearance completely new, because I waited too long with the extension. Did any of you have any experience with it? I don’t need the CE but it would be more than annoying if this one would fall and I only have the C1E. Thanks already in advance. MfG Y

Cabrio – Commercial vehicle searched. :-/
Hello, I have opened a small company and soon I need a little more cargo space (as from 2.8 cubic meters) than in my MX5 🙂 but I can’t afford 2 cars. So I’m looking for a car which I can also drive openly, which has at least 4 seats and has commercial vehicle qualities. A jeep wrangler / pick up would be perfect, but is of course very expensive in its purchase and especially in its entertainment and for deliveries not ge gee ignet. I’m a real greenhorn in terms of car, and since all car search pages are always specifically asked for the brand, I don’t get any results either. The brand, and also the vehicle type, I don’t care about it. I get along with everything if it meets the criteria. Pick up, van, minibus, combo … everything okay. Is there such models or is this an absolute exotic wish? Thank you for every tip.

Cracked brake disc
Hello together! Does anyone have experience with cracked brake discs? I have recently learned of this possibility and look very sceptical towards this technique. The brake disc is specifically broken during its formation and connected by screws. Advantage: Wheel hub does not need to be removed and installation should be fast and low maintenance.

Equipment of the trucks with lashing materials sufficient?
Hi, lately, BAG and police have been paying more attention to regular load securing and often have to find out that there are not enough lashing materials on the vehicles, which then means that the continued journey must be prohibited until the material has been obtained for a sufficient load securing. As a truck driver, do you always have the impression that you yourself have been adequately supplied with lashing materials or do you think that here (for cost reasons) on Is there no potential for improvement?
