Hello! As far as I know, all current trucks have one of the chips in them, which is supposed to limit the speed to approx. 80 km/h. Only reality is, if I drive with my car speed 100 km/h, then I am practically exactly in the truck column. Of course, the speedometer always shows a little too much (according to the manufacturer approx. 3% tolerance). But even if you take off generously 10 km/h tolerance, no truck should stick to its own rear at Tempo 100. I guess that this chips are relatively generously designed, so that the trucks run realistically more 95 km/h than 80 km/h. Drive so far only on airfields older trucks, which do not have such chips yet and run loosely 120 Can you not make the trick to buy newer trucks over Belgium, where they can also drive faster? Or are all EU trucks braked with this chip? Would be interesting to know….

Return to service after 7 years
Hello forum I have a bus – Mercedes O303 – which has been parked for 7 years. Now it should be sold soon, because I cannot use the vehicle for lack of time and it makes no sense to leave it standing around. Now I should know what to do to bring the vehicle back to life without causing gross damage. The engine has not been preserved. I understand that all filters and oils have to be re-cleaned. What about the diesel? The vehicle has been fully fuelled before it was turned off to avoid rust in the tank. Somewhere I have read that the connections are decomposed and the diesel can no longer be used after a time. Are there any other preparatory work before the first start? the engine is an OM402 V8 suction engine. Thanks for your information and constructive contributions

Truck for motorsport.
Hello I work in a building material transport and drive the week over a 3 year old 40 tons crane train. since I deal with motorsport in my spare time and also drive I would have asked a few questions! In the next time there are again several races and would like to use the truck for transport of our four cars which I drive the week over? because I have to keep my weekly rest times I would like to know if I can make the journey back and forth without my driver card because that is not a commercial transport? And if I can drive back with the train on Sundays again, if I would get an exception for it? As I said, everything is hobby and, after my opinion, does not go into commercial goods traffic! My cheff would not have tried to use the truck until now, he only said I should make myself clever before that because of the pre-selected to private rides! Hope you can help me MFG Lutzifa 🙂

Door Panel MAN TGX
Hello, can any of the MAN screwdrivers help me? How does the door panel work with the MAN TGX without any damage? And how do I get inside the mirror? Do I have to take off the plastic panel or take out the mirror glass!? MfG Matze

Truck parts & disposable company
Hello to the round! The specific case of the defective preheating – actually only a small component, but repairing is so elaborate, so rather completely new… let me think again, what (independent of the discussion about the intended throwaway society) one does with such expanded parts? Without an announcement is left to the workshop, but are there still the tireless hobbyists who still judge it? Are there parts that others even looking for? Of course one would like to achieve something…. But who and where? Are there alternatives to ebay? Thank you for your opinions and experiences 😉 is just a greenhorn

Thefts from Parking Trucks
Hello colleagues, I wanted to create a new topic with regard to thefts or even assaults on truck drivers especially abroad. The reason is because I was affected by myself this week. Since I was empty I got away well. But how to behave properly if you caught the guys in a fresh act. I stood about 60 km before Calais on the A 26 resting place 62120 Saint-Hilaire-Cottes, France morning at 04.30 am I heard it cracked loudly at the back of the sliding plane. The locking lever was pretty tight so it was quite loud. From that I woke up out of the bed curtain and already stood a southerner side the driver door. (That was probably lubricating) When he noticed me the group made about 15 men through the fence out of the dust. On the other side of the fence. All equipped with bulging backpacks. However, at this moment I had just come out of the supplier for the resting place. I had cut up the plans with other colleagues and at the suitcases to break the locks. Usually I left the loading wall empty if I had to the attack in front of the person?

TGA ignition voltage despite disconnected key
A hello to the smart heads here. My TGA 18-430, D20 can no longer be decoupled from the ignition voltage (terminal 15). Engine stops after closing but everything else, e.g. instrument panel etc. continue to shine, even if keys are deducted. Parallel error messages from FFR & RET S as well as the message EDC come. Engine can be started at any time, runs perfectly and in driving mode without fault messages. Ignition lock has already been controlled, plug-in relay under dashboard passenger side and plugged out but without result. Does anyone know this phenomenon and / or knows advice? Thank you in advance

Problem of drum brake on semitrailers (BPW axles)
Hi Jung ́s, we have a problem in the shop with our semi-trailer, the day before yesterday our driver drove from the motorway to a federal road. After about 5km he noticed that it was heavily squirting on the rearmost axle on the left side (Bremse was fixed). Through the emergency service then the hub was disassembled on site and he could drive without brake pads in the drum into our house DB branch where he was also 1month before to the tuv or 1week before to the KD. In the error analysis then was found that one of the brembacks is completely worn out, but the second one is the same from the wear and tear as that of the other axles. How can this be that the coverings use so much different? Should this not be noticed in the Tüv? Can a brake lining in such a short time without smoke development be so heavily worn??

Difference Business card Driver card
Hello guys, I have a question about the digital tachograph. What is the difference between the business card and the driver card? What is it like if you are a boss and driver. Do you need 2 cards or a business card? How about a rental car. I didn’t have a card (only old clothes were used so far) and had a rental car with a digital tachograph for a day last week and was a little bit asked about it. The landlord said that it doesn’t matter, the police know how to read it out. But I think that’s only true (only from the log) on private trips. Or? Thanks already for the numerous answers Greeting of the Tonmann

Actros MP3 1844 recall action coupling
Does anyone know the reasons why the clutch is replaced? At Mercedes can or don’t want to tell me why the clutch is replaced. Subjects two 1844 and possibly also one 1848 but there are probably not sure. 2 Actros are from Dec 08 and a 1844 from the middle 09 I believe.
