  • Driver’s license new truck with new job has questions about working time/overtime

    Hello to the round, I have a few questions about driving and working hours. Here to my case: I have now for about 1 month the truck driver license started working this week at a forwarding company, drive food in local transport, but it seems a bit strange to me for working time: – Driver card is only plugged when truck has been loaded by me – At the markets I have to unload and put the recording device on pause ( and that at every market ) Yesterday I started After loading and processing the papers I put my card. After 2 markets back load again and delivered 2 markets again. Everything together I was the night at 1 clock 30 in the yard and could do work out. Is actually much too long or I am wrong there. And as I said every time I park the truck and refuel or load or unload I have to put on a break, or the device automatically puts on a break. I hope you can help me.

Is it the case that the parking brake has to be tightened to lift the trailer’s loading area? And where is the tipping process triggered? On the trailer? or in the cab?   • Many engine damage at Actros

    Hello guys, my former work colleague changed the forwarding company half a year ago. We are both drivers. At the forwarding company I am driving at the moment, the fleet consists only of Scania R420 vehicles. It is personal to me no matter with which truck I do my job. So whether Scania, Mercedes, M.A.N…..usw everyone has its personal attitude !!! So now on the subject. My colleague tells me at the current band that there is regular engine damage in your company g ibt. Driving there in Actros 460s, 480s, and 600s. 6 vehicles have had piston damage in the last 3 months. The engine has been replaced for all 6 vehicles. The same has happened for 3 vehicles with the new engines. Now the Mercedes builds again new test engines at the expense of MercedesBenz AG. So I can tell you that the boss of this company is not to speak well on Mercedes. I personally don’t care what I drive. With Mercedes likes mi r the interior equipment e.g. better than with Scania.
