I took note of the contributions about this dubious AV. On 9.7.2011 I rented with a couple of friends a 966 he for 3 hours. The car was in a desolate condition (leakage knocked out, braking effect severely restricted). The landlord had not come to accept the car (!) telephone was agreed to deposit the key at a hotel reception. So far so good – bad however, after a few days were 2500,.€ off my account . 1500 € as a so-called deposit – which was not transferred back to me and additionally 1000,-€ for which the landlord was not authorized. Yesterday then came an invoice about an alleged drive damage in the amount of exactly 5634,69€ !!!! Just again something to do for the Advocates. So people : FINGER WEG and better go to a serious AV

Customer service and Europcar – 2 worlds meet
Hello dear people, I don’t know if it belongs here (and I don’t know if I’m allowed to do that, dear Mods) but I feel moved to point out the car world to the most pathetic customer service since the invention of the rental car and to write to myself which company you better not take any more soon, if you need a rental car again. Since my friend moved to my Ruhr area at this WE, we had to borrow a moving car and with We had already reserved a sprinter 2 months in advance. On that day we also wanted to pick up this vehicle at the above-mentioned company. In glad expectation in the Böblinger Europcar branch, unfortunately, we were informed there (not before by phone but at the counter) that neither the reserved or any other sprinter would be available in the Stuttgart area. Point out. Well, bad luck… Alternatively, we were offered a 7.5t for this. If you know the parking conditions in Rüttenscheid, you already know how much we were looking forward to going with such a Eumel through the uncleaned roads parked on 2m through the road width, that even garbage collection and flute man actually only bend through here under permanent hoops and in the company of the Ordnungsamt. Of course everything was already meticulously planned. So we bit into the sour apple and took the small load R. GsD still has the old class 3 driver’s license The Trulla am Thresen gave us the car with about 4/5 full tank with the statement that this is always like this, because the tank trunk says “Stop”. We also made the same experience on the train from SA to SO from Cologne on the night. Until Cologne and the ice sheets and snow heaps on the A3 and A52 appeared behind it, the cucumber shop was even fun, even though thanks to the 90s-tacho-limiting nature We had to park the car in a nearby supermarket parking lot, because we had previously not locked 3 but only 1 parking box. After a lot of fun digging out the car, shunting, and millimetre parking (front 5!cm to the poller in the back the loading ramp just passed the last branches of a hedge) we unloaded the thing, refueled it and drove to Europcar. There was a “fr “Lord, to whom one already noticed how glad he was about the fact that in his (definitely otherwise only occupied with 4-6 cars) car rental branch he gets a 7.5t in the hand. After the usual formalities also the fuel level was naturally checked with the result that of course it is not completely complete. We said that we had been handed over the car so and had filled it accordingly according to instructions. But he again said that we a) ni It could really fill up (which probably is true, but that was agreed, because the predecessor could not fill up already anyway), because you never have to refuel the thing on a tank stop but on “sight” (aha, nice, that HE knows that so exactly, unfortunately the BBlers did not, because we have said something else) and that there is certainly still 5-10 liters missing. In the further course of the conversation then at some point already 10-15l and that we should drive again to the tank and d I told him that we took over the car with the corresponding tank instructions so in Böblingen, that we did not even want THIS car, which WE alone through the slutting of Europcar certainly had on our part 30€ extra costs by more fuel consumption (because he swallows away more than a sprinter) and offered him the ” He didn’t care about everything. On the contrary: he thought that we didn’t have to take the thing. SUPER TIP! He repeated in his bored above-teacher sound that refueling costs 3.39€/l and that we would then get a bill for the approx. 15-20!!l. Moreover, he indirectly accused us of lying because he meant that literally: “inconsistency” with the agreement in BB could tell him (and d d As in the tone: “you can tell your grandmother…”. Unfortunately I came up with the idea with reserve cans only afterwards, otherwise I would have offered him to fill the thing with a spare canister up to the OK tank lid, until the shit soup like me runs over his fingers. We then told him that WE will then clarify this with the branch in Böblingen, because he obviously neither mentally nor physically (or as the footballer says: neither me nor me) ndtal still psychic ) was able to thank us for his “cooperation readiness” and then are home. To be honest, I am on the 15, 35 or 65€, whatever he now also writes on the bill, but I have not yet experienced such a stubborn and less customer-oriented behavior. Btw: the tank cover was already full of diesel even on the first refuelling. Who tells me that this Sch.. lid was not leaking and the missing 5l there at the first For me, this smeary chairfur..he definitely had no idea to bug the giant box from his way too small. For me, after this near death experience, there are two premises: firstly: it is good that the driver’s licenses are now divided differently and not every Hansel can drive with such a cart anymore because if you drive such a thing for the first time, it is really a conversion second: this is definitely the last time that I have rented something from Europcar. I will mention the goat bear man with the rescue ring approach in the Essen branch (the one at the Schützenbahn; I probably can’t write the name of the Lord here, but I’d like to!) in any case in the further negotiations again “lauding”, so much is certain. Well, he is probably just a little sausage, which does its service in her branch according to regulations, but honestly is d The loading area was of course max. 1/4 full and we have already considered whether we can put in some empty boxes as a filler, so that the junk inside can not slide back and forth in such a way.Not that we would have needed even the more cargo capacity.

Car hire: CD/Navi drive locked?
Then I want to inaugurate the forum…. I drive cars from Europcar (Audi), all with factory-side Navi + single-CD changers. However, the drive seems to be somehow blocked, there is no CD in it, but there is no one in it either (didn’t have the assumption that the Navi DVD was in the shaft, but it is not or does nothing happen when I press the ejection button). Is there somehow a lock in it from the landlord? Greeting Martin

Experience with DriveNow
Since there seems to be no thread about experiences with Carsharing DriveNow, I’m starting here. Maybe several of them want to share their experiences with DriveNow – whether positive or negative. I’m beginning: We wanted to drive to Munich with a DriveNow vehicle on 09.06.2013 at 00.20 Uhr from Munich Airport. Surprisingly, there was not a single DriveNow vehicle in the parking deck 20, level 6. The employee of the comfort and safety park shared ledi We were then standing on the airport parking lot with our two little children after midnight. In the end we had nothing else to do but drive home for 78,- € by taxi. I am of course aware that at DriveNow the vehicles can only be climbed in themselves where someone else places them. However, if advertising for a rental at a certain station, namely at the airport, is made, can according to my estimate In my letter of complaint, DriveNow merely informed us that he would intervene in the distribution of the vehicles only in certain situations and confirmed the termination of my membership of DriveNow (which I had only considered, but had not explained).

Car rental charges me a damage I don’t know about
Hello! A little over a month ago I rented a small car – I had no accident and did not notice any damage to the car. I parked the car in the parking lot of the insurance and threw the key into the delivery box – so there was no personal handover. Today I got an invoice for about 600 euros due to an alleged long scratch – an consultation with me or similar had not taken place. Can you tell me, w he is the legal situation? Who has the obligation of proof? Who has a tip on how to behave best?

Rental Audi R8
Hello, does someone have experience with renting a private car here? I have offered my R8 times and now have lively prospects that would rent the vehicle, but I have no idea?! Actually, want to see what the reaction is to an R8! What does such a rental contract look like, does someone happen to have something like this as a PDF or knows a page to look at? Thanks for hints and help …

ADAC Car Rental – Beware of Fraud
At the beginning of September I had a car accident without fault. The ADAC towman offered me a car rental from ADAC. He told me that I as an ADAC+ member and as an innocent person can drive a car for free for 2 weeks. My lawyer told me that I should drive to the ADAC again and ask if I can drive the car for 2 weeks or 5 days free of charge. After his recommendation I drove there and the employees told me, since I received a letter from the ADAC with an invoice of 140€ for the rental car. I called the legal department and they also told me that I did not have to pay anything and that the invoice should only be informative. Yesterday I received an invoice of 944,05€ again on the grounds that I had a usage loss of 250,00€ In the letter it was written that the ADAC did not have an EInfluenz on this invoice and is not available for questioning, but only the opposing insurance. I drove with the invoice in the amount of 944,05 € to the ADAC and they told me that if they have paid me a usage loss of 250 €, I have to pay the rest myself. At the beginning they assured me that I even did not have to pay hts has to pay. The ADAC employee laughed at me outrageously. Should I go to the police and report fraud (I also have an eyewitness) or go to the lawyer or what possibilities do I still have?
