Sachs 50 A B 1092 – Ignition time does not fit
Hello, I am currently raising to life an Achilles Capri from 1956. Now, however, when ignition is set, I hang firmly. Where is my fault? I removed the cylinder head and was able to set the upper death point of the piston more easily. The piston edge is about 0.5mm below the top of the cylinder. If I turn the pole wheel now to the left (against the motor rotation direction), the interrupter should actually open at the correct ignition time. 2mm below the upper death point. Now comes the problem: with me it is 6mm. This means far too much pre-ignition!? It’s also funny that the demolition measure with approx. 9mm is correct (8-12mm). Are there different pole wheels, with which the cam is offset only by a few degrees? Does anyone know what the designation LM/U R 1/115 / 17R8 means on the pole wheel? I have already twisted the ignition base plate to the maximum and also mounted another breaker contact. I’ve already played the interval. Now I’m at a loss. Thank you for your help!

DKW RT 125/2 chain stigma
Good day, dear MOTOR-TALK community, does one of you know which puller I need for the chain scribbling of the primary chain, i.e. the one on the crankshaft? Basically, I just want to change the primary chain, as individual sleeve links were broken. In a workshop manual there is something of a puller no. 08515, that would be an M22x1.5. But when I measured roughly with the measuring slide, I came to 25,2 mm – now I am a bit overburdened. hrauber solve. Or does someone have a better idea how to do this more skillfully? I would be very grateful about links to counterholders or special tools!

Simson Moped Light Problem
Hello, I hope that I can get help with a general electrical problem here. I have a question about my lighting. I drive CNC handlebar valves with normal push buttons with rest function (so no pushbuttons). I also use a vape with H4 headlights on my Simson S51-4. This combination eliminates the possibility to disconnect dipped and main beam. High beam works seperately (a light turn in the bulb lights). However, when switching to dipped beam lights the bulb becomes so hot after a short time that it breaks down. From my handlebar armature a cable goes to ignition lock Kl.56 (like original white/black), from terminal 56 a cable (yellow) goes to 56B dipped light on the headlight or bulb. From the headlight or bulb 56A (remote light) the cable goes to the switch in the armature. Mass is fetched directly from the frame. I have the possibility to switch here by means of a relay circuit so that both sparks again separately If yes, can someone help me with the relay circuit?

Identification of motorcycle
Who can help me identify this motorcycle? This photo was made in the district of Wurzen/Sachsen about 1928-1935 and shows my father on a motorcycle that is currently unknown. On the tank there is probably a jumping deer with antlers. Can someone contribute something to the license plate? Thank you in advance.

DKW RT 250-2 spark plugs torque
I installed a new cylinder head on my DKW RT 250-2, built in 1954. With the old cylinder head 2 cooling ribs had broken off. With what torque should I write the spark plug in the aluminium cylinder head? I have a torque wrench, are 25 NM in order or too much ? Thanks for the help Greeting Jürgen

DKW RT 125/2 Set ignition time correctly
Good day, dear motor talk community, I recently purchased a DKW RT 125/2 and would like to check the ignition time at 4 mm before OT and adjust the interrupter contact, which should be 0,4 mm at OT. I encountered the following problems: 1.Earthful spark plug hole: Since the spark plug hole is inserted diagonally into the cylinder head, I wonder if this could cause difficulties when using a measuring clock. 2.Insufficient length of the measuring clock: My measuring clock is too k My theory as I am oblique on the piston may not be able to work properly? Does anyone have an idea if I should use another measuring tip or if an alternative measuring tool would be better suited? I look forward to your advice and experience. Thank you in advance!

German post-war motorcycle tune on 30 HP?
Hello, I’m currently looking for a new screwdriver project for me. Visually speaking, German post-war motorcycles are my absolute favourites, so everything that goes in the direction of BMW r25, DKW rt 250 and Simson AWO 425. I would like to do some longer trips with these motorcycles, especially in the mountains, and can also keep up with my friends with modern motorcycles, for which the performance of mostly under 15 hp simply not ausreic My absolute dream would be a motorcycle with this look/look, but with about 20hp – 30hp and a top speed of about 130 km/h. Does anyone have an idea if, and if so, how to realize it? So the whole thing is realistically feasible, and if so, which bike would be the most suitable basis for it, and which tuning measures, or which new engine could I install? On the internet I have already found this project here, which I am very interested in a Simson AWO with compressor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-SO_OYI-Pc But maybe someone has other approaches or ideas.

BMW R60/5 Oil Control Lamp
Dear Schraubergemeinde, I’m addressing you again with a question about my R60/5. I’ve done a great service at the beautiful 2-valve year 1972, a great service. Oil change (20W50) with filter, transmission, swing and end drive oil renewed, air filter tested and cleaned, valve play set. Everything works so far, the BMW drives well, the heads are perhaps a bit loud although I have set both outlet and inlet valve with 0.15mm. I know that A The problem now is that the oil control lamp only runs out from about 4000 revolutions. In idle mode it lights up very brightly and with increasing speed it gets darker until it goes out beyond the 4000 revolutions. I checked the oil level several times and installed an oil filter according to manufacturer specifications. I am now at the end with my Latin and hope to get some good information on how to disable this error. before the oil and filter change this error never occurred. Thanks in advance, Biker’s greeting Heinrich
