Hello, I am planning to leave Germany for a couple of years and wanted to buy a nice car. At the moment I am thinking of a BMW M850i Gran Coupè from 2020- 2022. However, the roads where it goes are equipped with a lot of speed bumps/ground waves that are very high. Therefore, I am afraid that the car starts and scratches. I have made a little smart and know that the ground clearance is at 128mm ex factory. Therefore the questions how can I use the car as far as possible mi t tires on at least 150mm or preferably to be safe on 160mm. Current 8 cylinder engine in M850 and M8: How good is it?
Hello dear BMW 8er municipality, I am currently driving a modified 125d and a modified M140i and I am now slowly preparing for a successor for these two still great cars. In question are M2, M4, M850i, or M8. I like the 8er very well (inside as well as outside). With the design of M2 and M4 I can not really be friends, even if they are technically very good cars. The large kidney at the M4 is not working at all and inside with the Curved display I ask mic h also what this is supposed to be!! On the other hand, the 8s would be optically perfect for me. Maybe a little bit big, but I could get used to it Recently I drove an M850i to the test. The car had a lasting impact on me. Not so much the acceleration or the passage (I knew what to expect), but all the more how good it was on the road and how agile the car looked despite the weight and the dimensions. So I could really be friends with such a vehicle. But ask me how good the engine is in terms of quality and stability (I would still like to do a SW tuning). Servus, I have exchanged the coolant compensation tank today for reasons of preventive maintenance. Many already know the topic, the container can be leaked due to the thermally high load and then the coolant runs on the injectors and ignition coils, which then go defective. There is meanwhile also a changed part number and the part looks different. At first glance an additional damping / relief at the screw-down points and a a kind of drain channel, which now the coolant, which if necessary from the valve in the lid, does not run directly down (to the injectors), but leads back to the front wall. My recommendation would simply have the container replaced when replacing the spark plugs (there it must be removed anyway). Depending on the discount, the cost point for the new container is between 97 and 150 euros. E63 BMW 6er as a everyday car
Hello together, at the moment I drive 3 cars, as a daily car an e46 330i as a seasonal car no.1 a 350z as a seasonal vehicle no.2 an e63 M6 I am satisfied with all 3en, but for running costs I would like to reduce the fleet to 1 Alltaugsauto + the M6. Both the e46 330i (M-Package 2 + SMG) as well as the 350z(20inch, Bielstein suspension, Nvidia system + Sport Kats, Chip etc…) are great. The 3er is allerweltsfahrzeug, the 350z in the SOmmer in the dry The M6 is kept….only for what can I exchange 330i and 350z, which is just as suitable for everyday use and makes as much fun as the 330 and 350z? Thought there was an e63 645ci or 650ci….. The M6 is a KOstengrab, which I drive only about 4-5tkm in the summer, as everyday car is not so good. What do you think?

Long brake pedal path, who had this problem before?
Hello dear MTler, My M6 E63 causes me grief after the installation of a Brembo GT brake system for 14 days. The brake pedal can always be pushed through before the braking effect starts. After the installation it was at about 1/4tel and 500 Km then 3/4tel until braking effect – but then extremely good, without reducing the brake pressure during the braking process. After the installation of the Brembo was aired 4 times with different methods. (1/4tel pedal path) I should then once a bissc This means that the main brake cylinder (Brembo) is changed – although the characteristic of the long pedal path could not be closed for a defective main BZ. Even with several “pumps” the pedal path does not change – so it is no longer possible to build up pressure. The brake power amplifier works perfectly, in the FS no error message.
