  • According to the BMW, the new BMW 8er is not intended for today’s 6-person drivers

In bimmertoday I was now very surprised to have an interview with the BMW product manager of the new 8er about the following statement. She responded to the price increases compared to the 6er:No, just like the car has nothing in common with the 6er, the customer group will also be another. We are really with the 8er with the sports car buyers, who on the one hand place very high demands on their vehicle, but on the other hand are also little compromise ready. The reverse is true that the current drivers of the F-series do not have a successor model anymore. A 4 or 6 GT cannot be seriously considered as a replacement on the part of BMW. I at least draw my own conclusions from this statement, and will order a successor model for my new 650ix from 2017 in 2020 at Mercedes. The 8-series died for me, or better, it was never intended for me as a customer of a populous 6-series. Actually, a pity.

  • New wheel combination – now unbalance 90-130 KM/h

Hello, how ready described above short and scarce: Exchange from the original BMW 19 inch winter wheels on brand new Vossen replica 20 inch rims with ET35, along with brand new Nexen Nfera SU1 with the prescribed size including H&R DR (screw plates) 30mm track plates on all 4 wheels. Have had everything installed during tire service. Now the following problem: Vibrate and shake the steering wheel and under the car between approx. 90-130 km/h. Can this come by wrong force? on the one side of the support surface have a wrong centering? (according to the report, there is only one side in it, which is 72,5mm, so the side where the rim is located should be correct as far as possible) Can this be due to the Nexen tires (rather than premium tires) or that these are simply so “bad” from the quality that you have to live with it!? (always Hankook Ventus Evo had on it, after recommendation I wanted to try the Nexen now because they are also a ticking cheaper.) Driving behaviour on the highway or country road is pretty annoying to me. Can someone help me here and possibly have an idea that I don’t come up with? And again: Before the exchange, so with the winter bikes on original 19inch BMW Alus everything was fine, not the smallest vibration or the like. I thank you …

  • Car no longer drives after wheel change

Hello together, I am a newcomer and wanted to change the tyres on my 6s bj 2015. Now I have changed the winter tyres through the summer tires but nothing has happened while driving. you feel that the car wants to drive but wheels don’t react… Normally I let the tyres change in the workshop so I can say that the combo works. I’ve already researched and many say wheel screw too long… This is my 2nd approach… In advance another question: Does the HA have to have the larger tyres than the front? Because that’s how it was last year… Or is it really due to the wheel screw? Summer tire 19 inches winter 17 inches Both original bmw. With my previous car it didn’t matter, there I did it for the even wear…

  • E64 statistics

    In order to assess the value of a model, it is advisable to compare supply and demand. The available (used) supply of the E 64 (without reimports) is determined by the registration numbers (here from the end of 2014). Demand is based on the comparison between the available quantity in relation to the total availability (x % of the total quantity is currently available). E 64 Supply of 945 = 6.56 % 630 : 77 of 1178 = 6.54 % M 6 before facelift : 24 of 271 = 8.86 % M 6 LCI : 12 of 271 = 4.43 % 650 before facelift : 46 of 315 = 14.06 % 650 LCI : 16 of 630 = 2.54 % 630 before facelift : 59 of 781 = 7.55 % 630 LCI : 18 of 397 = 4.53 % The most sought-after model in mid-2015 was therefore the 650 i (LCI) with 2.54 %, the least requested model of 650 i (before facelift) with 14.06 %.E 64 supply / demand in mid-2017 : M 6 : 33 of 271 = 12.18 % 645 : 62 of 918 = 6, 75 % 650 : 50 of 945 = 5.29% 630 : 68 of 1178 = 5.77% M 6 before facelift : 25 of 271 = 9.23% M 6 LCI : 8 of 271 = 2.95% 650 before facelift : 47 of 315 = 14.92% 650 LCI : 23 of 630 = 3.65% 630 before facelift : 53 of 781 = 6.79 % 630 LCI : 15 of 397 = 3.78% The most demanded model in mid-2017 is therefore the M 6 (LCI) with 2.95 %, the least requested model of the 650 (before facelift) with 14.92%. n Models : M 6 (LCI) 630 (LCI) 630 (before facelift) 645 Sinking demand (or increased supply) is available for the following models : M 6 (before facelift) 650 (LCI) 650 (before facelift) The (still) increasing demand of the 645 (or the lost supply) is due to the low entry price (cheapest eight-cylinder). This can be seen from the fact that the 650 before facelift models perform exorbitantly worse compared to the 650 LCI. The most stable value (short supply) are (as in 2015 forecasts). The M 6 (LCI) and 630 (LCI).

  • 850i Longevity / Quality

Hello, I would like to change from my MB C Coupé to the BMW 8er world. Here with the 850i (V8 BiTurbo) just becomes more and more interesting for me personally and is a development of a 6 cylinder. Question therefore: how is your experience regarding longevity and also diseases of the G15 engine? Can one buy such a car from a BMW dealer from first hand with 80,000 KM without hesitation? Of course, this always depends on the previous owner, yet there are engines that are more susceptible to Problems are like others. Please pass on your expertise! Greetings

  • N62 jerks and has ignition oscillators when warm

Hello municipality, so I have a nice 645, which is also a lot of fun. E63 645ci, built in 2004, hand switch with the N62B44 engine. Now to the problems: When I drive with the vehicle and the engine is warm, it tends to jerk. It comes in idle also to ignition oscillations or combustion oscillations, if one stops. But if the air mass meter is pulled off, then the problem is gone. I assume that the valvetronics definitely cannot be the problem, right? Is it possible that it is also the air mass meter?
