  • M850i Cabrio – Sport+ mode / manual flap control / sound

    Hello together, is the flap in the exhaust in the Sport+ mode DUERHAFT open, or does this still adjust to speed etc. and opens only partially? If that were so, so permanently open, then manual flap controls like ASR etc would be completely meaningless. Operating permission goes flute for nothing and they do nothing else than the SPORT+ mode. Does anyone have a m850 (cabrio) and a manual flap control installed? Has the sound improved thereby? If in the Sport+ mode the Kl I have my 850er convertible now since July and I miss my Mustang GT 5.0 more and more. That was a sound, I had to grin every time I drive. In the BMW with 530 hp I always catch myself as I push on Sport+ and switch to something to hear… an absolute shame. As wonderful as the car drives itself and no matter how beautiful the look, without sound the nic ht my (dream) car. Has anyone found a halfway legal way to optimize the sound experience?

  • Panamera Turbo (2017) vs. BMW M850 Gran Coupe

    I’m about to make a decision either for an M850 GC or a Panamera Turbo (2017), both needed, with the M850 being 4 years younger and 30k km less on it. Price is not far apart now, but the Panamera is now older. I have to test both to be able to compare at least the driving feeling, but it’s also about other aspects.     Servus, I opened a thread here about a week ago about 7 BMW. Unfortunately it didn’t, because the condition of the interior did not agree. Long speech short meaning. I have now stuck on the 6 and would like to fulfill the dream then still before it goes in a few years to go on electric. It should become a 640i convertible (F12). What should I pay attention to? I read in the forum that you should do without xDrive. In addition, I would be interested if the VorFa celift models are worse than Facelift (2015). Are there must-have equipment? Would you like as little electrics as possible, because I just want to enjoy the car and spend less time in the workshop. Maybe a sports exhaust system that comes through the TÜV. As I said, a pure “good weather car” should be and a dream will be fulfilled without paying attention to the loss of value etc.

  • BMW G15 – Drive disrupted & no longer starts

    Hey dear community, On today’s day, I set my car, a BMW G15 850i xDrive, at around 4:00 p.m. When I opened the driver’s door at about 7:00 p.m., an error message appeared immediately with the message “Drive disturbed” on the display. In addition, an image of a BMW X5 in the tacho area was displayed. Subsequently, several other error messages occurred, including: – Retention system disturbed – Driving assistant restricted – Emergency call system failed I put myself in the vehicle and tried to start the engine, but the vehicle did not ignite. The starter also did not work. When trying to read out possible errors via the on-board computer, I was not shown an error message. In order to fix the problem, I first tried to delete the error messages, which however did not succeed. I then disconnected the vehicle battery, some Z I am currently at a loss as the vehicle does not start or display a specific error message in the system.     Hello, how does a defective crankcase ventilation express itself? I noticed a few drops of oil under the vehicle today. Around the oil filler lid are some oil noses, which could explain the drops. When I opened the lid (in idle mode) carefully, it opened very slightly absorbent. Should this light vacuum be like that? The vehicle is a gasoline, 740Li, FL. Valve cover seal and lid was changed about 6 months ago, so it’s not that. Thank you and greeting.

    Hello together I drive a lot of short distance with my G15 and have configured it so that it starts in Eco Individual mode. I usually switch off the start-stop by hand, because it makes sense to switch on SS at long expected hold times. I wanted to encourage a small discussion about the extent to which it makes sense and what advantages and disadvantages it has to start especially in Eco mode. Since also with Mercedes it is noticeable that as a user the start mode does not I suspect that the Ecomode, apart from the performance, brings with it other disadvantages. I have had the experience of starting the E90 to take it out best because of the steering chain problem with the car. A frequent start leads to the fact that every time the oil pressure for the chain tensioner has to be rebuilt and thus the control chain and guides overly obscured.

  • 640d Gran Coupe xDrive Rims Mixed tyres Comfort

    Hello BMW friends, actually I’m still a VW CC owner, but only for 2 weeks. Then I get my beautiful 6-piece Gran Coupe. Now I had to find out at the test drive unfortunately that it is not so comfortable to drive with 20 customs and runflat tires – despite DDC – so I negotiated with the dealer that I will take the 18-inch with winter tire first. Now I started looking for beautiful 19 customs, and look – there are hardly any beautiful Rims. Due to the different rim sizes this is not easier…. Especially if you don’t want to have mixed tires it is very difficult to find something for the Gran Coupe…. There are some nice 20 inch rims, but I have my concerns about the comfort. Do you have good experience with 20 inch tires without runflat? Or do you know the nice 19 inch wheels that could be put on it? I know the normal rims from the configurator of course….

When unlocking the car, the throttle flap starts to clack in the front, if you want to start the car, a complete Christmas tree lights up in Tacho. The flap clacks further.   • Short distances with a 645i?

    Hello together after I sold my 325 i Coupe, I would like to get a Bmw 645i 8 cylinder. Problem is my work is only 5 km away and I drive around in the leisure time if at all 15 km in the area. 14000km in the year always short distances. I absolutely want a 6 but would not drive through the short distances the engine broken especially in winter ? With my old Coupe I had nice problems with hydrostoes so the clacking in the cold start. Detour to work ok Environmentally friendly isn’t that but the main thing is a 6 thanks for your answers

    Moin, I have a nice six that I would like to buy. The dealer says that the car is a German and he was then registered in Luxembourg and is now again in DE for sale. My question to you dear is who has heard of Luxembourger buying in Germany and then driving in Luxembourg..? Then I thought that it would be a reimport then what would the dealer deny! Is that true?
