Hi together, would like to introduce myself here briefly: I am 47 years old, drive for about 4 years a 635 D convertible and think about buying an M 6. Built in 2013. Although I originally had a 640 D in view I have now torn back and forth. According to my research in the relevant sales platforms the M 6 or the 650 i is in similar, if not even lower price level as the 640 D. I would have to get a second vehicle because I have 50 km to work every day. How are the experiences here regarding the maintenance costs, susceptibility to the M6 or 650 i? I don’t want to start fundamental discussions, because I am aware that all 3 drivers are different. Many greetings and I look forward to your opinion/advice. PS: of course have the 635 D to sell.

A new guy’s looking for a six.
Hello, in my long life I only had to deal with BMW twice. In the 60s I had two 501 baroque angels and at the end of the 80s a Z 1. But now I look more and more often after an E 63. I like very well. But my (free) workshop tries to slow me down, not to say to prevent it. She says that with the extensive electronic the problems are pre-programmed and I will only be dependent on BMW. But I can’t do that at the moment. I would definitely buy a vehicle under 150,000 km, if possible even around 100,000 km. What can I expect in the next few years if I drive about 7,000 km a year? 650i Acquisition and questions…
Hello together, Since I’m a complete newcomer in the BMW range and I didn’t really have much to do with BMW before, except for a 500km drive in the 530d GT. I have a few questions now because I actually come from the VAG range I’m looking for a 650i xdrive for my father-in-law and I’ve looked at the first one today. First of all I have to say that I find the engine of the force and the force unfolding as well as the vehicle of the transmission and also the chassis very impressive… However, I have to say that I find the sound of a 4.4 litre V8 quite modest even in the Sport+ setting. The vehicle I drove today was one without an M-package. Tomorrow I look at one with an M-package… Since I have read a couple times that with an M-package a Klappennauspuff should be installed, but I found nothing in the configurator – is that right? How are your experiences with the Xdrive compared to the Quattro of Audi? Since the vehicle is to be registered in Austria the all-wheel drive is of course not quite insignificant… Would I look forward to some helpful information maybe also some information on what I have to pay attention to during the visits, whereby with vehicles that are one to two years old and have run under 30,000km actually should not be too much defective ??

640i Purchase advice
Hello everybody, I’m looking for a 640i. It’s supposed to be the Facelift model from 2015. The purchase is not planned in 2 weeks, I’m currently watching the market which are offered for vehicles. The selection is not really big in all of Germany at the moment. For example, I don’t intend to drive 800km. It doesn’t matter if GC, Coupe or Cabrio is flying out, because it’s a lot more expensive and little is offered by the GC. ug will be my daily, i.e. about 12-15,000km a year. My first question is, which equipment do you think are mandatory, which Nice to have? I filter on Mobile from 2015, but some of it will still be displayed VFL. Facelift is best recognized by the LED headlights in the description, is that right? I want M-package and the Flappennauspuffanlage. Is the exhaust system series at the Facelift or do I still have to make sure in the vehicle description that the dabe i is? If this is not standard, then it reduces the number of vehicles offered. X-Drive yes no? Another question that interests me, what extra charge would you take if you bought the vehicle directly from BMW or e.g. AHG? I would like to thank you very much for your answers.

Hello, I’ve been trying to sell a 2017 F13 640d in the last three weeks. The car is very well there, with M package, original mileage, original paint, rear drive, accident-free, sapphire black, seats Cognac, 108k km. Overall, so not so bad starting criteria. Now the interest was very limited, although according to Mobile the price was considered very good and it was actually far too cheaply advertised. I know that winter is not the best season around sol I didn’t expect so few requests, but could it be that beautiful coupés in this price range (33k-38k) are no longer being asked?

BMW F01 gearbox disturbed, error
Moin! I’ve been at the google for hours, but unfortunately I haven’t found a reasonable statement yet. Our BMW 730d F01, BJ 2010 has been having problems with the gearbox for quite some time. The following situation: When accelerating strongly – e.g. driving up to the motorway – (but not kickdown) the gearbox often jerks extremely when switching from the 4th to the 5th gear. More precisely: Speed goes up to the limiter, foot of the gas, gear jerks and bumps a bit roughly into the next gear. The gearbox appears in the BC (see attached photos) The gearbox seems to switch on until the 6th gear until it finally gets stuck in the emergency program, i.e. it no longer switches back. Also, the selector lever can no longer be moved into the “M” mode or automatically jumps back to “D”. After a short stop at the parking lot and “engine off – engine in” everything runs again as if nothing had been done. Contrary to the contributions that I found in the net, my BMW contract finds workshop NO error in the error memory. The transmission oil has already been changed, also directly at the friendly one. We are now thinking about asking directly at ZF, the problem is that we are not often on the road in the corner of Dortmund and the trip there (>900km per track) really has to be worthwhile. 730d G11
Hello together, today I received my G11 and started the journey home of 200 km. The G11 is a dream, I drove F10 and 11, X5 F15 and in front of it n F01. All great cars but the G11 packs again a proper hill on it. Must have had. The pimped interior is fun but also a large scope, which takes a lot of time. After the first 2000 km I will write a detailed report. Wanted to express my satisfaction now A. What I noticed for the first time, when I parked the car today it smelled from the engine compartment and also a little smoke. Parking System 3D view too dark
Hello, with my newly acquired 750i LCI Bj 09/19 I have unfortunately shot my rims despite careful driving, see picture. Especially if you have to park in a fucking parking garage like that at the T2 Fraport. But the main reason for my failure is the small center screen, or the tiny 3D/Bird View view of the parking system. If it’s dark around the vehicle, then you can’t see anything on the screen, even if you take the magnifying glass. We nn then still the sun shines can remove the screen and throw it out of the sunroof. Several times I was now of these situations that on the screen there was nothing to be seen when parking. This is then really a disaster for such a car, which I have not yet experienced with any vehicle. Even if the hope is low, is there anything here with which one can improve this circumstance? BMW 650i total engine damage
Hello, it is about a BMW 650i 2012 with 87500km. The car is moved last months in the city. Yesterday I went on the highway, on the return drive at the acceleration track full throttle, then came a loud bang, and white smoke behind the car. Forcibly stopped, I had 15 oil track and the whole oil ran out. From the engine compartment even a metal piece fell. I had directly in front of it no lamp on, at the drive I drove 120-140-150 km/h over 14 km, the engine was warm. After an acceleration at the traffic lights, he had run out of time in the city and then ran in a very restless position. After 2-3 hours everything was ok. He actually ran very well and also no oil consumption. I know, actually it doesn’t matter now. It just happened, the engine is history. You still deal with why question, probably for processing. Here comes my question. Is the repair or with engine damage so worthwhile? Are there in Ruhr area experts ? Where do you get a reasonable AT engine with warranty and of course costs. Used car purchase 640i / 650i (F12) Convertible – Expert assessment?
Hello, I had been smart about a 6′ convertible F12 (from Bj 2011) in the forum for a long time. I was advised against the first 650i with 408hp due to engine problems. The 449hp is supposed to be much better, but is probably still more vulnerable to the 640i (even if it is more fun of course). Is that your opinion too? Otherwise I would like to look at the following three driving lines (see 1, 2 and 3). The 2nd 640i of course did not run very well, but rims are not very good.
