  • Experience with the BMW750i

    Hello, I’m interested in an upper class car and I’m fluctuating between the BMW 7 and the Audi A8. When I compare the offers, it seems to me almost as if there is the Audi A8 55 TFSI and the BMW 750i in the same price structure. I’m surprised because the BMW can come up with a V8. I have about 60.000€ available, the vehicle should come with BMW Premium Selection. Since I drive only about 10000km a year (much home office!) the mileage is not quite so I have already taken various vehicles into the visir. But now I ask myself, before I sign with anticipation, what it looks like with the long-term experiences, especially with the V8. Is this reliable or are problems known, which make it quickly a dime grave? Are other weak points known on the 7s, why one should leave one’s fingers off? What do the inspections cost so much?   • M850i – Hardy disk torn after 93,000 km

    Hello zsm, I have a question to the exhilarated M850i driver. I had a HU/AU appointment today and the examiner criticized a clearly damaged hardy disc when looking at it. I could hardly believe it myself when I saw the good piece (see photos). Did one of you ever have an exchange of the hardy disc? Mine is visibly torn in several places after 93,000 km. At one point you can even see the fabric (photo 2 – but you can see on In my opinion, a hardy disc should last much longer? BMW is just checking whether the good piece is running on guarantee (BMW Premium Selection)? I’m curious. Does anyone of you know if this is covered by the Premium Selection Warranty?

  • BMW 635d, 2010. Problems with the DPF

    Hello everyone, My 635d has a particle filter problem in the screen, but after further drive the message has disappeared again. So the “reset” that it shuts down from the runtime, it actually can not be, because I had already registered a “new” about 2 years ago, with Deep OBD software. But nothing was exchanged, it is a year 2010 with 235k kilometers. I next changed both thermostats and deleted all errors, am circa 40-50 km with 120-150 km/h. Whether he automatically requested a regeneration while driving, I can’t say, could not see anything with Carly there. I tried to request a regeneration in the DPF menu of Carly, but always the message “failed”. The ash and soot values there are to my knowledge only calculated and do not really say anything, it was 60 and 0.95. When I stood in front of the garage, in idle, and thought the topic was done, appeared the Error again on the screen, but has disappeared again after about 1 minute. Afterwards I have read out the error memory: – 00480A Particle filter system – 00410 Exhaust gas backpressure sensor before particle filter, signal Have deleted the errors again and read out the live data: – Cooling water temperature: 93 degrees – Absolute pressure in the particle filter 967.890 hPa – Differential pressure over the particle filter (raw value): 40.876 hPa – Differential pressure over the particle filter: 40.876 hPa – Exhaust gas backdruc k before particle filters – corrected: 977.891 hPa – exhaust pressure before particle filters: 988.891 hPa Can I still try anything before I renew the particle filter + sensors? Have the PISTON PREMIUM app if you can do more with it than with Carly. And as far as the particle filter is concerned: Does it recommend to expand the old one here and send in for free burning or buy a new one (from the accessory)? At the price it comes about to the same thing (350-400 euros), without working hours.

  • Winter tyres / winter complete wheels

    Sorry that I already (again) put the topic on, but it just doesn’t leave me any rest at the moment. I would like to equip my existing original BMW 20″ BMW rims (728 Bi-Color) with 20″ winter tires, which also have a BMW “*” mark, but unfortunately there is not the one at 20″ WinterREIFEN. However, since I am a “branded” child with the topic tires (SUPER sensitive to imbalance), it looks like I have to buy an original 19″ WinterREDER set. for winterers/reifen at 20″, or do you advise me to buy the 19″???   • 650i Cabrio F12 Deck opens and closes no longer

    Hello, I’ve had an F12 for 3 weeks. The top had no problems. The last 3 or 4 times it didn’t go on. After I tried it several times the top had opened and closed … Now nothing goes on anymore, the flap is open at the back, the top is angled at the back and it stops like this! When reading out it does not recognize the position of the top. The engine runs from the top while operating. After a time it switches off and then comes in the display an error message Cover in color red that this can neither be opened nor closed….. Who can help me, am grateful for any help.

  • M850i: Difference brake system –> As standard vs. M-Performance

    Hello all, G15 M850i: With me the complete brake has to be made in front and back. Discs and coverings. Now the question arises for me whether I take the standard discs and coverings again or for approx. 220,- more like the M-Performance system?! The difference lies probably only in the discs. The M-Performance are perforated. The documents for the standard and the M-Performance are the same. Does anyone have experience here? Can anyone tell me something about pros and cons? t really dissatisfied with the standard brake, but 220, – is now not the world. Is the M performance much better? Is it louder?   • 740d steering effort changed

    Since yesterday noon I get the message, which is to be seen on the picture constantly as soon as I hit the steering wheel fully on one side. Just before the message occurs the steering wheel will be short harder to turn. However, the message does not always come, I would appreciate in about 70% of the cases. Does anyone here perhaps know what that could be? I have already read the error memory with the Carly Adapter and another device, however I find no error which on me the problem.

  • 640d purchase: what to consider, what are your experiences?

    After the diesel-bash seems to take off (you probably don’t dare to drive), I tend to go back to the 640d convertible from 2012 onwards. Although the 650i would be nice, purely from the sound alone, it is currently not affordable (from 2013 onwards with the engine-facelift on 448hp). Furthermore, the injector-defect messages, which you can read many times, scare me. How about 640d (which should not be inferior to the 650i from the passage), what should be taken into account when buying (max. Speed 70tkm)? Thank you GGA
