  • Different summer & winter tire dimensions – Does the F06 adapt automatically?

I am currently driving a BMW F06 650i xDrive 4.4L with the following winter wheels: Rims: 4 x Original BMW 8.5×19 EH2+ ET 25 (VA + HA identical) Tires: 4 x Dunlop Winter sports 5 255/40 R19 100V XL (VA + HA identical) I want to get the summer rims and tyres now, but I’m not sure if you’re with the current car settings ( suspensions, tachoeichung etc.): Rims (VA): 2 x Original BMW 703M 8.5×20 ET 33 Rims (HA): 2 x Original BMW 703M 9×20 ET 44 Tires (VA): 2 x Summer tire Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT* RSC 245/35 R20 95Y Tyres (HA): 2 x Summer tire Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT* RSC 275/30 R20 97Y BMW recommends this summer wheel constellation for my specific car. My question now is whether the F06 recognizes that other, but also approved, wheels are installed and automatically adapts to these new wheels, or if there are problems, which should mean that you have to make additional adjustments on the car (adjust suspensions, tacho The “wheel size calculator” shows the following differences with regard to the VA tyres/wheels combinations:https://www.wheel-size.com/…/?… Among other things, the side wall height changes with respect to the front tyre by 16%, the circumference decreases by 1% and the weight increases by 0.6 KG.https://www.wheel-size.com/…/?… In the rear axle the values are a bit different again. *Bonus question: BMW officially recommends the star The Dunlop SP SportMaxx GT is the only one that can be considered. Would I be so much worse off with a Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric F6? The SportMaxx does even worse in tests than the cheaper Eagle, yet there is no star from BMW…

  • Gear failure

Hello everybody, I bought a 645 Ci convertible a week ago. Just coming back from a Black Forest tour, almost 2000 kilometers, while the wahen swallowed itself up a little bit while accelerating, so it was extremely ruckle. A very slight jerking also occurred when cruising from time to time. On the highway the car finally reported after swallowing again “gear disturbance”, but he did not switch to emergency operation yet. After ignition was off/one the Fe Okay, I’ll have the FS read out, of course, but maybe someone can help me with some information before I get to the seller… what could that be? What do I have to reckon with? Thank you very much for your help… Greetings – Tom

  • I’m looking for a 650i E63/64 design that avoids engine and transmission problems

Hello dear forum, I just bought a 2010 BMW 650i Cabriolet with 45,000 km. It’s my second e64/63 650, after I had one 6 years and tried several other V8 GTs. Now I know that the e63/64 650 is the one. I am neither an experienced car mechanic nor a do-it-yourselfer, but as far as I understand Timm-s repair & information and others, everything is about preventive maintenance. I want to keep this car forever, so I’m ready I drive it about 5,000 km a year in the dry area around Athens, safely stored in a garage. Can anyone support me here with a detailed maintenance plan, which is regular, after what time or mileage is to be done, even if no fault or failure has occurred so far? Very welcome would be a comprehensive maintenance proposal with precise designation of liquids, seals and other Spare parts that I can pass on as a specification to the workshop of my trust. I have learned that the BMW plan is not enough, for example with the mechatronic transmission. Thank you for your support!

  • Engine noise cause (645Ci)?

Hello friends, I noticed a rattling noise coming from the area of the front lid Bank 1 or the throttle flap. Whenever the engine runs under the idle speed, this noise becomes louder, e.g. when starting up or when you open the oil cover and the speed drops for a short time. But even in idle one hears a slight polter. At higher speeds the noise disappears. I thought first, it would be the ZMS, which ratters when starting but it clearly comes out Bank 1 in front. I think it has something to do with the idle control. It sounds like ratters, surren as if something is loose. I recorded it:https://youtu.be/Vypz6VUoHtM car is 645ci from 2004 , switch, 180 tkm. Since I will soon open the valve covers, I might want to exchange the causer. What could that be? Vacuum pump , vanos, chain ? Does anyone have an idea? Greetings,Martin

  • Purchase advice Gasoline 5 Series or 6 Series

Hey people I don’t know if the question has already come up or it tells me please. So I’m looking for a 640i or a 530i. My problem is the following. I’ve always driven diesel until now until suddenly a weak petroler. Now it makes me itchy for a petroler with power so from about 250hp up to max 320hp. Due to my daily work distance of not quite 100km a diesel would be of advantage by the consumption. And here lies d he point. I am very spoiled by the diesel from the consumption and therefore where are you fie consumptions in normal driving mode and to what would you guess outside of these two vehicles? Thanks already for your help. MFG StefanpConsumption very spoiled and

  • Suspicion of a defective articulated disc (hardy disk) F12 650i, question of service costs

Hello, ride for quite some time a 650i LCI f12. Unfortunately only problems. The first defect occurred at approx. 10,000km It was performed once repair kit inlay nut. The second defect then occurred at 12,000km. Very loud scratching in the high sound loudspeaker Bang&Olufsen High End The third defect then occurred at 20,000km. Aktor HSR had a defect (back axle steering) Now the car comes back into the workshop at 24,000km suspicion on joint disc (see video below.) Depending on the speed, you can hear a change in the sound. There is already a PuMA measure 35464351, unfortunately I don’t know what the meaning is! Now my question is what this may be about is the defect and if it might be something else! Another question about the Great Service: According to my dealer, it should cost about 2,000euro! I fell on my ass when I heard that The X6 or the 4s both cost no more than 500-700Euro! Is the price ok?

  • BMW M6, F12, brake pads and discs VA renew

Hello together, would have a question: What kind of pads and brake discs would you recommend for the above vehicle? Is the “normal” version with 560 hp. With the current pads I noticed that they make the rims very quickly “dirty” or dusty. Are I still thinking the first (80tsd km) or the second pads. In the spring I will probably completely renew the front brakes. BMW meant those are overdue. Must be slightly smiled, because I then have around itself r to go the wheels dismantled and found that there is still about 10 mm covering. Safety is important to me, but that is still enough thick? In the spring I will check the brakes again despite everything. Maybe the good man with the friendly also meant the brake discs. because my car TÜV has new I think they are also still in order. What do you mean? Take off? Or I have to be more careful. And if yes, what kind of cheiben / coverings should I take? Do you have good references ellen? Does not want any “no name” products. Greetings, Jonas

  • Repair costs

Hello am new here and hope you can help me…. soon the brake pads and discs of the front axle will change. In addition, oil changes with oil filters will arrive. I ordered the pads with discs and oil, which is also approved for the vehicle. That’s why I wanted to know what the BMW workshop will require of me in terms of repair costs. thank you in advance gruss Yasin

  • BMW newcomer and questions about winter tyres at the E64 630i

Moin, my name is René and I recently bought a 630i convertible. So far I have been on the road with the Sterngemeinde and therefore BMW is new ground for me. I have the following questions about possible winter tyres: I find the BMW 18 inch rim “M double spoke 184” quite handsome and would like to drive it in the winter. However, I find only contradictory sources online – some say only for M6 and others say mobile on all E63/E64. A BMW dealer around the corner says also only for M-Mod elle (because the computer didn’t show the rim as an accessory for my chassis number – why it doesn’t fit, but he couldn’t explain it to me). Can someone tell me why this rim should only be for M-models – is this due to another hole circle or other screws e.g. M14 instead of M12??? The basic data of the rim 8×18 ET14 should actually fit. The BMW catalog in the attached picture says the rim is not for M6 – in another overview again only for M – who kan There are also three links of the corresponding offers – here too it is partly assumed that these should only be for the M-models.http://www.ebay.de/…/172900362346?…http://www.ebay.de/…/282693945777?… (I know this would not fit the cross-section)https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/…/720542130-223-2893 Then a question about this offer:http://www.ebay.de/…/352163693069?… Despite different rim sizes on the VA and HA are mounted here around 255/40 – actually it should be 245/40 on 275/35. How can I find out if 255/40 would also be released or if someone knows if this is allowed Are there actually any tyre / rim approval lists for the BMW models available online – so for BMW original rims of course! Thank you in advance for your help. VG René
