Purchase advice E38 740i 12/98 Facelift 130000km 1500€
Hello together, I am thinking of buying a BMW 740i E38. It is a private sale with 130,000 km, very good equipment, and the vehicle is a first possession of an older gentleman who unfortunately died. The son (about 60 years old) sells the car now. A few details: • Service booklet: Not complete, but all repairs were probably made at BMW. • Damage: The vehicle once had a sheet metal damage at the rear left. • TÜV: According to the seller, the vehicle is in the l TÜV-report “without defects” registered (valid until 2026), however, a slight defect due to oil moisture was previously found at the TÜV. The seller thinks that the car had been driven for a while. • Rust: allegedly stainless. • Electrics: The starter and the electronics were replaced twice, as well as the battery, but the car sometimes only starts with the second attempt. In addition, the seller sent me all invoices by video. Unfortunately, many d avon hard to read, which is why I can’t give you exact details. However, I can upload photos from the service booklet and a larger repair if that helps. I have some concern that the engine might have been damaged due to the non-stop maintenance or oil moisture. Questionable diagnosis of a workshop
Meal, I briefly describe my “problem” here. I currently have my car in a workshop far away from my home town. There the VSD should be changed, which is also fulfilled however the communication is quite poor and unprofessional (don’t report as discussed etc.). Now comes the workshop informs me that my control chain is hung, do this by sending a video as someone shakes with the finger on the steering chain and this The workshop suggested engine out and chain changes for the 3000-4000 € extra. My car has no typical signs which point to an elongated control chain (rash, ruckel, lamps gleam etc.). Due to this imense calculation is for me now questionable to what extent this diagnosis is “reliable” or if here is only trying to press the bill a little bit if you are already there. Thanks already

645 Cabrio – Battery problems, monitor no longer works – Where are the fuses?
All of them. have a 645 convertible and a few problems with it. And the battery (90 AH) was always empty after a day of service, so that I built a new one in there. (110 AH) Now I did not have the (yet) to learn or code it. After 4 days the new battery was empty again – and had to bridge. Has it lasted again 2 days, again empty… Is that because of the “not learning/coding”? Or the 645er any childhood diseases concerning a consumer? One ne Well, had to bridge again yesterday, since the on-board monitor and radio no longer works. Do I assume, or do I hope it’s just a fuse… Unfortunately, I don’t have a manual and look for the fuses, can one of them help me? And, where are the fuses everywhere? 635d shuts down at full throttle
Hi, I have a rather annoying problem with my 635d. The engine simply shuts down under load:/ The first time reading out all injectors were in the FS. You will find the FS report enclosed. I then deleted the FS and drove slowly further. On a slight slope it went out again:€ In the FS only the 6 injector error code 004460 Controlling Do you think it’s just the one injector or something rougher?

E63 from 8,000€ serös ?
Hi guys, I’m thinking now if I should buy an E63. Shake only at the price and engine. Diesel is also ok if the sound is right, because that would be important to me with the car. I am about 9000km-10000km when it comes up in the year and because of the health car tax-free. Insurance at the ADAC is 45% and SF5 and according to Check25 with Teikasko and SB 150€ would be between 75€-100€ per month. I calculated fuel with up to 150€ per month. In the net you will find again and again models around 800€ upwards which sometimes look very good and have been maintained (and have check booklet), nevertheless I have my doubts. (Have looked at them personally) Because I don’t know any of the E63 drives and I could address them. Here are mostly only CL500 drivers. My bowet that I have set for the first time are 1200€, but have no probs either. Maintenance work would be up to 200€-30 The SuFu has already answered some questions but some of these threads are already 4-5 years old. That’s why now this question.

Motor lamp keeps coming back.

Seat wobbles F12
Hello, thought it might be better to re-emphasize the topic again in the hope of getting relevant answers after the SuFu remained without result. 630i Cabrio: control chain
Hello, my 630er with meanwhile 310,000 Km makes mucken – idling off too easily sawing – only with strong acceleration…….starts he suddenly to jerk. Sounds as if a few pots do not work – turn off engine, wait briefly and start again… runs back normal ?? The master of my trust has read out and thinks the control chain had to be replaced, cost approx. 2.00.-€
